The fitness factory is super clean, the front desk are super friendly and address me by my name. Whenever I need something the staff is quick to help me with whatever I need at the moment. The gym is so spacious you can get lost and no one is on top of you ever I’ve been in fitness for 15+ years and I’m truly thankful for the staff at the fitness factory.

I decided to GIVE a FIVE OF FIVE= to 1 and expose the WORSE AND UNACCEPTABLE conduct of FITNESS FACTORY in Yonkers administration while breaching its own written contract.
Steve, staff at the front desk was the EXECUTOR of the breach of the contract drafted by FITNESS FACTORY in Yonkers. For which reason we are in COURT.

If as I do; any other human being CARES bout your MONEY or having your CREDIT SCORE in good standing, please, please, READ how FITNESS FACTORY in Yonkers did me wrong in the following case:

In January 2023, I decided to sign the contract for one year at FITNESS FACTORY IN YONKERS.

At the end of October 2023, I was required to have three major surgeries.
On October 25, 2023 , I personally submitted to the gym's assistant manager, Christina Moodie, all required documents from all my doctors to have the contract I signed obeyed. See page #2 of the contract clause allowing me to hold or cancel any future payments starting on November 1, 2023.

Ms. Moodie falsely personally promised to call me on October 30th, 2023, upon completing the filing of the medical records to have my contract reinforced.

On October 31st, 2023, in vain, I called Ms. Moodie SEVEN times, but she was allegedly in meetings all day or too busy to take any of my phone calls nor I did not hear from Ms. Moodie through any form of communications on records at the gym. At that point I blocked the name Gym from processing any future charges to my credit card on record. See phone call records.

On November 1st, 2023, Ms. Moodie and the supervisor of operations Robert Talty, started harassing me via email and phone call demanding payment.

On December 1st, 2023, the harassment continued, alleging that my written doctors’ notices of October 25th, 2023 about my surgeries were not timely submitted.

As I had blocked the gym from using my credit card viciously with malice to take my money at will, I paid the month of December in cash in exchange for future use of the gym.

I sincerely wanted to resume working out after the six to ten months post surgery recovery required.

When I resumed trying to work out at the gym, the outrageous conduct of humiliation and embarrassment perpetrated by Steve at the front desk at FITNESS FACTORY in Yonkers, needs to be exposed. As per order of the Gym's management, I was personally bullied by Steve, front desk staff. The general public MUST be aware how this gym will breach its own written contract and will take your money, unless you block the payment method on records. As I did!

I really enjoy this gym — it’s clean, has decent equipment, and covers all the basics for a full-body workout.

However, the weekend staff — especially on Sunday mornings — is a serious issue. This morning, I waited over an hour outside with other members, and no one showed up to open the gym. Eventually, I gave up and left. This isn’t the first time either.

The gym itself is great, but the management really needs to address the lack of punctuality with weekend workers. Members should be able to rely on posted hours.

I walked in today and saw management cleaning the facility. I’ve never seen a gym have management chip in and help make sure the gym stays sanitized. I’ve been here for two years and I do not plan on leaving. Fitness Factory provides a safe and cleanly environment for everyone to learn and grow.

I love this gym so much. Staff is super friendly and facility is very clean. The machines are new and kept spotless. I was going to relocate, but decided to stay in my current apartment because I could not leave this gym. 10/10 shoutout to Joshua and Steven at front desk - you guys are phenomenal and deserve all the raises on Earth. Fui a inscribirme y mi interés eran las clases grupales, tienen un calendario de unas 4 o 5 clases grupales por día, me inscribo y fui el primer día, no hay clases grupales, voy el segundo tampoco. Le explico que decidí inscribirme con ellos por las clases grupales y al no tenerlas voy a cancelar la membresía, la inscripción fue viernes y la semana siguiente fui Lunes no hubo entrenamiento grupal, martes tampoco... cancelo y la joven me dice q me reembolsaran el dinero, pues no sucedió. Además de ofrecer algo que no me dieron cuando me voy se niegan a devolver mi dinero y no use el gimnasio ni un día, y llamo para preguntar pues que no devuelven, eso es estafa. Cabe destacar que no hice contrato por un año, opte por el plan que es sin contrato, por eso era más costoso

Honestly, there are plenty of better gyms than this particular location. The manager Joshua is honestly very unprofessional, from his strange comments to and about women. To his short tempered and rude comments to customers when they aren't interested in having the fitness assessment. Very expensive gym with better potential if management was changed.

