Solid first lesson from Lauren. Established area(s) that need improvement, used video to help support flaws, proposed easy to understand modifications, and concluded with some drills to take to the range. I also appreciated the insight on how to best approach working changes into actual rounds. Lauren does a wonderful job of teaching kids to develop a consistent foundation. My daughter’s first lesson focused on rotation during the backswing and follow through. Lauren provided her with a practice drill to work on before her next lesson. The second lesson she focused on swing control and structure. In 2 lessons my daughter is hitting her 9 iron 75 yards...pretty impressive considering she could never hit her irons.

My first lesson with Lauren was of benefit 5 minutes into it. After a few of my normal mediocre strikes she pointed out how my hands were to close to my body at set up. Changing that and an adjustment to my takeaway improved ball striking MUCH better. Very patient and communicates in a way that is easy to soak in. Was going to take 2 lessons but will now take 5. Very much looking forward to it!

This past Thursday I met with Lauren Tallman for a club fitting. As always Lauren was well prepared for our session. She shared information and suggestions in a very comfortable way. She never makes you feel rushed. I appreciate how she personalizes each session. She is a wonderful resource and I look forward to my upcoming lessons.

I had another great lesson with Lauren Tallman on Thursday, September 3rd. The lesson was a good variety of activities to improve my golf game. It included a warm up, playing several holes and then work on the putting green. With each component of the lesson Lauren's feedback was helpful. Hadn't had a lesson in years, but this is the first of many to come with Dan.
Great guy, great use of video ... and simplifies the lesson into one or two swing thoughts to leave with.
It's obvious Dan has a deep teaching resume and he has a great way of communicating based on his student's level of experience and knowledge.
The only thing keeping me going back for a second lesson is my desire to hit the range a great deal to practice what I've learned.

Lauren arrived early and actually met me in the parking lot. It was nice to have help getting acclimated since I had never been to Ravenwood before. My lesson was very individualized rather than "boxed" and the result was great. So far I have been able to bring my 9 hole score back to the lower 40's, rather than mid to upper 40s. I've taken lessons with both Dan and Lauren and think the world of both of them, both personally and professionally. It takes a lot of patience to work with my golf swing, as there are so many things wrong with it. Both Lauren and Dan are great at picking out one thing to work on first (the thing that's holding me back most), then when I have that (somewhat) fixed, we move on to the next. Golf had started to be 'not fun' for me cause I was striking the ball so poorly, but these two have helped make the game enjoyable again.

I highly recommend Lauren Tallman as golf professional. To start, Lauren is an effective communicator and quickly establishes rapport with her students. A key element to receive instruction is to help the student feel at ease and comfortable; and Lauren sets the tone to encompass a safe space where growth can happen. Within one lesson I was able to gain confidence in my golf swing, and have a better understanding of how to self-correct. During the instruction she simplifies the steps by creating modifications that are practical and will provide constructive feedback for areas of improvements. I'm brand new to golf and Lauren did a terrific job introducing me to the sport. The pace of the clinic was perfect. She gave us easy to follow instructions and plenty of tips. This was my first golf lesson! It was an incredible experience! Lauren is an incredible teacher who is able to break down the golf swing into bite sized chunks that I could understand and use.
