Today’s class at CrossFit Rockland was a retest of a workout we did earlier this year, and I was nervous to see if I’d improve or even come close to my previous performance. With Chaya’s thorough warm-up, along with her clear performance tips and cues - like reminding me to engage my core and keep my pace steady - I was able to improve my score this go around.
She constantly walked around the room, noticing small details in form and offering adjustments that made a real difference. Chaya knows how to keep the class engaged through her encouraging tone and by tailoring motivation to each athlete’s individual skills and limitations. It felt like she was coaching just for me, even in a group setting. Thanks for a great class as usual!

I have been going to gyms on and off for years with mixed results, I had heard about Crossfit and wanted to try it. I reached out to CFR online and Rob got back to me quickly we talked about where I have been and what I wanted to achieve, we setup some PT with Rommel to get started. I also worked with Beth for nutrition guidance. We started with small changes in my eating habits and worked a nutrition plan that has helped me change my whole approach towards eating. Better nutrition and and working out has helped me lose weight, improve my cardio, and flexibility.
I can't say enough about CFR and CFR Nutrition program for improving my health and feeling good about my self, I see the results in everything I do from work to playing tennis.

Great coaches make all the difference and CrossFit Rockland is loaded with them. Any one of them could be singled out, whether it’s Rom’s motivation and work ethic or Chaya’s encouragement and insane positivity. Rob and company have really built a something special around fitness and camaraderie.
I credit CrossFit and this box in particular for my weight loss, increased strength, and frankly feeling as well as I have since my early twenties.

After trialing a class taught by Chaya last week, I decided to try a month at Crossfit Rockland.
I signed up for the beginner month that includes three 1-on-1 personal training sessions. While initially i thought I didn't need the personal training, it has been really beneficial for me and I'm glad it's offered as part of the first month! Crossfit is a totally different way of exercising than standard weight training so a tutorial in the different moves and how to maintain proper form is essential!
This week, Rommel has kicked my butt in the best possible way while being super patient and knowledgeable. Every session has started out with a quick overview of basic crossfit moves followed by a 10 minute strenuous sweat session. It felt so good to finally sweat and be challenged after a year and a half of being cooped up due to the pandemic. I also am feeling so much more confident and capable.
Regarding Covid and once again working out with other people: The space is well ventilated since they leave the garage-type door open and everyone is respectful of personal space (which i really like) so no concerns there :)
I'm not sure if Crossfit aligns with my lifestyle but I'm glad i'm giving it a try and would like to commend Crossfit Rockland for being understanding and encouraging while I explore this new fitness journey.
Looking forward to what the month entails and a BIG Kudos to the team for a welcoming me so warmly.

I can’t say enough great things about CrossFit Rockland! As someone completely new to CrossFit, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but from the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported. The community here is incredible—everyone is friendly, encouraging, and genuinely excited to see each other succeed.
The coaching is top-notch. The trainers are attentive, making sure I learn proper form and stay safe, which gives me so much confidence as a beginner. The gym itself is run exceptionally well, and the owner, Rob, goes above and beyond—he checks in with me regularly and is always helpful, which really makes a difference.
Pricing is very fair for the quality of coaching and the supportive atmosphere you get here. I’ve seen some reviews mention cleanliness, but honestly, I’ve never noticed any issues—it’s been great! If you’re looking for a CrossFit gym that truly cares about its members and fosters an amazing community, CrossFit Rockland is the place to be!

I usually shy away from programs like the nutrition program at crossfit rockland but I took a gamble and I am really glad I did. The program serves as an educational experience, provides community with other members and is most importantly a lifestyle not a fad or crash diet. Because this program isn't a fad, I didnt drop rapid weight over the six weeks due to restrictions or eliminations. I learned portion control and balance which did bring about some weight loss but also brought on energy, feeling goodand a big reduction in late night snacking. I am glad I took a risk and participated in this program! I highly recommend it and greatly appreciate the support and team at crossfit rockland!

While visiting New York last week for business, I dropped in the 5:30am class a few days. I really enjoyed everything about the gym and the overall programming was one of the better ones I’ve experienced. The first half of their class really helps prepare your body for the strength and WOD, but you also perform exercises to help prepare your body for certain movements like pistols or getting low in your squat. The coach (terrible with names but I believe it was Rommel) was top notch and really took the time to observe everyone during all movements to ensure proper techniques. I hope to visit again in the future so I can get a t-shirt or sticker.

