You us to be my favorite gym. 08-25-25 at 11.40 am I cancel gym membership. Couple us had complain for one lady on phone occupied the press and she did not wanted move she was over 45 minutes on phone. When we ask her to move on, she start screaming that's we doing harassment. She did to us harasment.She is working from phone and she shouldn't be in gym. After one Latin trainer come and told us if we don't like how they run fitness we can go to customer service and cancel membership. This radicilus. We paying for gym and quality have all rights to use press too. I left gym and I cancel membership. I dont want waith half day to use thats press . She was screaming on us i never saw crazy lady in my life. I walk away idid not wanted interfere. The guy who ask her nice and polite 3 times in different time she answer to him she is doing excise. One minute excise and 44 minutes on phone .and the trainer told us if we do t like we can cancel membership. He forgot if everyone leave the gym he is going loose job. This radicilus. I am going complain to BBB.

Overall wonderful experience. Went for a day pass without any issues. Very friendly staff. Slightly worrisome that when i got there therr was a lady who was there twice because she left something there to get fixed and they had misplaced it for an entire weekend without any concern of trying to find it. But overall great size gym. Two different entrances for members. Pool didnt seem too busy in the morning.

After 4 months here I can confidently say that this is a gym worth your time and money. Just got a bunch of new equipment, fairly sizable pool with lots of time to reserve a swim, classes for all ages and a wide variety of members.

I always see the trainers on the floor helping clients and other members. This feels like it could be a very tight knit community in the coming years.

I have been a member here for a little over 6 months now and I have never experienced a more incompetent and unprofessional staff in my life. They have no clue what their pricing is, they charge $55 for a pickleball membership and then tell you it’s 5am-9am which is insane. That or they charge $45 for an hour of court time, depending on who you ask it’s $20. The point being, that no one ever knows what the heck is going on. I was eventually able to find more concrete answers online but I shouldn’t have to. No one ever has any answers, if you ask questions they treat you like your a total inconvenience. It truly has potential to be a good gym but the staff and policy is so bad I can’t justify giving my money to a gym that treats its members this way. I spend a lot of time in the gym so its important to me to find a place that values its members, they have done a terrible job with customer retention from the looks of this review page. Also the showers and bathrooms are always gross. I asked if I could speak to a manager about these issues and was told I can’t talk to anyone. Literally stay away at all costs.

Happy I came across this gym while searching for swim lessons for my daughter. She did 5 classes during Spring Break last month and thoroughly enjoyed herself! It was great to see her progress throughout the week. Ms. Abby and Mr. Addison were so awesome, patient and kind, not just with my daughter, but while interacting with all the other children as well. I wish the swim/changing area could be larger, but it makes do. Looking forward to signing her up for future lessons!

Predatory business practices !!
They will lure you with a nice talk about how easy to cancel your membership, while in fact they will make you check a box in their iPad without giving you even a piece of paper to know what you are signing for.
If you are leaving town and want to cancel your membership, they will refuse and will threaten you by collection agency if you don’t pay their membership/ fees for a year.
It’s a hostile place I don’t recommend

1 star for lack of care of equipment.
Got a membership here mainly because they had a Jacobs ladder. The Jacobs Ladder is broken and will skip if you climb over a certain threshold. I even offered to tighten the chain for them because I knew they would never do it. They refused and said they’d put in a work order. 6 months later and here’s this broken Jacobs ladder still sitting in the middle of the gym convincing a whole new generation of zoomers that it’s a terrible time when really it’s not.

Private swimming lessons with adult "instructor" and 3-4-5 kids per lane during "lap swim" time, repeatedly and impinging upon verified reservations of those lanes by others. In 2020 Elevate changed the payment date for yearly life time members due to COVID. As a lifetime member i did not receive an invoice after that, Coincidently new management was also established during that time. Once i noticed that i did not receive an invoice i conversed with John Matus and was told that my membership expired due to non payment. Now i have been paying the yearly invoice for 20 plus years and i am confident if i had received an invoice i would have paid it. Shame on me for not keeping track but was i preoccupied with the whole COVID thing. I find it highly suspect that i did not receive an invoice during this time and wondering if this happened to any one else.

It's a good atmosphere, it always seems very busy but somehow there is always room and space for everyone. I've seen lots people with personal trainers who always seem like they ate having a good time and engaging well no matter what part of their fitness journey they are in. I have belonged to quite a few different gyms over the years, mostly due to not finding what I particularly need. Without name dropping there are gyms out there that have more treadmills/machines than free weights,kettlebells,ropes,sleds,the works. The real things that I need for a workout to be effective over time. Im not saying machines are all bad, as i utilize them on rare occasions. But gyms need to realize if they want members from a wide group,they have to cater to what each fitness type needs. With all that being said this is one of the better gyms I have belonged too. They have plenty of classes, personal training is amazing, they are always getting new equipment and their staff is very friendly and helpful. This is also the cleanest gym I’ve ever set foot In. Even while you are there you can see multiple people cleaning areas. My only issues are their personal training and semi personal training are very expensive for what you get. Also don’t expect to go between 430-630 and have a good a workout because the place is so jammed full of people it shouldn’t be allowed! Go at your own risk during that time!

