I wanted to go, but they never wanted to tell me the prices. They offered me a free class, but it wasn't a class. It was just a consultation without training. It was a complete sales pitch.

Started on class pass then became a member. Great community where the coaches meet you where you’re at. It’s still a serious gym, so if you have no knowledge (like I did 2 years ago) make yourself known to the coaches and they’ll keep an eye on you.

Here is my attempt at a testimonial, if I could ever tell someone why they should start doing crossfit or just getting in better shape in general: it's so that they can travel, and particularly in the way I've been traveling the past couple of weeks. I have been thanking my past self for making the decision at the beginning of the year to 1) stop drinking 2) start exercising and eating clean again and 3) joining Crossfit Queens this last summer. I've traveled and taken trips before -- although this has certainly been the biggest, most real trip I've ever undertaken -- but that was when I was younger and invincible (or at least felt invincible). I celebrated my 37th birthday last week in Spain and I put these somewhat old bones through the ringer. Traveling can be a physically taxing activity, especially when approached with a wild mentality: unsure of where I'd be sleeping some nights, lugging my life around on my back from accommodation to accommodation, city to city, country to country, running to catch trains and planes, exploring new areas, doing handstands on the beach to impress some girls, racing my buddy in the ocean, even simple tasks like climbing in and out of baths without slipping and falling, or crawling in and out of a bunk bed in a hostel dorm room. The fear of being stitched up while on the road because of a stupid injury has grown as I've gotten older but I wasn't as concerned this trip because I'd been taking better care of myself. Stretching and lifting and running allowed me to really get after it these last couple of weeks. I wanted to find affiliates to drop into but there was always something to do, somewhere to go, or just necessary moments of rest. But I did manage to stretch and do press ups here and there (helped me stay zen when I was trying to sort out a flight change on the phone). Being complemented by friends from almost a decade ago because of how I looked, being able to dance all night at my friend's wedding, and at his wedding after party, and other than feeling tired from the madness I actually felt pretty great and I know that joining up and going to classes is a very big part of that. I was able to travel to Poland, Germany and Spain, go all day, very little sleep, last one to crash, first one to rise and it's because I was in better shape than I was last year. And now there are plans in the works for a big trip stateside in April and I'm immensely excited for the progress I hope to make between now and then. Back off the booze (Polish wedding and meeting up with old friends, had to get some pints in), eat clean and stretch, and try to really push myself during upcoming classes to maximize what I think I could be. The ultimate goal will be the ability to continue to travel in this manner for as long as I can, and being fit is key. Long ramble, but wanted to give an update, and to say thank you to all of the great coaches for helping me be better prepared for what was a trip of a lifetime. I'll be back in class next week. Definitely want to stay on this path

Dropped in at CF Queens today for the noon class. The class was 15 people but the space is big enough it didn't feel cramped at all and the coach did an excellent job of giving everyone personalized coaching.
The coach was knowledgeable and the community seemed very friendly.
I would definitely drop in at this box again next time I am in town.

Been a CFQ member for about a year now! I joined with a certain level of fitness already, but needed additional motivation/guidance because I was getting stale with my regular workouts. CFQ and their types of xfit workouts are helping me discover more of the 'functional' areas of fitness, beyond just lifting heavy things, but pushing my physicality in new ways. The coaches are great and what keeps me going back. I did keep my regular gym membership to just have that option when I'm not feeling like a class, but if one's budget allows, it's worth investing in a trial at least to test out the vibes!

I started CrossFit here because I needed something that would push me—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. I wanted to break out of my routine and invest in my health. What I found was so much more.

This box gave me confidence I didn’t know I had. The coaches actually care about helping you grow, not just in strength, but in mindset and movement. I’ve improved my technique, my endurance, and most importantly, my relationship with myself.

It’s not just a workout—it’s a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered. I leave every class feeling proud, strong, and more aligned with the version of me I want to become.

