I received a promotion for a free month from Crystal for the rest of October (a few days) and the month of November but she only answered my follow up questions Oct 31 at 7:30pm EST and said the promotion ends in a few hours. But she only gave me the full info right before their deadline. She refused to honor the promotion for the month of November which was very disappointing to say the least. I spent the weekend waiting for her to get back to me but wasn't able to get a hold of her until their promo deadline passed.

I was surprised by this negative service overall.

Excelent gym for weight lifters. Great gym floor with the variety you need to get a great workout. Very friendly attentive and helpful staff. Few drawbacks to be aware of.

1) No pool, which is fine by me and my need
2) No infrared sauna but a steam room, as far as I know for the men's locker room
3) Poor, outdated Wi-Fi network with cellular dead zone on the weight room floor..

More on #3, yes I know how to put my phone down and to not hog equipment by wasting time on my phone, but it's not about that. On the weight room floor at the lowest level I'd have zero phone service. So eventually my music streaming on both my phones stopped working. AND often enough the wifi wouldn't work and my phones couldn't connect. The year is 2025 and they're still using outdated Wi-Fi 5 instead of Wi-Fi 6e at least. Inexcusable. I'm using both a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max and neither of them could connect as the gym got busy and more users showed up. So no music, and no fitness videos to follow along with a workout program I purchased since I couldn't stream video either.

Oh well. I made due without it. But sad to see a prestigious and luxury gym like Equinox fail at something as simple as having properly functioning Wi-Fi. Make the upgrade to Wi-Fi 6e folks. Come on now. It's 2025, not 2013..

Great location. I recommend it. Just be prepared for no internet access if you're going down to the bottom floor for a serious heavy lifting session.

I lost my sneakers and the management wouldn’t take any responsibility about it. They would blame you and tell you to keep them in lockers rather feeling ashamed about the incident and then charge $300/month for it. By far the worst gym experience I have ever had in my life. The General Manager was very non responsive and highly incompetent.

Unforgettable Experience at Equinox Bryant Park
I recently had the opportunity to visit Equinox Bryant Park for the first time, and I was thoroughly impressed from the moment I walked in. The front desk team was welcoming, professional, and made me feel instantly at ease. Every staff member I interacted with radiated positivity and pride in their work, creating a truly elevated and inclusive atmosphere.

A special shoutout to Coach Daniela Romero, who made my visit unforgettable. Even in just one session, Daniela demonstrated the perfect blend of knowledge, encouragement, and attentiveness. Her approach was personalized and empowering—she took the time to guide me through each movement with precision and care, all while keeping the energy high and the vibe inspiring.

The facility itself is stunning—immaculate, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could need for a top-tier workout. But it’s the people that make it exceptional.

Equinox Bryant Park isn’t just a gym—it’s a full experience. I left feeling stronger, more energized, and already looking forward to coming back.

My trainer in this club - Antonio Vidal is the hero in my fitness journey! I used to dread the gym, quit group classes early and never increase the pull down weight (for the last 2+ years). But Antonio completely changed that, and now only after 3 months, for the first time I'm seeing the shape of my triceps and abs. And we are still pushing to break new records every week or so! Kudos to the coach team and love my experience here!

Equinox is hands down the best gym I’ve ever been a part of. The group classes and yoga sessions are excellent! The instructors really know how to motivate and guide you through an incredible workout without being aggressive.

The equipment is state-of-the-art and always in great condition, which makes working out feel seamless and efficient. One thing I truly appreciate is how clean and well-maintained everything is from the locker rooms to the workout areas, it’s always spotless. It’s clear that the staff takes pride in creating a high-end, welcoming environment. The front desk staff is always so kind. I also love that no one bothers you while you’re working out. Other gyms there are personal trainers that come up to you while you’re working out and ask if you are interested in personal training and they’re extremely pushy but not here.

If you’re serious about your fitness and want to be inspired every time you walk in, Equinox is absolutely worth it.

Nice space, got to try out the robot massage and thought that was pretty cool! Fun and interesting experience :)

When you first walk in, the reception will give you a set of changing clothes/outfit to switch to. Walk one floor down and the robot massage room is at the end next to the women’s changing room.

