Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and well-being. I have been on a life long fitness journey and done many things over time but was very specific with my goals when I came to Mark in 2023. My job is physical and I need to able to do it—preferably pain free! for several years. My goal was to tone up, gain muscle mass, in a way that respects and then helps overcome my prior injuries or weaknesses — and thanks to the amazing support and guidance here, I have made incredible progress.
That level of individualization made me trust them completely — and that trust has only grown.
In fact, I now bring my middle schooler here too! I wanted to help my children build healthy habits early, and this gym has been amazing at helping with movement, strength, and overall fitness in a safe and positive environment. It means so much to have a place I feel good bringing my child to — where they’re supported just like I was.

I have been enjoying the summer months at FitStrength !! I look forward to my twice a week personal training. Each individual is given a personalized workout for your session with other participants. Max 6 people!! As I walk into FitStrength the trainer asks how you’re doing. For example……. I have knee pain. So they adjust my training accordingly. Constant encouragement is given. High fives all around 🙌🏼. I feel energetic and happy the rest of the day 😀 I will be extending my training thru September before heading south. 💪🏼. I can’t say enough great things about the small group training, which started off for my 6th now 7th grader! The small group training sessions are perfect—personalized attention, specific for the athlete's needs, and an outstanding balance between learning new skills for injury prevention and staying active. The coach knows how to keep the athletes motivated and push them when ready to move up in weights or extend a drill. My child has not only improved physically but has also gained confidence physically and mentally. He loves how his body shapes out ( you know, middle schoolers), and he likes that when he sees older athletes, he pushes himself because he feels supported and confident enough to do so, which teaches him resilience. I highly recommend this for any parent looking to keep their child healthy and active in a supportive environment!

This is such a great place for young athletes and older adults looking to get into fitness. Fit Strength Performance is an excellent strength training program. I started here because I wanted to do more strength training, but I needed a coach to show me what to do. I did not want to shell out a ton of money for a personal trainer though. Fit Strength Performance has the perfect mix: very small classes with individual work stations, attentive coaches, and preplanned workout routines that vary so that you get exposure to a lot of different exercises and equipment. I also appreciate that they have lots of different class times, so I can find good times that fit my work schedule. I think the price is a great deal too. I spend more there than I would for, say, a membership at the YMCA; however, the personal coaching and attention makes it more than worth it. When I compare the price of a class at FSP with the price of taking a guitar lesson or a language lesson, it is a great deal! In terms of results, it's been about two months, going twice a week. I look pretty much the same, but I definitely feel stronger and I got a pretty steady soreness (but not too sore) that feels good, like I am making progress. Finally, I have to say the coaches at FSP are awesome--really kind, supportive, and encouraging. I appreciate that as a beginner, especially since the whole idea of strength training was a little intimidating. I am really glad I signed up here.

Prior to working out with Mark at Fit Strength performance I struggled to exercise on a consistent basis. I had no real understanding of how to use weights properly and the form needed to do so. My goals were to lose weight, get stronger, increase my general flexibility and mobility and develop better daily habits. Within a few sessions of Mark coming to my house I could tell he would be great coach for me! I started feeling stronger, more flexible and found myself slowly making better eating and life choices outside of our sessions. In the first 3 months, I lost 20lbs (the right way!) felt better than I ever had and found my energy levels to be higher than I had previously experienced. Marks ability to continuously change our dynamic works outs to fit my bodies needs is part of why I have really enjoyed the last 3 years we have been working together. He knows my body well by now and knows when its time to go hard and when its time to give the body a rest and really work on deep stretching and overall body repair. My son and I have been going to Mark Bruce for about 4 years now. We had originally heard through the sports and fitness community that Mark was exceptional. And after training for a few months with Mark, I realized just how versatile and effective his programs are. He works will all different age groups, each with different fitness goals. (Adults who want to lose weight or gain strength/muscle. High school or middle school athletes. College and professional athletes. Adult athletes as well.)
Over the past 4 years, my fitness goals and my competitive sports goals have been pretty dynamic. Mark has been able to provide a flexible program that has helped me reach my goals quickly/safely/effectively based on the sports season, etc.
Mark has also been very helpful in guiding me on how to train through an injury safely and how to avoid future injuries. I’m 47, so this is the advice/insight that I value most.
My son is an 8th grader now and his basketball skills and abilities have improved significantly while training with Mark.