Place is for beginners . Coming from xtreme fitness of westchester i can say this gym is Not bodybuilder friendly. I see myself lasting a few months here. Nice and clean, but lacking alot of machines. Again NOT body builder friendly. Beginner level. And the whole not having parking is a a bit of an issue for me.

I didn’t sign a contract and paid on a monthly basis . Eventually I moved and I’ve been receiving nasty emails from them threatening to ruin my credit and involve a collections agency. I don’t owe them any money because I canceled my plan. Not sure what’s going on , on their end but all I can say is beware.

I think it is not hygienic that customers are allowed to walk around the gym without a shirt on.
This should not be allowed.
As a paying customer that has to share the workout benches & workout machines that someone else used with no shirt on, or sat on, is disgusting. There should be signs throughout the gym stating that customers MUST WEAR A SHIRT!!!! I feel very uncomfortable working out seeing other male customers with no shirts on

Lied straight to my face.

I signed up for a year. They told me from the jump that if I moved I could leave my contract. I ended up having to move back upstate after 7 months of living in Yonkers.

When I attempted to cancel, I provided both my current Yonkers address along with the upstate address I'm moving to but for some reason now they can't fulfill their promise to break the contract if I left the area. They said I'd have to get an entire new drivers' license with a new address in order to do so.. an absolutely insane request. Who even does that unless their license is about to expire? Not to mention I don't even believe they'd cancel it at that point since they already lied to me once.

Completely unreasonable, greedy & money hungry management. All they care about squeezing every dollar out of their members. Stay far away from this place

This gym is clean and not too crowded if you hit it at the right time. Very crowded after work, but which gym isn't. My main issue is that they only have two squat racks and one across the room from a mirror. Staff are very friendly though so overall a good gym. UPDATE: They added more squat racks. Up to 5 now.

Dont ignore any of the warnings about this gym. Dont sign any contract, dont go into any agreements. Currently preparing for court against them for over $3,000 of personal training services not provided and when I tried to find out what was going on, I was told I had to continue making the payments of $520 a month before they could tell me how many sessions I have left unused or get a new personal trainer, and then was told the gym isn’t going to allow anyone in who “owes” money….. like they don’t owe me $3000 worth of services. Please go elsewhere.

It’s a gym not worth going to. They charge $40 a month and don't have enough machines, making it difficult to exercise peacefully. Moreover, people often record and get upset if you pass through 'their space,' not to mention the broken machines. They charge for something that's not worth it.

Thank you for your poor customer service during my free 3 days trial.
I ended up joining a better gym with great customer service, free parking, swimming pool, sauna and steam room.
If you don’t find my records ask the tall young African American employee at the front desk. He really turned me away with his bad mood towards me when I asked him some questions. The contradiction of positive reviews and mine maybe are from your close friends who writes what you want the public to read. What about the other negative reviews you have that are not mine?

My daughter in law had month to month no commitment membership at the beginning of the last month she informed the gym manager she wanted to stop coming to the gym but she was charged for the future month, but there is not any commitment at all. This is my honest limited experience/opinion: I really like the gym and the equipment, HOWEVER it’s just way too crowded to really enjoy. I tried a 3 day pass (you have to use the days consecutively. E.g.- Wednesday-Friday). The staff there is ok, some are friendly but most of the time they are distracted/hanging out/talking to other members/or avoiding the desk altogether. The upstairs is less crowded but has older equipment than the main floor (which is always severely overcrowded). I decided to try the gym at different times during the week- from late morning to late night/closing. It was ALWAYS crowded no matter the time I went. It’s a bummer considering I liked the experience overall but I don’t think I can really reach my fitness goals here

