I have been attending classes and facilitating sound and Reiki training with Daya for approx 7 or 8 years now. The owner is a wonderful human being and a shining light. The space she has created for all the share is pure open heart and mind. Come give the studio a try and notice how you feel.

I can’t imagine a better place for teacher training. The teachers create a truly magical atmosphere - it’s a beautiful, heart-led journey they guide you through. They offer not only their deep knowledge, but their genuine care and presence. Even after graduation, I felt so supported by Anna and the other instructors. It truly feels like a second home

I've been practicing yoga for a little over a year and it all started at Daya yoga. Of course, I was a little afraid of embarrassing myself but the instructors are kind and each class feels very therapeutic.

Instead of asking students to do something difficult then mention modifications for student who can't following the more experienced people, most instructors start with the baseline pose/movement then challenge students to take it to the next level with more advanced modifications. That was really helpful to me because it was less demoralizing and more motivating to challenge/push myself to the next level than retreating from a more advanced pose that feels out of reach.

Additionally, I feel healthier mentally and physically. I have better awareness of my body and breath.

Let's start with the fact that the yoga instructors are not properly trained. I attended one trial class in which the yoga teacher made repeated mistakes about anatomy. Additionally she was not able to do most of the stretches that she was teaching losing her balance multiple times during the workout. The conversation that she had with Yogi's and her co-workers after the session was very unprofessional and weird. She solicited information about whether the yogis who took the class were angry with her stating that their faces looked angry during the yoga workout. Her co-worker responded by saying that she did a great job by making her Yogi's angry with a challenging workout. I had still considered attending a second class to see if maybe it was an off day until I attempted to pay with cash After a failed venmo attempt. When paying the $10 price for the trial class they were unable to provide me with $10 change. I am extremely confused how you could be running a business with not even $10 worth of change for paying clients. They attempted to give me more than $5 in quarters (and were still short on quarters) until I had to suggest that they borrow money from one of the instructors. Unfortunately, when I arrived home I realized that the venmo had indeed gone through and I had paid twice. Their telephone number listed on Google does not work so I sent an email to which I received a response that I should send a screenshot despite the venmo activity being readily available on the venmo app. After sending the screenshot it's been a week and I still have not received my refund for my overpayment nor an apology for the horrible experience I had. If you are an experienced Yogi I highly suggest you skip this practice all together as they don't know what they're doing. I'm not sure where all of the other stellar reviews are coming from- perhaps the other teachers are better at their practice or this one may have just been drunk last Sunday. What a waste of my time and money. Good luck.

An absolute gem in the neighborhood! Daya offers the perfect balance of physicality, spirituality and community. I got a summer promo when they first opened and have been going consistently since. Many of the teachers are trained in various modalities including TCM- particularly cupping. The Sunday night Yin Yang Cupping with Kaleb truly feels like a ritual. His training in massage/ bodywork is evident in his adjustments and his intuitive yet precise placement of the cups. Too many amazing teachers to shout them all out, but there is truly a class for everyone!

A true gem of a yoga studio. I have been practicing with Daya for 6 years. The teachers, vibe, decor, and community are so special. A pillar of the community offering high quality yoga, movement, singing, meditation, and other creative classes. The teachers show a high level of care and expertise. Tuesday 7:30pm yoga and cupping is not to be missed. There is a lovely small curated shop in the foyer with vintage clothes and local crafts. I feel so lucky to have Daya in the neighborhood.

Daya (any location!) is more than a space to do yoga- over the past 6 years it has been a second home for me, a loving community and a place to return to the self !
I love the way things flow here, and every teacher has a unique experience to offer in their wide range of classes and events. I recommend this place if you’re simply just looking for yoga, or if you’re looking to more deeply expand your heart<3

Took an incredibly terrible class here. Not sure if other classes and instructors are this negligent but I’m not interested in finding out. Will not be going back

What a great vibe! I found my yoga sanctuary. Daya Yoga offers a wide range of different styles of yoga. I leave every class feeling so good. I really appreciate how classes are so informative and challenging. There is constant reminder of the philosophy behind yoga. It’s not just about the movement. This space is great if you’re ready to dive deep into your practice of yoga and meditation. There is a lot of creativity and meaningful art in every corner and some neat useful things you can buy!
Thank you so much Anna for creating Daya Yoga & for all that you share!

I visited Daya’s newest location in Ridgewood for a donation based cupping session. It was a truly transformative experience in a warm, positive and embracing space. Anna is deeply connected to her work and it transcends the space and passes through all visitors. If you are in the area, please stop by. You won’t regret it.
