Fit Happens is a locally owned and operated community fitness center. Located in Johnstown/Gloversville. We have fitness classes, personal training, a yoga studio, Spinning, a full assortment of cable machines and free weights as well as a half-court basketball gym. Uplift Cafe is attached to the facility for you to refuel and recover post workout.

I've signed up here a couple times over the years hoping they would get better. However, it's obvious now that they have no interest in updating or maintaining their equipment in any way. I'm paying the same monthly fee here that I would be at mule Fitness in Amsterdam and that Jim is infinitely better in quality of equipment and size. Everything is either breaking down rips or rusting and they don't even bother to take care of their cable machines so they are rough, they jerk, and they Creak when trying to use the machines. I only live four houses away from them I can almost see them when I walk out my front door. But I've chosen to drive 20 minutes to Amsterdam because of how poor the quality of their gym is. Shame

Nice gym. Cafe is yummy and convenient, but some of the staff is hit or miss. Father was taken advantage of. They also kick out customers (who clearly have to pay to be in there) on the exact minute of closing. No grace period to even let you finish. Not even a retail or grocery store which is FREE to go into will do that: They always give you a grace period to finish. Very disappointing and unfortunate.

This is one of the best places in the area to go for physical therapy. The staff is very knowledgeable, kind and caring. I would recommend them to anyone!

First of all, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I bought a 1 year membership and due to unforeseen circumstances I wanted to cancel (I’m only a couple months in). Apparently they can’t refund your money because it’s already been deposited? That make no sense at all. So now I’m stuck with a membership I can’t use. Kinda like stealing.