Once you’re settled, there’s a screen where you can control the pressure of the massage. You get a cool body scan at the beginning and you can see on the screen which area it’s working on throughout the session but you can’t see what’s actually happening so that was a little interesting.

The robot will auto pause if you go out of position will tell you to move back. I like how the pressure is adjustable and you can add pressure as needed or if it’s too heavy press less weight. Personally I still prefer a massage done by a person, the machine is definitely missing that human touch. And it does take a little while to figure out how things work. Still fun to try it and feels pretty convenient.

Equinox is such an amazing gym, super clean, friendly staff, has all the equipment I need to keep me in tip top shape. Yes I’m leaving a review for this but most important, I’m leaving a review for Mr Harish Palam the representative who has signed me up to the gym. Without him I wouldn’t have been a member here, he is extremely respectful, kind, informative and understanding. He has gave me a full tour of the club, answered all questions and concerns and as well was respectful and patient throughout the process. He has also stayed in touch after signing me up, which is rare, and made share all my needs are tended to. I give equinox a 5/5 stars but if google allows id give Harish a 10/5 stars!

I didn’t know it was a luxury gym. I just know I needed to exercise n all my friends love it. The location was convenient, I got a guest pass n was hooked. I come during lunch break for a group fitness class. They are all amazing.

My body deserves a little luxury!

I love the little touches in the locker room like the elastic pony tail holder! How many times have you forgotten it n need to put yr hair up during a workout?
Im looking forward to my bikini body in the summer!
Dre, my sales rep was informative, super friendly and gave me a great tour of the gym before I joined. I love the Equinox ap, keeps tracks of my progress.

I see others reviewers complaining about the contract! It’s written in black n white! People, read before you sign! Don’t read, then don’t complain you didn’t know!

Worst location I’ve ever been to (I have the all access) and have for years… I’ve been at the gym for 20 minutes so far and right when sitting down at a machine I’ve had two different trainers come over and ask me if they could use it for their clients - this is absolutely ridiculous!! Teach your trainers to respect ALL members; not just ones that have training sessions please.

It’s unbelievable that they won’t let me cancel after completing 12 personal training sessions. Be aware that you’ll HAVE TO KEEP PAYING $300 monthly, no matter what. I’m still being charged every month, and customer service has been unhelpful. I’m extremely disappointed because I made it clear that I only wanted to try their personal training service and wasn’t sure about committing. However, I wasn’t informed that I’d be locked into a commitment even after finishing the sessions. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY. Just double check everything before you start.

Having been a member for over 2 years, the service at Equinox has continued to decline. At first I enjoyed the classes, but the quality of instructors have gone down. Don’t bother contacting their concierge if you’re going on vacation or try to cancel your membership. They will take weeks to reply and by then they’ve already charged you your membership. Don’t go to Equinox for their name brand, it’s not worth it.

!!BEWARE OF LOCKER ROOM THIEFS!!

I had my sneakers stolen while I was in the shower. After bringing this matter to management ‘s attention, they basically shrugged their shoulders and made sure to blame me for believing I was in a safe zone where people I didn’t have to look over my shoulder worried someone would steal used running sneakers.

For $300/month, surely you would imagine some accommodation, reassurance this won’t happen to other members or general responsibility would be the case.

Tough day for a “luxury” gym

Fraud Alert!

The salesman at Equinox Bryant Park said I could "cancel anytime, but we usually ask people to wait 5 or 6 months."

I waited 6 months. But when I tried to quit I discovered: The salesman lied.

Buried in the small print of a 15-page (!) contract is clause requiring a 12-month contract. When I raised the issue with the gym's managers, they sided with the lying salesman, let him keep his commission, and defrauded me $1,500.

That's fraud.

Equinox Bryant Park stole $1,500.

The gym itself is nice enough. Good equipment, clean showers, good location (though it is deep in a windowless basement). But $300 a month is a lot, especially for a place where the people in charge lie and steal your money.