Very disappointed I bought the two-year membership for the sauna especially and it turns out that it is a disaster, it never works completely, when it is not damaged it is that it does not heat, it does not work like many other saunas from other gyms, it is only hot and neither that does. I'm going to continue because I can't cancel anymore, so I suggest you take a free day and go and see why they tell you one thing and then another. The same thing happens with the ro park, they sell you a subscription for 10 us per month and After you buy it, they tell you that it is only two hours, you have to do everything running to avoid paying an extra charge, I am extremely disappointed and I do not recommend it👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

It’s an average, overcrowded gym. I was a member here for about a year. I stopped coming because it was impossible to use equipment due to general overcrowding and people filming TikTok videos in the weight area.

I was on a no commitment plan which I just canceled. Due to it not occurring 15 days before the end of the month, I still owed the next month’s fees. Upon cancellation, I was also charged my “annual maintenance fee”, which is another month’s fee. When I asked what this was for, I was told this covers the cost of “new exercise mats”.

I had every intention of paying what I owe contractually, but I didn’t hesitate to express my disappointment of such a blatant money grab to an outgoing member. And to that, I received this response: “with all due respect reading is fundamental” and they attached my contract.

That response was pretty unexpected because I had remained respectful in my communications, despite my dissatisfied views. I had even asked for help updating my debit card to submit final payment, so I don’t understand the aggression.

I suppose an insult upon cancellation is the basic template response for a gym like this one.

What else is there to say, join the gym if you're looking for diversity the gym has everything from alkaline drinks to Zumba, I think I saw a nursery for kids also . Christina, Shawn and Josh are some of the coolest people on the planet. Boxing is my thing I signed up when I saw the room they have. Not only that the energy in this gym when I walk in glass Windows beautiful views plus state of the art equipment, water fountain and elevator plus parking.

Where this is poor management, there is declining business. The manager ANNE, speaks very badly about members that PAY TO BE THERE. They ignore complaints, suggestions, and will also make you feel uncomfortable within the gym, because of tension created by THE MANAGER. Take your money elsewhere! Nobody should pay for unprofessionalism, disrespect, and petty tension from a "manager" essentially running a business you pay to come too. Not a good look for a gym that has not been open for a year.

I wish they had no stars as an option because this is absolutely ridiculous!! I'm very confused at the start up fee from what i have heard , everyone has paid a different price to join the gym, which was a red flag to me from the start but i decided to give it a chance anyways. When i had arrived , they were very hostile, dismissive, and rude. The Manager gave me very much karen vibes, Its really surprising and dissapointing that i received this type behavior from the manager, so i took my money elsewhwere!!

Front desk staff not helpful. Very rude. Always broken equipment, bathroom urinal doesn’t even flush. Cables are ALWAYS down. Weights never racked properly or in order. No parking unless you add an extra $10 to your already expensive membership. Managers are complete unhelpful air heads. Facility is a 5/10, staff 3/10. Would not recommend.

I had a really bad outcome in regards to a refund situation. This is after trying the gym for 3 days. Let’s just say.. make sure you FULLY READ their contract and DO NOT ASK THEM QUESTIONS. They will tell you whatever you want to hear for you to sign up. Then when you want to leave they will fully explain the contract to throw it in your face. Well I guess I will take the L in regards to my refund.

I have found a new gym and I am happy! They are honest sweet people! No contract! They are clean and no one tapes you during classes. They have free parking, FF does not. They have air in the classes, FF does not. The smoothies are less expensive than FF And I absolutely adore the classes! So even though I lost my refund I found something better.

Beautiful fully equipped gym with everything you need to get a good workout in. I’ve been to LA Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and Planet Fitness and the quality of the machines are superb, you can tell no expense was spared. As a added benefit you have a lovey view of the saw mill river when on the cardio machines upstairs which is nice. Definitely recommended especially since it’s the only gym in downtown Yonkers.