Great staff and supportive community that pushes your limits. Really enjoy the diversity of workouts and mix of cardio and strength — all within 1 hr blocks that fit nicely into busy schedules. I cannot say enough great things about CrossFit Rockland. I joined approximately 8 months ago and I couldn’t be happier with my fitness progress. The one thing that was holding me back was my diet. I decided to start CrossFit Rockland Nutrition. In one month I lost 6lbs and 3% body fat….and even more than that I have a healthy nutrition plan for life! CrossFit Rockland Nutrition coached me through my diet challenges and now I have a plan to keep me strong and healthy. I have been a member of CrossFit Rockland for a little over a year. I have seen great success in achieving my physical goals in that time. However, i noticed i had plateaued as of late. To combat this; i signed up for CrossFit Rockland nutrition. They showed me new ways to look at food and strategies to be healthier. In the past month i have lost an additional 8lbs and 3% body fat. I highly suggest taking this step to coincide with all the hard work you put in during the WODs.

I had an amazing visit to this box while I was in NY on some personal business. The location was a bit hard to find (it's not right off the street, but rather behind another building) but once I found it, I was super impressed from the time I left until I got home. Coach Rommell was fantastic and gave me a great tip on my Toes To Bar which will help me forever. And then after I left, I forgot my tie at the box and Rob, the owner, sent it back to me right away via usps. This is a classy place with awesome coaches and responsible ownership.

I joined Crossfit Rockland about 4 years ago after a lifetime of running. I was also working out at another local gym and with other trainers. I hadn't experienced Crossfit anywhere previously, and was immediately attracted to CFR's rigor and attention to coaching and form, especially with heavier lifting, with which I was wholly unfamiliar (and I was, frankly, intimidated)...now I look forward to barbell days!
Since joining CFR, I have visited other Crossfit locations around the country as I travel on business. Some of these are fine, some not so much, but CFR is consistently at the highest level of the 20 or so locations I've dropped into.
If you're a Crossfitter traveling in the area, drop in. If you live in the area and are looking for a vigorous and challenging workout, I can't think of a better place to try.
Aside from the workouts, CFR has got a terrific and approachable community of members. We've become friends and that fact makes it easier to show up day after day. We have very skilled athletes and brand new beginners; we have young athletes and, um, more mature athletes like me. There is a comfortable spot for all. You've got nothing to lose and lots to gain.

I started at Crossfit Rockland a little over 2 years ago. From day one I was hooked. The uplifting atmosphere of the coaches and fellow Crossfitters is great. crossfit rockland is truly the best crossfit gym around. i have tried the other local crossfit gyms and they really don't compare. definitely check out crossfit rockland. Rob, the owner, really knows what he is doing. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to health, fitness, and how to train properly. Julie, the manager and head coach, is the best trainer I have ever met. She makes the whole crossfit experience incredible. They are definitely the reason I am still a member after almost 4 years!

I Joined CFR about 5 months ago and my experience there has been incredible. I can't say enough good things about Rob, Jules, Debbie, Eddie, and Johnny. They know how to pull your best self out of you so each day you are improving and getting stronger. As basically a life long gym go-er, I can say that I will never return to a traditional gym setting. CFR takes the guess work out of your workout and you will never get bored. And the added benefit is that Crossfit is true community and family. Your fellow CFR members are there to support you throughout your WODs and you will make great friends with the same interests in health and wellness as you have.
I will also add that I recently got hurt outside of CFR and Rob consistently checked in to see how I was doing. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. I challenge you to find a traditional gym owner that would even know you were hurt, let alone check up on your recovery progress.
Basically, if you are looking for a place to push yourself, transform your body, and have fun doing it- CFR is it!!

I have been working out here for just under a year now and will recommend this specific gym to anyone and everyone! The trainers are second to none. Everyone across the board gets the necessary attention to both make sure you are safe and progressing at an optimal level.
Once you are involved here, I can promise you wont want to leave. The atmosphere in this gym is one of pure community and everyone, including the athletes (which you will become) have the desire to help/support those in need.
We have raised money together for numerous charities and foundations. Welcomed new members to the CFR family (babies), and celebrated the arrival/departure of our college level members among many other things.