I cancelled my membership bc of the horrendous customer service here by the GM Rafina, who refused to extend the expiration date of ONE PT session by a week when my trainer and I could not find a time to meet before it expired. I understand policy, but you would think after paying $6k for training sessions and over $300/month for membership the staff would be trained on how to provide white glove service and use common sense. I get that equinox as a company may be struggling financially and want to stick to policy etc, but I seriously doubt that the $100 cost of my one training session and allowing me to use it ONE WEEK past the expiration date would significantly impact their bottom line. There are PLENTY of other gyms for cheaper that provide SIGNIFICANTLY better customer service.

I personally really enjoyed this location.. not sure what's up with all the negative reviews. I found everyone who worked here to be very kind and it is a very quiet Equinox. Yes it's underground and kind of dark but because of this I find it to be very cozy. Also since this is mainly an office are of the city and less residential there is less of a community aspect but that didn't bother me, I was just there to study and workout. Also the women locker rooms are great, the steam room is huge and great showers with stools. Also the vanities have a seat as well so you can sit down while doing your hair and makeup. This location is very convenient for me and I will be going here more often. 😊

Scam!
The salesman for Equinox Bryant Park said I could cancel my membership at any time. But when I found a better gym, the assistant manager at Equinox refused to cancel my account, citing fine print in the 14-page (!) contract that I can't quit without proving I've moved more than 25 miles away.
Due to the salesman's lie, and the company's deceptive business practices, Equinox Bryant Park will defraud me of $2,000.

After years of struggling with my physical fitness, motivation, self acountability and feeling somewhat insecure about my body, personal trainer Antonio Vidal has helped me achieve the best shape of my life just in time for my Europe vacation in August.

Initially, since I am still somewhat young, I was apprehensive about whether hiring a personal trainer would be the best idea, but Antonio's unwavering support, guidance, and infectious enthusiasm quickly erased all my doubts.
Antonio is so much more than a regular personal trainer. His extensive knowledge, carefully curated workout plans and genuine care for me consistently exceeded my expectations.
When I first started working with Antonio, I was merely hoping to lose some bodyfat and build some muscle. However, his unmatched coaching skills not only helped me surpass my initial goals but also led me to rediscover the joy and thrill of engaging in that sport. Thanks to Antonio, I now have a re-found passion for the sport that has significantly improved the quality of my life.
Furthermore, the passion, motivation, and determination that Antonio has instilled in me continue to grow and fuel my love and dedication to fitness, even when I'm not training with him. The results I've experienced under Antonio's guidance are not just temporary changes but a permanent shift in my mindset and determination to maintain and continue my fitness journey.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a personal trainer who will transform not only your body but your whole outlook on health and fitness, look no further than the remarkable Antonio Vidal. He is truly a one-of-a-kind professional who can guide you to unleashing your true potential and rediscovering your love for sports while achieving the best shape of your life. I am forever grateful for the lasting impact he has made on my journey to better health and overall wellness.

Thank you Antonio and Equinox!

This location is pretty nice with individual primp stations in the women's locker room and decently friendly staff. They should allow reviews for Equinox overall though, but for anyone debating joining, the gym brand is good for influencers and those who want to be seen, wealthy elitists, and type A personalities. While I'm none of those things, I like safety, quality, convenience, and cleanliness so this is a start until I find more affordable and accessible options that hit the mark.

It's in a super accessible location which is a huge bonus. It's really spacious compared to all the gyms I've been to in the city. Friendly and attentive staff, relatively spacious floor (for a Manhattan Equinox), great cycling and Pilates studios. Probably the best of the Midtown EQs. Spacious locker room by any standard.

What prevents me from giving Bryant Park five stars is 1) it’s below ground, so no natural light—but good use of plants and warm lighting allows you forget that, and 2) the juice bar is a Juice Press (which has been squeezing out better juice/food options at older EQs) and not a very good even by JP standards. All they have is low protein ready-made 😖

I decided to try a different Equinox tonight as I wanted to walk around a bit rather than go to the location near my apartment. I walked into the gym at 9:04, they close at 10 on Fridays, and as soon as I step in the door the front desk employee rudely exclaims to me “We’re closed. We closed early tonight.” With absolutely no reason for why they are closing an hour early or even apology for the inconvenience. Simply saying “sorry” before her very curt statement of we’re closed would have made the whole situation a lot better. I will not be back to this location.

