Wow oh wow! I’ve been going to Etude for three years now for Gyrotonic & Pilates and yet every time I have a session I come out feeling stronger & refreshed! Rebecca is a phenomenal instructor & does a great job working around injuries! There’s nobody who has helped me achieve my fitness goals more than her!

I had been working with a physical therapist to try alleviate joint pains and various mobility issues but despite seeing a PT 3x a week, for almost a year, the aches and pains persisted. I was frustrated by the slow progress, when my neighbor suggested that I try gyrotonics with Rebecca as an alternative to physical therapy. My neighbor, a professional dance choreographer, had a remarkable recovery with gyrotonics after her hip surgery and she could not say enough good things about Rebecca’s work. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try and boy!….am I glad that I did. I have been religiously working with Rebecca for close to 2 years and absolutely love it. She has, not only, alleviated all the aches and stiffness I had but she has found new ways to challenge my body with a variety of strength and mobility exercises, that I was not even aware my body needed. Her ability to adapt is particularly important when she caters to such a wide range of clients; from young adults to middle age/seniors. Her boundless energy keeps me motivated and engaged, and she is always alert to the limitations my joints may pose: critical qualities required of a good trainer. An added bonus is the access to her well equipped (and super clean) studio that overlooks a quiet serene garden despite being located a block away from a key subway stop in the UWS.

I have been doing Gyrotonic for more than 25 years; all my teachers have been wonderful, but Rebecca is simply at another level of excellence. She employs a variety of modalities, using equipment and applying techniques outside the Gyrotonic playbook. Her approach is client centric: whether it is working on chronic problems or addressing acute needs. She has the understanding and knowledge of the body one associates with physical therapists. Rebecca is a great communicator, helping clients perform movements which are new to them – and, she does it all with intelligence and a sense of humor that makes every session a joy.
As you can tell I am a big fan. Book a couple of sessions with her – you won’t regret it!

Rebecca has been training me for several years. She tailors my workouts to whichever part of my body is in need of assistance along with a comprehensive gyro training regiment. She is incredibly knowledgeable of gyro and the way in which gyro can help my body perform better. I look forward to my weekly sessions with her.

I have been working with Rebecca for about 3 years. She helped me strengthen my core and helped me recover from my back surgery more than any of the physical therapists I have seen. She figured out in a nuanced way where my weaknesses are and developed and creative, fun, enjoyable, program which helped address my issues.. She alters the routine every time i come to her class based on what is bothering me at the moment. Even if i don’t have a specific complaint, she noticed my range of motion and particular nuances in my movements and structures a highly intelligent program for that day. Aside from knowing the anatomy inside out, she is a warm, caring person who caters to your level of energy that day. It is never awkward and she makes it flow so naturally. Seeing Rebecca weekly is a big highlight of my week that I look forward to. Thanks to her I have seen great progress in my back and overall physical wellbeing. I highly recommend her.

I've been training with Rebecca at Etude 72 for over a year. Her private studio is bright and inviting with all the equipment you need (Gyrotonic, Pilates, Corealign) for a one-of-a-kind movement workout. Rebecca focuses on building proper technique and tailors each workout to my needs. I have definitely seen improvement in my strength, endurance, and balance. Her sense of humor makes every workout a joy!
