We are SO thrilled we found Elliott’s for our baby boy! We started attending classes right as our son turned 4 months old and immediately wished we’d found it sooner, as we loved it so much!
The instructor, Aria, and facilitator, Irandy, are so knowledgeable and kind. They remember us and take time to say hello and ask how we’re doing. They are always friendly and professional, patient as can be, and have a great sense of humor.
Since starting classes, we have seen exponential improvement in our son’s neck strength and mobility. He is working on rolling, and Aria has come over to help him in class before which felt attentive and personal — it is so nice to get that one-on-one time! Additionally, our son loves flexing his leg muscles and is eager to stand (despite not yet standing in Aria’s hand like the other babies 🤣 — he loves snuggling too much!)
I love that the class is consistent and doesn’t veer from a standard lesson plan each class. It makes it easier to communicate what to expect to family and friends who may take our son to class. I also love the social aspect of meeting other parents. Oh and it’s FREE for babies under 6 months! Cannot be beat.
It is just amazing to see what the babies can do at such a young age with the guidance of Aria and Irandy! I will be so sad to see our baby age out of class but I look forward to keeping him involved at Elliott’s Gym because of our great experiences.
Couldn’t recommend this enough!!!

This place is awesome! Coach Aria and the other ladies are wonderful with the kids! They make it fun as well as challenging. They are able to meet the kids at their level and the kids absolutely love them.

I would like to say this place is not fun nor safe space for my child. I came in for open play last week and not only was it dull my child caught an cold. It was cold and the toys were thrown on the floor where everyone walks with their feet and socks. Super unsanitary. I had to rush my baby to the doctors. Not only did I spend money on a place where it wasn’t enjoyable for my toddler but I spent more money on doctor visits and medication. I should’ve done my research before coming here.

Attended open play and loved all the activities for the children that the owner, Elliott, has implemented! What I loved the most was what seemed like just open play was in fact skills associated with safety and learning! You can see the passion Elliott has for this age group of kids and the amount of time he has spent to make sure the kids are having fun all the while learning! Can’t wait to attend full time!

The arrived and immediately he bombards me as the young females are assisting me. Let's keep in mind I am holding a new born baby. I've never in my life have I felt so harassed. I don't know if it's because I am a darker skinned woman but clearly it was my first time and there was another woman there asking questions and he did not bother to harass her. If I can recommend anywhere else it would be The Little Gym Upper Westside.

Such a brilliant class and UWS community at Elliott’s. I have been taking my son for over 2 years and he absolutely loves it. More recently I have taken my 2nd child to the (free) infant classes which were also excellent. Brilliant open space(s), great instructors, super clean and a fun vibe for the kids. Elliott is awesome and the kids LOVE him- friendly, fun, knowledgeable and super approachable. Lots of class options available plus open play access as part of your membership- making it great value.

Elliot Cortez is amazing! I have watched him wih my niece (who is 3.5) since she was a baby blossom physically, intellectually, and emotionally under his guidance! My husband asked me what made her such an awesome kid—as I spent almost every day with her when she was a baby, I quickly knew it was Elliot’s class. When we had our own little bundle, it was no question that we would bring our son to Elliot’s as well—he is a baby whisperer and just “gets” them. His sensitivity, kindness, and just overall awesomeness are not to be missed! My son loves attending his class (and so do I)

My daughter has been taking gym class at Elliott's since she was 6 months old, and continues to love it! She is now 2 years old and it's amazing to see how much she's grown. She's now kicking on the balance beam (trying to be a gymnast haha) and trying to "leap" like the teacher. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been attending Elliott’s classes since she was 2 months old. His free infant class saved me as a new mom (connects you with other moms and gets you out of the house - I travelled from Long Island City for this class)! It was actually Elliott that insisted I stopped swaddling early on as I came to him with concerns regarding her lack of basic physical development. She immediately progressed! Needless to say I thought he was a genius from that moment! As a stay home mom to a now 2 year old, I home school my child and she’s very intelligent but again I noticed her coordination a bit off. Since we don’t focus on physical activity at home I knew Elliott’s would help and just after a few classes I noticed her physical abilities improve significantly. I am so happy I found out about this place. I tell every parent I know about Elliott’s!

Mr. Elliott is a wonderful teacher, whose classes are engaging, inclusive, and thoughtfully structured. His background in both gymnastics and child development is clear.
The space includes a tumble track, a large padded floor, a balance beam, bar, and many different mats.
Their open play option for enrolled students is a great bonus!
