I joined CrossFit Cortland at a point when I was kind of lost and searching for a new passion and community. The coaches and other members really welcome you in and make you feel at home. There’s a lot of variety in the workouts and they really challenge you to go outside your comfort zone and move your body in new ways. Also the workouts help to push your mental threshold for other hard things in life. At 41 CrossFit has helped to give me a second wind in life and feel like there’s many things I still want to do. Thanks everyone.

The staff at CrossFit Cortland is top notch. They have the unique ability to meet you where you’re at and professionally and non-judgmentally lead you to better health and wellness. I participated in their nutrition challenge and found it very helpful. There was an easy app to download, lots of short 2-5 minute videos and an accountability checklist that was super helpful for keeping on task. Small changes each week built up to have long-term, sustainable impact. Very happy with the connections I made and the positive changes that have stuck. Not sure where to start? CF Nutrition has helped me have a better relationship with food. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. CF Nutrition has helped me make better choices in food and break the unhealthy habits I have aquired over the years. There is also the accountability factor that helps keep me on track. Having a nutrition coach to help with advice and guidance is what love about this program. Youare not given information and then left to navigate on your own. To have someone that can help and guide you on your journey is key. This program has really changed the way I eat and the choices I make. I love the videos there is always something that I can take and incorporate into my life. I may not have lost the weight that I thought I would I have gained much more. Better nutrition means I have more energy. I am definately sleeping better. I have noticed that I am getting more out of my workouts. My clothes fit differently. If anyone has tried it all and is still frustrated I would recommend CF Nutrition. It truley is a well rounded program that gives you guidance that you can take with you anywhere. There is no counting calories or points. I can go to most restaurants and can navigate any menu.

CF Cortland and CF Nutrition is a place where I feel accepted. Accepted for my age, my gender, my fitness level. This is the longest I have ever stuck with an type of fitness program.

CFC Nutrition really helped me sort through some unhealthy mindsets surrounding eating and also educated me on how to nutrionally equip myself when my schedule gets busy and I don't have time to prepare meals at home. I definitely recommend Coaches Mark and Amanda for their knowledge and guidance!

This place and its people are beyond what I could imagine a gym being. I have been to many that all boast the same but never seem to deliver. The people of CrossFit Cortland are so amazing, it has quite literally become my favorite place to be. The environment is supporting, encouraging, non judgmental and so much fun to be a part of. They are always doing things to help out their community and encouraging members to do their absolute best! My only regret is not finding it sooner. All you need is one class to be completely hooked!

CrossFit Cortland makes it easy for me, as a new mom, to get my hour of fitness in even when I have to bring my 4 month old along with me! I know he’s safe and I am going to have a great hour of quality instructed fitness!

I have been to a few nutritionists in recent years. I have been disappointed and not sure I wanted to try this program. I was happily surprised this approach is very different from my previous disappointing experiences. I dont want to take dozens of supplements per day. I have always struggled with portion control and sweets and too much alcohol. This program helped me stay true to my intentions by planning my meals for the day. Documenting all my food and fluids. It was inspiring to see I met most days with my calorie goal and exercise levels. Other programs I have used did not offer inspiration with daily videos and other people’s photos and recipes. I have tried many of the recipes offered in this program. I noticed my clothes are fitting better. My energy is better. My focus is better. I am most proud I have had very little sugar and no alcohol on this 28 day challenge. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants a program that works.

When I started the nutrition challenge I didn’t realize how much sleep I was missing out on. And not so much the quantity but the quality too. This program has helped me with sleep consistency and has in turn made me feel like I could tackle my day with clarity and energy. I have gained tips on how to get to sleep faster and stay asleep through the night. I realized it was working after a few days of hitting my 7+ hours a night and I didn’t get but 5.5-6 hours on a Sunday night and I totally felt it. I quickly decided that having the same routine was going to help even on the weekends. I really enjoyed the mentality of not restricting certain foods as I am a sweets girl and diets have failed me before as I never want to give them up so knowing that I wasn’t having to give up anything was great for my my mentality. However, making sure I was getting all the foods I need in a day soon pushed those sweets aside. I am making sure to have protein and non starchy foods at all meals and I’m staying full longer and not reaching for those sweets to just tie me over to the next meal. The stacking process of this program is great too. Changing just one thing a week and then adding another change the next week has really helped keep me focused and motivated. This program has not only helped me but my family. As I have been going through this my husband and kids are right there with me and eating better balanced meals. I can’t recommend this program enough! I’m so thankful I took the leap to try this! Our coaches are amazing and supportive every step of the way and so are the athletes!

From Day 1 the support has been amazing. The meal planning was simple and easy to follow. The weekly check ins helped to keep you on track. Overall the 28 day challenge provided additional support and accountability. The daily videos are very relevant and quick helpful reminders. Joining Crossfit Cortland is One of the best decisions I Have ever made. The coaches really give all their best and they really do care about every single person there. It doesn’t matter what level you are when you begin I’m in my 60s and overweight and the coaches just scale it down to fit each person‘s needs all the members are so nice and helpful and they encourage you. I can’t say enough about Amanda when I feel like I can’t keep going she encourages me and reminds me that I’m getting stronger every day. Just try it one day and you will definitely join. It’s very addicting and I love it thank you CrossFit.

I joined Cortland CrossFit 8 months ago. The coaches and people (athletes) are very welcoming. It is a community of like-minded people who are supportive no matter what your fitness level is. Also, kids are welcome! So, don’t keep waiting for the right time to come alone, just bring the kiddo’s.

CrossFit Cortland is an amazing place to kick start your fitness journey. There are step down workouts so things can be tailored to your fitness level. The space is so clean and the other members are so welcoming. If you are nervous about joining a gym, don't be this is your place to not only work out but get connected to amazing people. Attention to detail is what makes this place different. Give it a try, make some friends, and reach the goals you set for yourself. You won't regret it. Coaches are amazing too. Gyms like Crossfit Cortland have the habit of starting off as a place to work out that turn into friendships that become like family.

I was so hesitant to join CrossFit. I thought there was no way that I would be able to do it. It looked too hard for me. I finally gave it a try and honestly anyone can do it. Anything that looks or feels too hard, the coaches modify for you Each person is at their own level and most will modify something during the class so it’s no big deal. I absolutely love it now. I feel so much better and stronger. It’s worth every penny!

I signed up for onboarding classes in January 2023 (in true resolution fashion!) to try something new. I’d been “CrossFit curious” for a long time, but didn’t think I would be capable or would feel judged for my ability/fitness level. I finally took the plunge and figured if I hated it, I never had to go back. Quite the opposite happened! I started 2x/week and have increased my membership steadily through the year. It’s the best part of my day. Hard? Yes. Mentally and physically rewarding? Also, yes. The gym is clean, well equipped, and constantly making improvements. The members are incredibly supportive, encouraging, and have never once made me feel judged or incapable. The coaches are super knowledgeable and willing to accommodate any and all ages and fitness levels. They are open to scaling ALL workouts to meet your needs- whether you have an injury or just are not quite there yet with the movements. I joined Cross Fit Cortland almost 2 months ago. For many years I had always envied those who did Cross Fit but was too intimidated to try it out. After many conversations with both Amanda and Quinton Giles, the owners I was inspired to try it. I couldn't be more thankful for the experiences I have had. Everyone is welcoming and encouraging and you are not shamed for going your own pace. My son also joins for the kids class and it's one of his favorite things to do. I love this facility and instructors! I started almost 4 months ago, new and overweight. I have been welcomed in, instructed and given alternatives that challenge me and keep me safe while working up to more challenging exercises.
