TLDR: only 3 stars because the advisors were not accommodating but I would give 5 stars to the front desk.
I am moving next door to this equinox soon and was hoping someone could give me a quick tour of the place as I heard this was a larger equinox. Jeffrey, at the front desk, was trying to call advisors to see if any of them were free to give me a quick tour to which they declined which was upsetting as I had travelled all the way downtown to check out the area. However, Jeffrey was kind enough to give me a thorough run down of the gym. I was so excited to see this gym included a jacuzzi and sauna as other all access pass gyms do not have these amenities. Jeffrey’s customer service and kindness reminded me of why I chose to gym with Equinox and hope other staff members can learn from his actions. Thank you and I look forward to coming more often soon!

The Juice Bar got shut down by NYC Health Dept!! there is seemingly always a problem here, and prices keep going up! Jacuzzi out of service once per month. They “ran out of towels” in May 2025. No hot water in July. Lots of minor flaws that add up over time. New staff as of 2025 has been meh. Select veteran staff, like Justin, are great.

Solid location has what you need and locker rooms are nice. The whirlpool and dry sauna are the reason I come here. Nice amenities that most of the NYC locations don’t provide unfortunately.
Heads up this location closes pretty early even by EQX standards (which are already in the early side IMO)

Not satisfied with the manager’s services. Downgraded for next month and they made a mistake on my bar code so I lost my access to destination & HY for the rest of the month that I paid for. Went to HY, got stopped, and had to talk to a manager to let me in.
Next few days talked to Shannon, she claimed that I don’t have access to destination & HY even I’ve paid for the month and refused to look into this further for me. Had to individually talkto destination clubs and HY club managers to have them let me in.
She’s not familiar with her work, inconsistent in explaining membership tiers upgrade & downgrade, and has low work ethic

I had a bad time with a man who harassed me and followed me down the street and entered the gym, I wasn't working out at the time and I didn't have any gym clothes on, he just followed me and entered. I told the gym staff about it and they didn't want to help me or do anything because the man was also a member. I pay for a membership to feel "safe" as a woman when working out and that's not the case, equinox doesn't make us women feel safe.

Worst experience ever. I was a member at a long island location for 10 years. Never had an issue. I attempted to use the steam room and was told to get out by an employee so they could clean. I asked for 5 minutes, and he refused. I complained and asked to speak to a manger, and he simply continued to turn of the steam room. Then I spoke to the manager who did nothing and simply told me that was the schedule? What kind of club, charging this kind of money, treats members like this? Simply embarrassing. Stay away from this place. There much better gyms/clubs that actually care about their members in this area.

I had a free trial and will definitely not be paying for a membership based on my experience. I booked an equifit assessment and about an hour after it was confirmed they emailed me asking if I could do another date or time that week. When I said I wouldn't be able to they just canceled the appointment and blocked me from booking at another club. The person over email was rude and dismissive as well.

It's unfortunate that the colors of this flag have already faded. It's disappointing that Equinox charges a monthly membership fee of $500 and yet they don't have the funds to change the flag. Even TJmax has a new red logo flag! Despite that, this place is always crowded with people, both locals and tourists from all over the world. The flag fluttering in the wind perfectly conveys the bustling atmosphere of Wall Street, New York.

The boxing bags are extremely hard, like punching a brick wall. Obviously not safe for members but there is no sense of urgency from the staff to replace them with something high quality and safe. Have asked several times for replacement and always get a generic “soon” reply with no timeline of progress. Complete joke.

Been a member since November - it’s a 5/5 gym when everything is up and running, but for over the past month, the hot tub has been out of order; and now, the cold plunge is out of order due to a health violation. Otherwise, staff is nice and the locker rooms stay fairly clean (could clean them more frequently, hair bundles up fast with women). Just really would like to use the cold and hot plunges (or have access to a different location that has both). I expect more from a club I’m paying $300 a month for.

Membership advisers will say whatever to get you to join and then not follow through. I even had the terms of my membership written in an email but turns out part of it “was a typo”.
Gym + personal trainers are nice, but it seems like management puts more emphasis on getting their trainers to be salespeople than actually training you.
Classes were underwhelming.

Not the best location but decent to say the least.
I don't know what it is but there's something about the indoors that make it seem like it's an older, less expensive gym. Maybe it's the lighting and the structure of the indoors. But other than that, the people at the front could also be a little bit friendlier. They didn't even acknowledge or smile or anything while i was coming in. Not that i'm important or anything but you would think that at least one person out of 3 would at least say hi or nod in acknowledgement or something when you're checking in to communicate that i'm indeed checked in instead of just talking to each other... But also, i was actually surprised that the towels weren't even semi-stocked in the locker rooms.
I will say though, it is bigger than i thought and the fact that it has a jacuzzi area as well, it was a pleasantly surprised.
But my overall experience was okay. Hence why i gave 3 stars.

Gym is great. Staff is great, facilities are great. Only thing that sucks about this place is the hours. It is in downtown NYC right across the stock market. However they close at 8 pm on Fridays and do not open until 9 AM on Saturdays and Sundays and close at 6PM? Atleast open earlier on weekends.

I went as a guest and I can say it’s not just a gym.
It is a full experience, a lot of machines and great classes.
There are fridges around the gym with cold towels (this is amazing).
In the bathrooms you have razors towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, etc.
They also have a jacuzzi and sauna.

