I was looking for new ways to build strength after taking standard reformer pilates for a year and this felt like the next step up! Challenging but paced well enough that it made me more determined to get through a future class without needing breaks. I took the Form Your Foundation class with Karen and felt super welcome! Love, love, love this studio and the workouts! I did their intro offer first and was sold so I decided to get a 10-pk of classes because they’re just that good! The app is also so easy to navigate booking classes, cancelling, and buying classes/memberships!
The vibes are amazing from the scent of the studio, to the clean and prepped bathroom (they have hygiene products to touch up), and the pink lights of the studio.
All of my instructors have been so kind too (shout out to you guys you know who you are :p) and they make sure I feel the burn after every workout.
I promise you will not regret going here! They know their stuff, will correct your form, and make sure you enjoy 50 minutes of your day!

As a hybrid athlete, incorporating this class into my rotation will absolutely make me stronger and better! It was intense (but not impossible) and all about control. The coaches are super supportive and motivating. I’m really not an active person and I’ve got a few physical limitations due to medical conditions but they are all very patient and helpful in finding modifications that work for me. It’s also great they are respectful of boundaries and ask for permission to correct your posture/form. Just wish they had more foundation classes!

I understand it’s ‘not pilates’ but it doesn’t allow you to be form focused - IMO; non-stop, no intervals, not even 10 seconds rest, no water breaks, first class they parade you front & center so if you’re nervous for your first time expect to possibly be embarrassed :/ . I’m not sure if it was just the class/instructor I went to (when i was introducing myself to this instructor, I went to shake her hand & she seemed to be off-put by me even doing that ? which made me feel weird because I just trying to build rapport and she obviously did not want to, so everything following was just not comfortable, with that first impression) but I felt so uncomfortable and just wanted to cry multiple times during it. You can’t even hear the instructor trying to ‘teach’ you in your Ear over the music so that’s pointless & just dangerous. Mind you, I was a D1 swimmer(only a year out, I’m 23 years of age, check me out if you want to confirm )/athlete my whole life/have a lot of experience in general in regard to fitness and I can confidently say ‘form your foundation’ is not for beginners or ‘first timers’- at all, and they should be more transparent about that. I think it’s a trendy, fast, money&marketing driven program (won’t last) and staff is obviously nice enough but just awkward and fake energy which you can unfortunately really tell (receptionist). I think it’s cool & a lot of girls seem to like it as its in high demand for ‘waitlist spots’ but not for me & I wish I saw a more full picture review for ‘first timers’ before I tried it - that’s my point here. There was definitely times I felt like I could hurt myself, and I’m not Only talking about form I’m talking about how I felt dizzy & like I was going to pass out halfway because there wasn’t even a 5 second water break - that’s not normal for something like this, and i’ve done crossfit in addition for many summers through college/ had experience with so many intense coaches and intense programs etc., even they have gotten over this old head mentality of that drinking water = makes you weak = what the heck! I’ve found something else in Astoria that I Genuinely get a lot out of & have Perfect instructors so there’s options. I would just recommend reading into their website/FAQ a bit prior & drop in for only One ‘starter’ class before committing. I’ve seen some reviews about how their ‘promotions’ aren’t so clean so just be careful before signing up for long term as well. Not trying to give a ‘bad review’ just want to give some more info for the girls, theys & everyone in between looking into where they should invest their money & time to. I have Never went home from a non-NCAA (=non-voluntary) workout feeling ashamed, embarrassed, and less than like that for such low stakes - I went in just trying to feel better about myself :/ No one should feel like crap in a ‘woman’ presenting group like that, like I did (mostly women btw, there was a man in my class but honestly he made me feel better about myself Lol, but my point is I wasn’t expecting that)
P.S. Your automations need work to say the least, it will help client retention. Whoever Envy is saying they can’t wait to see me in class - it’s very money/marketing driven not people/wellness driven which is extremely off putting for a fitness program. I just don’t get it.

Coach Karen was fantastic! It was my first time trying a reformer class, and she made me feel really supported. She took the time to guide me personally while still leading the class smoothly. Started attending the foundational classes once a week at around 9 months postpartum and let me tell you - they kick my butt but I feel SO strong. Modifications are available (and encouraged) and the coaches are the best hype people! They have class packs available which are a great money saver if you can’t go as often. Honestly hands down BEST BEST Studio in Astoria. Will never switch out for any other. I was so nervous to start and so intimidated and have been on the search for a safe place to go where I felt challenged yet comfortable and luckily for me my first pick with Form50. They are worth every penny. The instructors, the staffs energy is absolutley my favorite part of it all. They are so welcoming, high energy and so sweet to everyone and they know everyone by name and get to know each member that attends the studio. Every class you take there you feel challenged but empowered. Small classes which I love, they make adjustments to form which they ask if your okay with at start of class. Very personal to each member in studio. Love that. The studio manager Evy is the absolute sweetest anything that you need she will walk you through shes the best!!! I've put this off for far too long but wanted to put into words how much I love Form50.
When I started Form50 two-ish years ago, I didn't think I would like it at all. I wasn't one for group classes and never have I worked out on a reformer. After the first class I was immediately hooked. The classes are fun and so effective, I started feeling and seeing changes in my body within a few weeks. A few months ago I took a diving trip and I got so many compliments on my buoyancy control. I've been diving for over 10 years but there has definitely been an improvement since I started at Form50 because of how strong my core has gotten. It's improved my overall strength, confidence, and posture tremendously.
The location manager, Evy, has been such a treat. She's so positive, genuine, and makes everyone feel welcome. I can tell she truly cares about people's fitness goals and is happy to see everyone. All the coaches are incredible and bring a different vibe to the class. I'm very happy to have found Form50 and recommend it to everyone.

