My husband (71) and I (66)have been going to FitHouse for 11years. We feel this is an investment in our future, our health and mobility. Chris Rombola is very knowledgeable about your body and nutrition and he is always willing to share his knowledge about diet and exercise. We are stronger and healthier than we have ever been. Getting older isn’t an easy thing, but Chris gives us the tools to continue to live our lives on our terms and not be restricted by our body or mind. We feel good and don’t intend to stop.

I’ve been with Chris Rumbola for over 10 years. The one thing that I have always said when people ask me why I continue to workout at my age (71) is so I can keep being active and enjoy life, rather than sit around complaining about what I can’t do! Chris practices what he preaches… you see that from the moment you walk into the gym; his attitude and enthusiasm is infectious. This is such a great place! Chris and Kristen are both excellent trainers who truly care about their clients. I resisted strength training my whole life, and my only regret is I didn’t start sooner. Fithouse is truly a non-judgmental atmosphere filled with like minded people who just want to get strong and be healthy. Chris really listens and works around any issues or concerns with his clients. He is patient with beginners and provides the encouragement needed to push hard and be accomplished. He is the heart of that gym, and makes every work out enjoyable.

I started at the fit house around 7 years ago, when I started I was around 13, as all the other people say, I could literally barely lift a 3 lb dumbbell. With the help of Chris and Gina and their training regimen, I am now able to lift ten times what I used to. Chris is an amazing teacher and an even better person. He is a great coach and is very easy to learn from and is so knowledgeable at what he does. Depending on your goal, he can tailor a workout or a meal plan to help you reach it. I've been a client at Fit House for a year and a half. It has been a total game changer for me! I was looking for a change after the same old gym routine sort of stopped working for me. I got bored and wasn't seeing the results I wanted. I had always belonged to a gym and worked out in some capacity - but never strength training. I was nervous and wasn't sure it was the right thing for me. I didn't want to get "big" or "bulky" and I thought that was what strength training would do. Chris is my trainer and he assured me that if I stuck with his detailed and tailored program, I would get the results I was desiring - toned and lean NOT big or bulky. It wasn't long after I started, that I saw a difference - and more importantly to me, FELT a difference. I was stronger than I had ever been, and leaner. It was so motivating! I ended up adding an extra workout day to my weekly schedule. I didn't think I'd have the time, but I MADE time. This is my health insurance. There is nothing more important than taking care of yourself so you can be there for the people who need you - and also be there for YOURSELF!
Chris is a fantastic trainer for many reasons, but especially because he genuinely wants you to succeed. He cares. He gets excited when you achieve a goal - he celebrates, as does everyone else at Fit House! It's a warm and friendly crew no matter when you go. Everyone cheers everyone on. There's no judging. It's comfortable.
I am so grateful that I found Fit House, and so grateful for the knowledgeable and amazing trainers - and of course, SO grateful to have given strength training a shot!! Turns out it's just what I needed!!

When I first started at Fit House 2.5 years ago, I could barely squat and couldn't get up off the floor without crawling to something I could hold onto. Split squats? Lunges? Nope. My hips and glutes were so weak due to previous hip replacements but Chris and Gina worked with me and gave me tips and modifications to help me build strength in those areas. I've had repeated issues with my R biceps/shoulder and again, I was given modifications to help build strength and increase mobility. Fast forward to today: I no longer have to crawl to stand! I can straighten my R arm almost fully and can do splits squats and reverse lunges with weights. Next up? Walking lunges. Stay tuned!!

Chris at Fit House is a great trainer. His knowledge of how the muscles in the body work together and how to strategically target different parts of the muscle to build overall full-body strength and minimize imbalances is unparalleled. He puts a lot of thought into designing the workouts, which change approximately every 4-6 weeks to prevent plateaus and to work on both muscular strength and endurance of the whole body. Chris circulates the gym throughout each session to make sure that clients are doing the exercises correctly to minimize the chance of injury and to ensure that the most benefit is gained from each rep through proper form. The fist bump at the end of each session is great for one's mental health. The atmosphere is friendly and full of "regular people" and there is a place for everyone.