One of the managers went out of her way to bar me from entering when I didn't have a phone to sign-in via app. She could have spent that energy finding a solution (like checking my ID), but chose to create a problem instead. This place is long overdue for an updated [2022] review—lots of reshuffling has taken place in the realm of personal trainers. If you are a fitness aficionado, you’ll likely appreciate the one-on-one training sess options this particular location has to offer.
With that being said, my most recent (and ultra-positive) experiences have been with Jay Jean Jacques and Christopher Potts [if you have a strong preference of working with a female trainer, be sure to ask for Kim Verderber or Abigail Reece (- _ o) ]. My intertwined experiences on the gym floor have led me to conclude that the training technique of these particular trainers is embedded with perfectionism, rigidity, and a deep desire to craft a gym routine catered to your specific and personal needs. Any exercise routine is far from being straightforward; all this is, of course, exhausting. And so, why not let professionals amplify your ‘nox experience? The general imperative of these personal trainers is obvious: help you achieve fitness results via an irresistible momentum. In their quest for perfection, your overall workout plan will integrate a logical routine outside of the gym that will support your desired fitness goals with a wicked velocity. Hope this review helps with your decision-making process (^ _ ^)

Amazing location! Surprise sauna/hot tub, well maintained machines, clean floors, friendly/knowledgeable staff... I'm sad I don't live closer!
More machines than the usual array, large and spacious strength floor(s) separated by a cool little bridge thingy, a fancy little upper level with even more machines... Love this Equinox!
Another thing about this place... super well lit! Strength floor has a wall of mirrors with a lot of light that's great for selfies lol 😂 (Wish I had taken a better picture but I didn't look at it before leaving lol)

I left feedback about the rubber grip on this equipment a year before COVID. You would think that they’ve had nothing but time on their hands to fix issues.
The bumper plates are kept on the ground floor with only one power rack and maybe one extra bar. There are only a handful of metric unit plates, not a full set of bumper plates, on the second floor where almost all of the strength equipment is located.

I was compelled to write a review to evaluate my most recent experience at EQX Wall Street. I had one of the best in-person training sessions with Isoken (Iso) Emokpae. She took the time to listen to my needs and adjusted the workout accordingly. It is rare to find a trainer who has the ability to pay that much attention to the minute details of one's needs. If you are looking for a trainer, I recommend trying her out.

This gym is where it’s at!! After a not-so-pleasing experience with the Columbus Circle location, I met Todd Butera- a representative at this equinox and got the tour of my life. I was basically throwing my money for a membership! The tour was interactive and really showed you why it was worth it to have such an expensive gym in your corner. From a steam room and jacuzzi to little towels that smell of heaven. This gym has it all. If you want to check it out, you totally can AND for Free! Ask for Todd Butera and tell him I sent you and you will wonder why you didn’t sign with this equinox before. It’s totally a life changer. What gyms have you gone to that don’t smell like death?

Be ready to deal with mean staff at the front desk. I needed to talk to an advisor about upgrading my membership and she decided to give me a lecture and tell me all the wrong pricing in order to just make me buy a day pass. After asking her three times if I could talk to an advisor, she finally decided to go (with a extremely bad attitude) and actually get someone to help me. But mind you, come anytime between 6pm and 8pm and chances you will be able to find spot / machine to workout are close to zero. This club has excellent amenities and great location. Gita was able to get me signed up and going right away and even was able to get me $100 in gift rewards. Now, management on the other hand, needs major work. Customer Service is not a top priority here, very poor customer service. If you are due rewards or gift cards be prepared to either not receive them or wait a long time to receive them. My account has been inactive (not due to lack of payment) for 3 weeks now and the only way I can use my rewards is if my account is active. So, management isn't taking this seriously and my account probably will never be reinstated. But they do let me use the gym while my account is being "worked on". I'm sorry but when you live and work near Wall St, you expect Wall St service.

Iono if all the staffs of Equinox is not accommodating ,but it's a horror to cancel your membership here. You have to almost pay them to get it cancelled and it's not easy as you are told when you first sign up with them. You are lucky if they do not continue to charge you and then come up with excuses to not refund you back the entire amount you have been overcharged. The manager won't do much to help you out either. He was horrible and just wasted my time. They also def dont have any considerations for their customers even in times of disasters such as Sandy. They claimed it was our responsibility to use the membership to our fullest extent by going to gyms available in other parts of the city when I couldn't even get to work during that period. Extremely poor customer service.

Generally, this is a good gym with good atmosphere.
But their team who is in charge of membership cancellation is VERY disappointing!!!
My annual membership ended in March 30, 2016. I called Equinox Wall Street in Early February and requested the cancellation process. Over the phone, a lady told me "No worries, your annual membership will be cancelled automatically after the year's contract." I was surprised by that answer and thought it has been taken care of.
But in April, I found out from my bank account that they were still charging me... Then I called Equinox's corporate number, they said the staff from Wall Street will contact me. Then I waited until May 5, no one contacted me...
Then I gave Wall Street another phone call. This time, I spoke to Tony, the manager. He was nice and promised to give me a refund for May. But he said he needed to investigate the situation with his assistant and see whether I can get refund for April.
On May 7, I received an email from the assistant, Melanie Madan, "I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I tried to reach you and could not get through. I wanted to inform you that Tony, our GM, has given you the month of May back as a refund. I reached out to you in April regarding a previous claim you filed with our team at corporate and you never reached back. There will be no second refund to be placed."
This was a lie!!! I didn't receive any phone call or email from her between early February until May 7 regarding this situation. I called you guys in early February, it's your gym's responsibly to explain the policy and process the cancellation for me. It turned out that I am the one who are taking the financial loss and wasting time on a simple cancellation request. Very disappointed!!!
You have very good staff in gym who are attentive, responsive. But account management team!! It's like a joke...
