This place used to be a 5 and it has gone down in the last couple of years. I’d rate it lower than 4 except that there’s a great manager? there now. If they know what they’re doing Rena will just be the general manager.

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Equinox. Went for a spa treatment and was thoroughly dissatisfied with the service. Paid $300 for what turned out to be subpar treatment—completely unacceptable for a place that markets itself as premium. This was a waste of time and money. Please avoid falling victim to poor quality service when you can get better treatment at less than half the price somewhere else.
There is a reason the place is rated so low.

After being a member for a while, this may be the last straw. They lost my gym bag and I have yet to receive an apology or any way of rectifying the situation. The fact that I have had to overlook things like not using their laundry service after having multiple items be destroyed, needing to bring in toiletries since their hair care products are horrible, when the membership costs over $600 is sad. Be cautious of what items you leave in their care.

I'm happy that I've finally found a place that takes care of all my needs.
The world-class fitness equipment is always available.
The personal trainers are absolutely top-level, making it feel like minimal effort generates the best results.
My favorite part is the group classes, which I often call “private coaching sessions”
Since most of the time, there are only 1-3 people.
The trainer gives each individual so much attention that it feels like a personal coaching session to me.
I also enjoy the lounge area a lot. The background music is just perfect for relaxation, reading, and thinking.
The automatic coffee maker offers 5 different types of coffee all day long, alone with 4 varieties of milk in the fridge to enhance the flavor. It has completely replaced my Starbucks coffee on my gym days.
All the members here carry such warm, generous smiles that they often brighten my day.
The lovely managers, Rebecca Grande and Rachel Sather, have been very helpful in every way.
Sometimes even I made a mistake they would let me know it was never considered my fault.
They made me feel I am at home here.
The service is so caring. Everyone who works here with an eager passion to help.
I've never washed my gym clothes again since I joined. They launder them for me and fold them nicely before returning back to me.
It touched my heart every time when someone waited outside the class to give us cool towels right after one tough cardio session.
And so much more...
I love this place!

My experience with E has been quite different from some of the other reviews I see here. I've only been a member for a few weeks now but so far the quality of the personnel and physical space has been excellent. I joined due to my dissatisfaction with the gym in my building and was looking for a place extremely conveniently located. I wasn't looking for all the extras that were offered but now that I am utilizing the club I am really impressed with it all. Great staff, great services and great facilities.

This club and everyone who works there have changed my life for the better since I stumbled upon it in February 2023. I admittedly did not even know what "E by Equinox" was after having been an Equinox member for about five years before upgrading to the E club.
The moment I met Karu (the Sales Manager) and Eduardo (the Membership Advisor), I felt compelled to upgrade my membership and pair up with a Coach X-level trainer.
Fast forward approximately 18 months later, I am ~90 pounds down, stronger, happier, healthier, more confident, and have a brand-new lease on life with the support of some of the most incredible people on earth right by my side from the E club.
First and foremost, the General Manager Rebecca has pushed me forward every step of the way. She checks in when I suddenly go days without visiting the club. She provides guidance any day I need it. She picks up on trends with my workouts and makes her own recommendations with knowledge from her professional bodybuilding days. During E-specific events, she happily and proudly introduces me to other fellow members and takes so much pride in my journey and I am forever grateful for it!
Second, my trainer Kevin Edwards is second-to-none. Brilliant, supportive, and unforgiving, Kevin was basically a full-time nutrition and fitness coach for me instead of just a personal trainer for one hour a week. I've had three trainers in my six years with Equinox so far, but only really made progress with Kevin.
Third, whenever my actual trainer was not there, every single trainer at the club stepped in to say hi whenever I was on the workout floor on my own, offering to spot me, assist with form, or just work out together if they were not in session and I needed any support. They are all INCREDIBLE. Some absolute standouts are Nicholas Kotsakis, Brandon Alberghini, Jack Willis, Jason Quinn, Evan Velez, and Edwin Wealth.
These folks convinced me that I am allowed to want happiness and success. This new confidence helped me to leave an immensely toxic work environment and start my own law firm. Oddly enough, this confidence is the reason I had to cancel my membership--solo practitioners with no clients cannot exactly pay for an E membership--but I cannot wait to "make it" and be able to come back to the club and continue achieving all types of success with everyone there!
The other members that I have had the privilege of meeting have been mostly fantastic, too! Save, of course, for the ones who think that an E membership entitles them to never have to deal very minor things like hot water being down once in the lifetime of my membership so far. Some folks tend to think that their money earns them the right to have their feet worshipped when they walk in. I couldn't care less about them--those types of people exist everywhere and are few and far between at E--but they of course are the ones most likely to leave undeserved reviews.
Oh, the amenities are stellar. Locker room floors are heated, lockers are high-end, showers are immensely spacious (think double or triple the size of your regular Equinox club), the essentials are always stocked (e.g., floss, mouthwash, hair combs, toothbrushes, charging ports in the lockers, an impeccably clean club, and more).
I owe this club and its employees my life. I'll forever be grateful and have so much knowledge in my toolkit now as I work through the latter half of my health and wellness journey.

This is my first Google review, but I feel like E Madison deserves it. After three years of being a member here, I decided to downgrade my membership to a "regular" EQX because the decline in services and facilities was unbecoming of a place that charges 600$+ a month. The abhorrent attitude of the GM and complete lack of pride in ensuring clean, functioning facilities became intolerable. E Madison has the potential to be something really special. Unfortunately, that is not being realized.

The General Manager has approved third-party art curation for groups, despite a meditation class being in progress right next to it. Eight artworks lined up right next to each other in a very compact space. The curation and interaction with its group members continued one after another. The loud noises significantly disrupted the class held as close as 17 inches —yes, seventeen inches—from these artworks, separated only by the studio's glass door. It wasted our time and effort attending the completely disrupted class. This Insanity has been repeated on multiple days and is outrageous!

I didn't know that this location was not included in the destination membership and got the NASTIEST attitude from the woman at the front desk.

better than the other equinox establishments but not that different. lights are very bright everywhere. most of the trainers are older and somewhat out of shape. My biggest peeve is that the locker attendants often work out in the gym which is just very awkward. other than that the place is clean and not too many people which is nice.

This is not a typical Equinox to show up to and expect access. It’s a private club for those looking for an elevated experience and bespoke service aside from the already high-end experience of any EQX. If destination members had access this place, it would lose its uniqueness and would not be an E club. I’ve never seen an ad about this place which makes it special. The team here is amazing and always provides white glove service. I missed a yoga class and the team set up my yoga mat, props, and towels while I changed. Definitely an experience in itself.

I am overwhelmed by crowded gyms, and if I am going to make the effort to improve my health and physique I want guidance to do it right, and from the best in the field. I have found that random use of treadmills and equipment will produce change, though not necessarily balanced results. E has top tier trainers that listen and cut to the chase. The end result is efficiency in both time and focus to achieve the results I am looking for, and have time for the other important elements of holistic self care and the joy of living. The philosophy of the club supports, provides, and encourages the whole picture. The price is a worthwhile luxury because it produces invaluable results.

i received a flier inviting me to see this new Equinox
When I arrived at 8pm i could not enter because the manager had left and without upgrade the doorwoman could not let me in
The flyer did not say anything about having to 'elevate' the subscription or come at certain times to explore a new location for Equinox
from the windows outside is the place looked empty like a cemetery at night
good luck!