I’ve been training with Kristen at Fit House since 2018 and it’s been a game changer. Kristen took me from not being able to squat on to a seat because my knees were in so much pain to continuing to lift, even through injuries, and stay strong. I’ve been able to do things physically I never imagined but the biggest surprise was how it’s helped me build my own confidence and mental strength. I find myself using the same mental tools I use at the gym to help me check my thinking when other challenges arise. Also, I’ve utilized nutrition coaching throughout the years and it’s helped me understand food and nutrients as well as develop healthier habits around my own nutritional needs. I have been going to fithouse for a few years and at 50+ years am the strongest I have ever been. Well that's a little embarrassing. Anyways, Christopher is extremely knowledgeable and can communicate what to do, how to do it, and why. There is logic and natural progression behind the training program. Because of Chris and FH, I have an infinitely better grasp on good, healthy nutrition and more importantly what works for me and while sugar/carb addiction is still a struggle sometimes, I have better tools on beating that and can get back on track. I have seen far more progress than I could ever have imagined.

For the past 7 years I have been part of the Fit House family. This experience has changed my life in ways I could not have imagined and has proved to be one of the best decisions about my health I have made. Not only have I lost weight and inches, but I am the strongest I have ever been. My workouts change regularly, are tailored to my individual needs, and are always challenging and fun.
As a result of a fall over 20 years ago, I suffer from a herniated disc in my back. I live with daily pain, which at times, is debilitating. For years I was hesitant to exercise regularly because I was afraid my pain would worsen. I could not have been more wrong! Without question, my backs now stronger than it has ever been. On days I wake up with pain, I cannot wait to get to Fit House because I know that 20 minutes into my workout it will be gone.
Chris is amazing at pairing me with the perfect exercises and is committed to ensuring each are performed correctly. I appreciate Chris' responsiveness to my changing needs. In 2019, outpatient surgery forced me to stay away from exercise and weight training for months. Once I was able to resume, I was hesitant about lifting weights. Chris modified my workouts and closely monitored my progress.
The comprehensive approach Fit House provides has helped to build my confidence in exercise and weight training. Through workouts 4 days a week, my flexibility has improved dramatically. Fit House's program has increased my energy level, significantly decreased my daily pain, and significantly improved my overall quality of life.
Chris and Gina are professional, caring and compassionate people. In 2018 I needed to take time off to take care of my mom til she passed. In 2019 I needed to have surgery and then take care of another family member. in 2022 my dad passed away. All those times, Chris and Gina were so supportive. Chris offered to freeze my membership for as long as I needed! No questions asked! You won't get that at any other gym!

I began working with Chris and Gina a little over a year ago and I can honestly say doing so has transformed my understanding of “healthy”. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable on exercise and nutrition, and his incredible enthusiasm for both is contagious. I am so happy to be back working with Chris and Gina. When I was in Buffalo Chris help me lose 50lbs. I have relocated to Texas, and gained my weight back. So I reached out to Chris when I had, had enough of struggling with my weight again. Well I am SO happy to say that in just 3 weeks I am down 15lbs. It has been hard work and I am committed to the process. I chat with Gina each week on my nutrition. So happy to have her guiding me with my food, which in the past has been my weakness. The workouts from Chris have been great. I have alot of work ahead of me. But, for the first time in a long while, I feel in control. I feel great! I know with their help and guidance I will succeed. I used to feel intimidated when I walked into a gym. I was overwhelmed by the people and by ALL of the different machines (I’m more so used to a yoga studio). The entire staff at Fit House truly makes me feel like I am a part of the FIT Family. The people in general who I train with (people who I’ve never met before) makes working out more fun and more motivating. Everyone is so friendly!!! (Yes, I’m being serious). You’ll hear laughter, you’ll see smiles, you’ll see sweat, you’ll hear grunts, and you’ll see tears.
Some days it’s so hard for me to peel off that band aid and step into the gym. However, since we are all there to motivate and support one another, this makes that thought dissolve immediately and I’m ALWAYS grateful that I pushed myself (which is half the battle). It’s a smaller gym size (which I love) and I receive the one on one attention that I need. Both Chris and Gina are phenomenal. I am not the easiest person to train (I tend to feel overwhelmed and need more guidance and modeling). Both Gina and Chris are patient, supportive, and are excellent trainers. I never feel intimidated or like I’m being talked down to. When I hurt my knee, both were so accommodating and made different exercises for me to do. They actually listened to me and tailored my training session based on my abilities. I love learning more about proper form when using weights and machines. I love seeing how much stronger I am now both mentally and physically. I’ve noticed a huge difference (strength wise) when I have my yoga practice. I have re-gained my energy, my confidence, and truly have never felt better! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

This man charged me for sessions that I couldn’t attend while I was taking care of my dying father. I asked him to pause my account during this time and he refused. He then proceeded to take me to small claims court for the remaining amount of my contract when I told him I felt what he did was unethical and I no long felt comfortable working with someone that takes advantage of their clients. Beware of the contract!!!
