Draper Center is Western New York’s premier dance academy. Come see why we’re considered one of the most distinguished dance training & ballet schools in the United States. Located in Monroe County, we are the official training school for Rochester City Ballet, Rochester’s premier professional ballet company. We offer a wide variety of educational dance programs including kid’s dance classes & adult dance classes. The school prides itself on providing the highest level of classical ballet and dance training while adhering to a curriculum that teaches formation of character and stresses standards of excellence applicable to all areas of life.

We switched our 8-year-old daughter to Draper Center for Dance Education at the beginning of the year, and the transformation in her technique and confidence has been nothing short of incredible. Her teachers are the perfect balance of disciplined and kind—so knowledgeable, supportive, and truly amazing at what they do. The level of instruction and focus on both proper form and performance is unmatched. It’s clear that Draper is not only the best dance school in the Rochester area, but possibly beyond. The progress she’s made in such a short time has blown us away, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to grow here. We have also had an amazingly welcoming experience from the other dancers as well as parents! We’re so thankful to have found this incredible school!

My daughter has been a student there for two years now and has grown so much! The teachers are very knowledgeable, insightful, and attentive. Students have many opportunities to grow and perform throughout the year. We’ve enjoyed the new space housed in the JCC and look forward to many years at Draper!

Boy this was my first time seeing my granddaughter at ballet.. she just started, it is amazing what the instructor has accomplished in 10 months. So looking forward to her recital. Sorry you are not allowed to take pictures in class.

We signed up our little ones and kids enjoy it, staff, teachers are very courteous and friendly noticed that other students, all very respectful towards each other. Really glad to find this place to give my kids more professional start.

I WIISH....I could put a MILLION STARS!!!! DO YOU HEAR ME...my daughter has been here for 2 years and when i tell you they treat her...ME...ALL THE PARENTS like they are family. They care about everything EVERYTHING the safeness the well being of the child the different culturea and parents....listen if you thought about it....please...do it

Not only is this the main origin of professional ballet dancers in Rochester, it also offers very approachable and affordable classes for beginners. The studios are well maintained and the teachers are professional and really understand how to both dance beautifully and ensure that your form is safe for your body.

The Timothy M Draper Center for Dance Education is amazing place to dance because I dance there so take my word for it. Draper is the feeder school so if you do go threw all the way to the end of Draper's level you might be asked to be in the Rochester City Ballet. I hope that someday I'll get into that. As a paid professional.