They always say someone poured water , or something else up like a part is on order like its a space shuttle. Good spot for lifting weights. They also have a bar. It always has alcohol stocked. Place is going downhill fast in my opinion, I am a current member but already starting my search for a new gym. Everytime I have come as of recently the place smells like mildew, the sauna is my favorite aspect of the place but that's got a big hole in the side exposing air into it which is cooling it down and it's all stained and dirty in there, floors are always dirty and the wooden boards are literally coming apart. My number one complaint really is just that the cleanliness of this place and general maintenance is not up to par, so if you don't mind a place like that, then hey everything else is great otherwise!

My daughter received swimming lessons from Ivana. Ivana did a great job teaching my daughter not only how to swim, but to enjoy herself while in the pool.
Ivana showed great patience with teaching, and made the classes fun.
Would highly recommend Elevate Fitness. If you are interested in swimming lessons I highly recommend Ivana.

Two stars for the variety and overall well maintained equipment.

Three stars off for the staff and disorganization. 1. During the course of one visit it was clear communication is a huge issue because the front desk was completely in the dark about the promo and scheduled activities designed to draw in new members.
2. Trainers on the floor turned a blind eye to patrons abusing the equipment (slamming weight stacks on the cables, letting machines free fall) and doing dangerous workouts that were a liability suit waiting to happen (older patron in their 70s kneeling on top of a balance ball while doing cable tricep extensions).
3. Came to the front desk to troubleshoot the sign in and schedule app. No staff could be found for 15 minutes. Asked the bartender (a bar in a gym ... Yeah) and she couldn't find anyone. Gave up and left. No obvious security at the front desk, computers left unlocked, could have walked off with my choice of gear or personal info on their members.

My girlfriend was harassed by a member by the name of Dave, the trainer named John was the one to “handle” the situation and practically dismissed it because the two workers who were there when it happened no longer worked there. He called the harasser Dave “quirky” and said his hands are tied because he was a long time member. His money is clearly worth more than 2 other members. We won’t be returning and I recommend younger woman should steer clean of this establishment. I’ve watched this happen far more times than Id like to say. The Y is cheaper and just as good. Save your money and choose a more comfortable environment.

I used to be a member at the Liverpool location and was really happy with the cleanliness of that location, and the DeWitt location has yet to let me down in that dept as well. What I really want to commend this business for is its staff. Those folks are always there to answer any and all questions we may have. They're kind, courteous and down to earth and Always striking conversation. Moving back to Elevate was the best decision for myself and family.

I have never been a gym person, but after Covid I really needed to get in shape. I signed up for personal training at Elevate and was paired with Aaron. He has made a huge difference for me. Changed my contract due to covid. The reason I joined was so I can bring a guest and use the daycare. No more daycare fine. But now my guest has to pay $7.00 for every visit. All while I get 10 dollars off my original bill. Just not properly operated. They don't call and ask on how they will adjust it they say just say "oh well read the fine print." The gym itself is nice and I enjoyed going there, but I wanted to cancel my membership because I was moving out of state. The first time I called in to cancel it, they charged me the next month anyway. I called to see why I was charged and they said it was never canceled. I told them that I canceled my membership the month before and they told me it was never canceled. So I tried canceling it again on the phone, unsurprisingly I got billed again the next month and they once again told me it was never cancelled. This time I went into the gym to speak to someone in person to have it canceled. They seemed surprised that it didn’t go through and they canceled it while I was there. I thought the issue was resolved, but the next month I was once again billed. I had to call agin this time since I’m no longer in the state and they said I would need to speak to a manager. I never got any of my money back and this issue might not be resolved, I’ll have to see if I’m billed next month even though I canceled it.

I have been going here as my homebase for a couple years and this past week I found a new feature to love. Ms. Donna and AquaFit. besides that, the gym has done a magnificent job of stepping up the sanitizing of all areas which provides a real piece of mind and helps us to all feel safe. From the second I sent an email from their website inquiring about membership info, the staff at Elevate has been extremely friendly and helpful! Rachael was very helpful and eager to answer any and all questions I had. I’ve been out of the workout game for a while now and was also inquiring about a trainer. I used my 3 free sessions with Tim Bahia and then decided to keep coming back twice a week with him, as he has been so nice and is extremely great at his profession! I highly recommend this gym . All the instructors are amazing and very welcoming. This gym is the only gym that I know of in the area that has a run club with an outstanding coach. Kevin is top notch in my book. The run club is included in your membership. I don't think you could ask for much more than that . Even the members are very welcoming. My first class I took was group power with Patrick and one of the members came up to myself and my friend and introduced herself and helped us with equipment we needed . I've never felt so welcomed in any gym before joining this one. I can't say enough good things about this gym.

Staff is largely unhelpful - this became extremely evident when my wife attempted to cancel her membership (mind you she is 9 months pregnant and was on her lunch break) they instructed her that she would need to go to the Liverpool location because that is where she signed up. Beyond this instance equipment is frequently broken for weeks at a time even though they charge a surcharge every year or "maintenance". Their free-weight dumbbells only go up to 120 lbs. They removed the indoor track and consolidated space in an unusable way. I can go on and on but thankfully I am no longer a member.