If you’re looking for a place that challenges you, supports you, and helps you become your best self, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough. 💪✨

Incredible gym with excellent coaching and programming. I was a little apprehensive of CrossFit at first, but CFQ transformed the gym from an agonizing chore to a challenge I look forward to completing. Class-based workouts are offered throughout the day with top tier coaches leading each class and providing individualized instruction. The workouts are intricately designed to build off of each other and improve strength, skill and conditioning. I only wish I started sooner!

I’ve been going to CFQ on and off for about 2 years now. I worked out here and there before but was very intimidated when I first started CrossFit. I quickly felt comfortable because the coaches are very friendly and helpful, on top of meeting new people, which makes working out so much more fun. I began to go consistently and after 3 weeks of going 3-4 times/week, I saw the results and that made me hooked ever since.

Whether you are a beginner like I was or super advanced, CF is for everybody and you will love the quick results you get :))

This place offers a one size fits all kind of work out. They market their classes as “all levels welcome,” but I’d say they really are advanced classes with little to no modifications offered.

I cancelled my membership after sustaining a back injury, and realizing that no care was being taken in terms of safety or technique. There is only one trainer for ~20 people per class (instead of the 2 trainers they sell you on). I was rarely given any feedback or adjustments, and mostly left to myself to figure out how much to lift and how to modify certain exercises.

The trainers don’t take the time to learn any of the new members names, which leads to a clicky and exclusive vibe for the “regulars.”

The owner Nicole would sometimes join the workouts only to show off…which was strange to say the least. And she would sit at the front desk on her phone (mind you, it’s just one large room), when she could have been walking around the room and offering feedback.

I would not recommend CrossFit Queens at $175/month. You’re better off joining Orange Theory or throwing yourself down a flight of stairs.

I never thought I’d end up at a CF gym but here I am. Prime example of don’t knock it til you try it. I definitely stumbled into the right place. After admitting to myself that barbells are fun, I settled into this really nice, welcoming community. The other gym goers are generally pretty cool. The coaches push you to be better, but they’re not unreasonable with their expectations at all. They meet you where you are and foster a supportive, inclusive environment. So I’m a CrossFit person now.

About seven years ago, I hated traditional cardio, so I started doing 'CrossFit-style' workouts at NY Sports Club. These workouts worked well for a while and were a welcome distraction and change from the standard treadmill, stairmaster, etc. However, at a certain point, I wanted access to equipment that NYSC did not have and professional coaching, as I had been self-taught up until that point in my life.

That's what I was *looking* for by joining. What I actually got was so much more! Aside from a top-notch facility, elite coaching, and amazing programming, I built lasting friendships, created lifelong memories, achieved gymnastics and weightlifting milestones that I never thought possible, and had seeds planted (by the coaches and CrossFit philosophy) for things like nutrition, mobility and aerobic capacity that I would have never taken seriously had I not joined CFQ.

Many other current and former members would share the above sentiment. If you are reading this, take the plunge. I promise it will be worth it!

I want to give them 4 stars because it's a good workout, just not up my alley. I have to give 1 star because of how intrusive their marketing is. I attended 1 class. Every day I get an email from them, each time from a different address so I can't block them. I also get 1 text a week, again from different numbers so I can't block them. I'm to the point of taking legal action because of how aggressive their marketing is. My only advice is don't get them any info, they will hound you until you change your email and phone number.

I see people from this gym running up and down the block when I pass by so I was naturally intrigued. I tried to check their website for pricing details but they provide no information, based on the other reviews of shady business practices I am turned off. Why do they feel the need to hide their pricing when technology has allowed information to be so easily accessible? It make a business look extremely suspicious from a consumer standpoint.

I find this place online and I was super happy that is close to my house. I came from European small country Bosnia to get my Massage therapists degree followed with Master degree in Meddical nutrition and I was always feeling welcome to any place I went to. I am super adrenaline junkie doing Olympic weightlifting lifting from primary school. So I just wanted to train around similar people. I like tribe vibe. Small circle, family energy.
I wanted to try this crossfit here so I booked the 7 days trial just to feel the place and people. To be honest girl that I spoke to was amazing warm and ready to help with everything. Her name is Deanna.

