The hours arenβt great. It would be better if it was 9am to 7/8pm weekdays, and 9am to 9/10pm on weekends. I bet its to save money on working hours, or maybe they canβt find people to work those times. Probably a little of both.

Cheap, $10/month. Equipment is usually available. But management really should teach the staff behind the desk to say Hi back, when customers sign in and say Hello, instead of just looking at them. Especially the little one that works today.

Wow, just Wow! The guy that owns this place is horrible. I went into the bathroom and it smelled like urine! On top of that, one of the sinks don't work.
If that wasn't enough, the actual bathroom and isn't part of a "changing room", and is literally less than the size of a closet and it smells awful too!
No one is wiping down the machines from the staff, and the staff super unfriendly and weird.
Better off lifting cement blocks in my backyard then paying for anything here.

Iβve been trying to cancel my sons account which had been inactive for over 14 months and all they do is give me the run around meanwhile they keep charging my card. They said they would call me back, never did Iβve had to call various times and stilllll I get charged for the annual fee and for this month of October. I will not recommend this place with the shady unethical business

A cheap gym with no bells and whistles, the bare basics and usually not too crowded. They're pretty lax with signing in most of the time and the staff is pretty indifferent to your presence 90% of the time (hence the lax signing in policy). Again, really bare bones and small but it gets the job done. If you're looking to get in, work out, get out and not break the bank this gyms not the worst choice. Oh, and the hours are okay most of the time but in the world of covid don't expect to work out past 5pm on the weekend.

Donβt go to this gym!!!! They charged my card $40 without any in advance notice or anything when I did not even know they were open after the pandemic. When I called and requested a refund the manager or the owner rudely told me he canβt cuz they have got bills to pay too and I should have canceled. He also told me I have to go in person to cancel this membership. They like to charge you simply because they have got bills to pay too. No customer care or courtesy what so ever.

Avoid this gym if you can, I had to cancel my membership 3 years ago because I was going away for school so I asked if I had to pay a cancellation fee and I was told no just the past months due. Next thing you know about a month ago I went to the car dealership to finance a car and I couldn't because this gym had placed me in collections after they had said I didn't have to pay anything but the past months due. On top of that for what they charge a month you can get better elsewhere, this gym does not include showers or a private locker room, I've witnessed people eating on the machines and the machines always seem to be broken.

I'll be back. Fitness 1 is its new name. Tiny and clean. Sooo inexpensive. Nobody bothers you. Enough equipment for muscleheads and aeroheads alike. The owner is always around making sure everything is ok. Plenty of parking space.
I wish they had an assisted pull up machine and showers.

Been a member for 3 years. Anyone looking to just get in great shape and stay there, this is for us. Some may call it no frills cause it doesn't have a pool or sauna/steam room or huge changing rooms, but it has lots of what we need as far as treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair climber, then all the weights one could ask for. If you're looking to put your head down and work, this is just the right place, as it is for me, and best of all is the price! $15 a month, with specials thru the year when it can be $10 a month!

Very unprofessional staff, (except when signing you up). Just because you don't offer as many services does not mean the level of customer service should be so poor. There are too many other fitness providers that offer much more for not much more money, and conduct them selves professionally.