I was an Equinox member for over five years. I've used ~20 different clubs all over the city at different points. I'm leaving my review at the Bryant Park location because it's the one I used the most in the recent past, but this review applies to Equinox overall.

First, specifics about the club:

1) It's in the basement, so if you want views / natural light while you're working out, this isn't the club for you

2) The facilities are nice and modern compared to many Equinox branches, though not as fresh as some of the newest locations (Dumbo). Still, it was always one of my favorite clubs to work out in.

3) It is a nightmare at peak hours, at least in the ladies locker rooms -- think long lines for showers and hair dryers. After 9am, or if you can sneak your lunch workout in a little early (or late, just avoiding the showers right around 1pm) you're better off.

The reason for my low star review is how disappointed I am in Equinox's cancellation policy. As someone who was a member for over five years, I should easily be able to cancel my membership; I've given this place enough money. Instead, when I went to cancel I was told cancellations don't become effective for 45 days, information that is not available on their website or in their FAQs. (I also then found out I could have cancelled in the app / over the phone, even though everything on the website says you have to cancel in person.) I have moved out of the city and have not used the gym since moving because I can't fit it in around my commute. All Equinox is doing is nickel and diming me at the tail end of my membership, which feels like a terrible way to treat a loyal customer. I have a sour taste in my mouth over what should have been an overall positive experience.

Most over crowded gym I have ever been to. Personal trainers hog all of the equipment.

Amazing classes with top notch instructors. All the employees are great, front desk is always so kind and accommodating, the manager Nick is the best and always makes himself available for questions/concerns. Such a great break to come down and unwind in the middle of your day. Well worth it!

Not my normal equinox and my bf zachary justus just had a dreadful experience here with the management. He was doing a superset of push ups and bar pull downs - was doing his push ups when someone tapped me on the shoulder to ask if they could work in - He said yes but asked if they would mind not tapping me mid push up and woah they did not like that. She actually said 'you've told that to the wrong person I'm a manger here. You can leave!' Clearly taken aback by this vitriolic over reaction told her he wasn't and want to talk to the GM. This other manager said fine but she was coming in the room with. Walked him like a bad boy up to the principals office and would not leave until asked to do so by her supervisor. After describing the scenario the GM said that He was wrong - Bryant park is a particularly busy gym and people had to act as community members here. I grew up with siblings and I know how to share. I also know you don't touch someone without their express consent even if you're in a hurry to use a pull down bar. I also don't understand why if the gym is that frantically busy there is not a policy asking staff to not work out during peak hours. Or hey why doesn't staff be nice and amenable to customers paying quite high membership fees. Or hey why not use some delicate customer service techniques when interacting with your membership base instead of acting territorially.

This location is always too crowded. 7am on a Tuesday and not a SINGLE locker available in the men’s locker room?! Done even trying to come here.

Not the best gym for weightlifting: only 3 power racks, and they generally close at 9. They also treat you like meat, not humans: I was charged 45 days in advance for canceling. I know this is in the contract, but the point is that they don't care about you. They also charge $50/guest. Go to the nearby NYSC gym instead, I hear much better things about it.

Expensive but so good for me! Like this gym a lot. Showers clean most of the time. Steam room great. A lot of deferent classes, I wish there is something more boxing options. Equipment always there, no like the others gym that you have to look for parts because someone misplace it. Personal training very expensive but fun & they teach you a lot.
I can recommend. 👍

This gym is far too crowded. It's impossible to have a decent work-out unless you go at lunch-times (but even then it can be very busy). The membership fee is far too high for what you get. My advice - shop around for nearby alternatives (e.g. NY Sports Club etc).

Great yoga class. I really liked how the teacher encouraged people to get the toxins out. I love the eucalyptus towels. It's always a great shower with nice soaps and shampoos. Nice facility and employees.

Aside from the stellar facility and amenities, the staff here is so great.

I recently left behind a make up bag in the morning and, when I came back to see if I could retrieve it in the evening after work, the staff on hand said they did not have or see it. They then mentioned that they would relay the information after I filled out a report.

The next day I received a call that was just as excited as I was to hear that they had found my bag and under what circumstances they were unable to find it the day before. Love this place and the people!