From trial days I did just one training because I was super bussy this week with my school, and today I came to use this last day for a training and finnal decision on yearlong subscription.

When I came for a training tonight the trainer (if you can call him like that) was super rude, disrespectful and he bassicly show me the door. Like judgement in his communication with me was really disappointing. He didn't allow me to use last day of trial for his own reasons.
I hope you are going to lean how to treat people like human beings. If there is possibility to give ypu 0 I would do it just based on the fact how judgemental and rude he was. There are some amazing trainers around please hire them, people like this guy does not deserve this job. This should be safe and acceptable place!

My sister and I were members for over a year and we miss it everyday. We left right before the pandemic because we had to move and we genuinely wish we could go back. This place was our favorite part of our day because the coaches were awesome and the members were friendly. From our very first interaction with coach Amy and Ferg we felt like we belonged. They were so nice to us. We were regulars at coach Dave’s class and genuinely loved it. We lived for the Saturday pump class. We were also regulars at kev and Megan’s class and we miss them. They were so helpful and nonjudgemental. We were in the best shape of our lives when we wwre members. I still use what I learned here when I go to my new gym. We Absolutely loved CrossFit queens and recommend anyone looking for a gym should check this place out.

Just joined about a month ago after a long hiatus from any crossfit gym/workouts and an even longer one from doing cf workouts on any consistent basis. I am very happy with my decision!! Atmosphere is chill, but welcoming. Coaches are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and have good vibes. It is a cf gym that has been around a while and is pretty traditional, so that's what drew me to it when I was trying to decide where to go to get back into it. Workouts are not overwhelming and there are not a million parts to do each day. They keep the programming straightforward and effective. Space is clean and organized.

My friend and I just bought memberships because they have a great promotion going on, 50% off. Unfortunately all the classes were full, even into the following week. We called to understand the probability of getting into class, the woman on the phone, Diana, said we could put our names on the waitlist. There’s no waitlist online.

We called again. She was able to get my friend in the class but not me. We asked if we could just start the membership next week then since it looks like we won’t be able to take classes together this week. She said no. We asked to cancel. She also said no.

that they need 30days advanced notice so we are also going to be charged for the following month.

Just disappointed. We were so ready to get back in the gym, and feel a little scammed. They’re offering memberships without the space for them. We work in the restaurant/service industry, and when you overbook like that, you better be ready to apologize & bend over backwards to get your guests to stay.

First off, how is replicating Coach Amy going? She is so amazing. I've had coaches who were athletes and I've had athletes as coaches and Amy is that exceptional coach who is mature, perceptive, reactive, knowledgeable, engaged and just damn likeable.

Coach Ferg was a great onboarder for the first two lessons. He gave me a Row technique that's dropped my pace 10 to 15 seconds at any effort. Why couldn't I have talked to him six years ago! I'm looking forward to signing up for the nutritional challenge so I can work with him again. (Shout out to Coach Ethan, too, can you two lead classes sometimes please?)

I don't know who's involved with the programming but it's brilliant. Is that Coach Dave? Love him. And Coach Catherine, and I only got to work with Coach Deanna once but these are all smart, effective, positive, generous coaches. (And Amy, le sigh!)

Decent workouts. The instructors are awesome. Reason for one star is the groupon and membership is very misleading.
Before you buy just know that you can only go to two classes daily. 12 pm and 6pm
And you’re doing fundamental classes for a month. If you’ve never worked out their ok but if you have before YOU WILL BE BORED TO TEARS.
now for their billing. If you wanna cancel membership. You have to do it. Exactly 60 days before you want to end. So for example I got screwed. Because I canceled July 8 thinking July would be my last month. I was told I still have to pay for August. So you have to cancel in June to avoid being charged August And it’s not cheap at $200. Go on yelp plenty of reviews stating this just so you know it not just me. Cheers friends.