i wonder why there is no reviews section here...
Well this is a story all about how my life got turned upside down...
Well not really, but it is a story of how that $10 signup deal has cost me $80 for walking in just 1 day.
Although it was a while ago i explained my situation to the girl who called me on almost daily basis to collect the dues for 3 months (reminder 1 day of physically walking in & working out) that i can't make it to the gym & since i haven't been to the place besides that 1-day if i can just pay off the account $30 over the phone & close out my account & i do understand she's just doing her job & said it can't be done over the phone & has to be sent via mail or done personally, & i will admit i could've been able to go in here & there to close the account but cancelling a gym membership that i barely went to once is the last thing on my mind after a full/hectic day at work. Till one day i received a call from someone I presumed was the manager(turned out to be the owner) who insisted i closed out the account, i asked the same question & gave the same reasoning as previously stated & was again told it has to be in person or via mail & if not done so the account will go into debtcollection i.e. $30 for 3 months(meh dont care it's just $30) & an additional $50 for god knows what fee(that extra $50 dollars though), So i asked if a can get a cancellation form through email(i mean really asking for it via mail might've even been worse, to which i am told they don't have any such forms(if they don't have any cancellation forms to fill out, what's the fuss of me cancelling it over the phone) to which i was told "oh just send a letter stating that you want to cancel the membership", I mean that's all it takes to cancel the membership (mind is still kinda boggled about how it can't be cancelled while i'm on the phone with the someone who owns the place for well over 15-20 mins) & was again reminded by the owner that it's in the contract(won't really use the word threateningly but the tone & mannerism was in the general ballpark) & well i did sign the contract & didn't really read through it completely & i guess that extra $50 is just what the gym owner needs, think he might be saving it get a class in how to build customer relationships or just general manners at least i hope that would be the case, but well you did win, you did send the account into debtcollection & i think as far as my knowledge of debt collection goes you already got paid for the account, So please enjoy that extra $50.
Much regards
tl:dr
Epitome of laziness, too tired to workout, so don't ever go to the gym after signing up, $10 turn into $80 gym owner wins
The Staff was pretty cool though

What a great little facility.
Actually switched from Crunch West Babylon to Fitness 19 about a year ago. Crunch became poorly overseen; their staff did not enforce people to clean up after themselves and didn't pick up after either so I would spend more time finding weights than using them.
Fitness 19 has everything you need; and it's greatest asset is their team. The owner John is intimately involved in the day to day and very intent on making sure you walk out of the facility with the best experience you could have.
Equipment is cleaned and organized vigorously. Management keeps this place running prestinely yet is not overbearing at all. If equipment goes down (which is incredibly infrequent), it's fixed before you have time to even notice the "called for Service" sign.
The place is never overly crowded to the extent that it's incovienent.
Honestly one of the better facilities on Long Island.

Stay away from here, Stay far away, I had a membership, went a couple of times over several months and could not work out due to a serious illness, I was paid up to date, I went down to put my membership on hold and was told they couldn't do that, So I cancelled my membership. I was then billed for an additional month, of $15 dollars Fitness 19 personnel told me I quit too late, Fitness 19 personnel called me several times harassing me about this $15 dollars and that they were billing me for the next month, even though I was physically unable to work out. I told them I was not paying for a month after I quit, They then sold this $15 bill to a credit collection company and added late charges, now remember this is for a month after I quit the Fitness 19 gym due to a severe illness not from when I was a member, now I am fighting this with their collection company and disputing collection because I would not let them bilk me for no reason other than thier nickle and dime greed It was never about the $15 dollars, it was more about what is right and what is wrong so if you want to deal with this join them

I have been to a number of Fitness 19 throughout the northeast and mid-west and this is by far the Worst Fitness 19 location I have ever been to. They only have one sanitation station (to clean off the equipment) in the gym. They are the only location to NOT provide towels to whip down equipment I have been to. They do NOT have hot water in the restrooms to wash your hands with, and have OVER 30 lights OUT/OFF in the gym. I have never seen the staff clean any of the equipment including the personal trainers after they train someone of a machine or free weight bench. They just clean the floors at the beginning and end of the day. The machines are all functional and in fair condition with a few rips here an there on the workout machine pads. Just last night I walk in to use the restroom and there were paper towels all over restroom the floor and water split all over the sink tops with no paper towels in the rest room. 90% of the time I walk into the gym there isn't a person sitting at the front desk. The owner is by far the rudest owner of any fitness 19 I have ever met. I would not recommend this location to anyone. This is the worst representation of a Fitness 19 gym I have ever seen. If the company was smart they would remove the owner as soon as possible and replace him with someone who able to run a clean and presentable gym under the Fitness 19 name the way the other location are ran.