I've adopted this place to workout because I needed a mental break and to do something good for myself in the face of a rather stressful professional promotion. The staff are wonderful and terribly supportive. As an educator I have to say I'm rountinely impressed by the teaching tools they use in each class, some of which are useful at any age. Ultimately, they make everyone feel comfortable, they cover and reinforce the basics (ie form and form as function) and then they push you to succeed. I love to workouts because I'm always challenged and they are never the same. Definitely do a workout or two here just to see for yourself.

Great and very professional staff guiding and helping you every step of the way. This is probably the only place you can feel like you are working out in between friends.
Its also conveniently located right under a subway station..
I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I signed up for a 1yr membership for their Unlimited "Group WODs" classes on Sept 12th. I paid $300 up front plus a prorated rate of $99/month (i'd pay $99 for the following months). I had previously taken their introduction classes earlier in the year which was called "3-2-1 GO" (more on this later)

A couple days later, they sent out an email to all members announcing that they had changed their programing. The "Group WODs", which I had signed up for, had changed to "Flex Fit". A class where you wouldn't see "...Olympic lifting, barbell workouts or high skilled CrossFit movements.", all of which were things I expected in "Group WODs". For a wholesome experience of CrossFit, I would now have to upgrade my membership to their "CrossFit" class, previously known as "CrossFit Sport".

This not what I wanted and so I proceeded to end my membership and request a refund (on sept 19). I told them that I'd like to pay for the 5 classes I attended ($25/class) and get refunded the difference of what I originally paid. The person with whom I spoke with told me I would receive a refund in a couple days. (note- I went in person since I got an answering machine when calling)

A week passed and I had NOT RECEIVED A REFUND or any other further communication. I then went into the gym where they gave me an email address to contact regarding the refund.

A week after that, NO RESPONSE. And so I proceeded to go into the gym and speak with the owner. I let Jon know my situation and he denied my refund. Instead he offered me two months of the upgraded plan - I declined the offer, mainly because I wanted to cut my ties. Also, I had recently joined CrossFit Dynamix and my experience there has been 5-star.

I write this review to warn people to be careful in committing to a long term membership with CrossFit Queens. It left me with a sense that they change their programming often. When I signed up, I found out that they already had changed the intro class name, 3-2-1 GO to something else.

I was left disappointed and frustrated - 1) With the sudden change in programming and 2) With the effort it took on my part to have this resolved.

I used to live on the other side of the block from this place. I'd see their classes running around the block with sand bags over their shoulders. So, I tried a class. Really great gym. Good focus on safety, plenty of fine equipment, open late. If I did Crossfit, I'd go here.

I've dropped in here a few times in passing through Astoria. Although my visits were totally random, each time two things remained consistent. The community was welcoming and the staff is super knowledgeable. I took advantage of open gym when I visited. I was able to freely use the facility and equipment. The box is spacious and new renovations allow for better utilization of the space. Great sense of community and overall atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Crossfit Queens ? The place to be !!

Crossfit Queens is a great place, the coaches and members are truly amazing. The atmosphere is great. Once i was introduced to Crossfit Queens i became addicted to how i can challenge my body and have fun as well. The people here motivated you and help you accomplish you goals. You can ask anyone or any coach to help you in anything with no hesitation, if they haven't yet came to assist you ! Crossfit Queens is one of the few places where you can feel comfortable while working out with others.
Love it !!!

CrossFit Queens is Awesome! The coaches are terrific, and I love the atmosphere. The best part about CFQ is that there are no solo workouts; you're always training with other CrossFitters who are motivating you to train hard. So far, I have been doing the Beginners program, and I really enjoy it. I like how they teach you all the foundational movements and make sure that your technique is spot on before letting you enter Mixed Level Classes. Though it's a Beginners Program, it's definitely not easy!