Amazing workout! They describe their workout as functional fitness training and that it is! I had ACL surgery end of January of 2023. I was out for almost 8 weeks recovering. In June I decided to give Form50 a shot. Within 2 weeks of going consistently my physical therapist noticed my range of motion improved and my leg muscles were stronger / more defined. It became an addiction going and now almost 7 months in I go almost everyday ! The coaches are also amazing!!! Shout out to Silvia, Steph, Selena, Su, Ashley, Vanessa and Michelle! ♥️♥️♥️

I started Form 50 about a month ago and am really enjoying it so far. I have tried other Pilates classes in the past but have not been consistent because I tend to get lower back pain during or after class. All of the instructors have been extremeley attentive and helpful in modifying moves so that I feel good. This is the most consistent I have been with Pilates and I am already feeling stronger. The classes are getting easier for me to get through with less breaks but still challenging.

I recently renewed my membership for another 6months. Form50 has been the only gym program that I’ve been able to commit to.. and I’ve tried a LOT of program/classes. I have been going consistently 2-3 times a week and I already see and feel a difference. There is 0 running and jumping involved so I never feel uncomfortable. I am stronger and more confident in all my abilities! The coaches are also amazing, sweet and so motivating. No one makes you feel bad for needing a break or not being able to do something. I enjoy the work outs at FORM50! This high impact version of Pilates definitely provides a great challenge and I leave satisfied, feeling like I did something. The staff-from the front desk to the few instructors whose classes I have taken for Form Your Foundation- are nice and welcoming.
Update: I’ve taken over 20 classes and it doesn’t get any easier, which is good because you want to feel like you’re working out. Love this studio!

I started in form50 in May, purchasing a 6-month membership for $339 a month, month after month that amount was charged to my card, they have a policy where if you don't cancel before 12 hours they charge you $25 and if you don't attend the class $49, plus you can't enter after the class has started, those charges would apply, with all that I didn't care, I continued attending my classes almost daily, my contract expired at the end of October, meaning that by November I would have to have a new membership or buy passes if I wanted to continue, right at the end of October I received an email with a promotion for an unlimited membership for 6 months at half price $163, I immediately went to reception where I was asked to update my card and they charged me the corresponding fees, after that I continued attending until two days ago, that is, December 10, more than a month later!! They told me that they made a mistake and that they had canceled my membership, canceling my future classes and the offer for $163 and that if I wanted to continue I had to continue with the $339 one, claiming that I had two memberships. I told them that how is that possible if you were the ones who sold me them on different dates. I also sent an email to find a solution and kindly explained the whole situation and their response was that if I didn't have enough I could buy passes. What kind of customer service is that? I attached images so that you are careful with the poor ethics of certain gyms and false promotions. It is really not worth paying $339 when the routines are the same, they do not offer new routines, they generally repeat the same one for 4 days. With that price you can buy something at Equinox, nor is the training model unique since I found another identical and cheaper one at Ditmars called Lagree in case someone else needs the information.

I absolutely love this place! I tried my very first reformer class at Form 50 and I am not considering going anywhere else. Prior to taking my class, I was a bit intimidated and scared but the instructors and the people are so welcoming and warm-hearted! The instructors will do a brief breakdown on how the machine works and they will spot you throughout the whole class and fix your form! I love how these exercises target muscles you didn't even know exist! Great environment, great workout and great people! Love them so much!

Form50 has shown me a new level of fitness! It has challenged me in a way I never felt before. I hav always done hiit or boot camp style training, anything super fast paced. The slow paced training was very new to me and I enjoy every single class. From the moment I registered, I felt welcomed by the everyone there. I would highly recommend form50 to anyone looking to get a super deep muscle workout, strengthen your core, or work every angle of your glutes. First time trying reformer pilates and I absolutely love this place. They offer mainly two types of classes : ‘Form your foundation’ and ‘Total Body Sculpt’ . If you re new to this I recommend sticking to the foundation classes first but if you wanna challenge yourself definitely do the total body sculpt. I love taking classes with Keely, Evy and Alanna. You will definitely be sore but will get stronger with each class :)

Form50 is a great studio for working out! I enjoyed my first visit so I kept coming back for more. I really like the layout of the studio and how small the class is for a more intimate class. The coaches are great and the music is fantastic! The different classes make it really challenging as well. I personally love the customized reformer the most compared to other companies. I sweat each time I go to a class and I always feel stronger from the last time. I personally love the availability of classes since I can go either really early or late in the evening!

My experience at Form50 has been amazing! I took an intro offer and within the first few classes, the coaches I worked with knew my name. They always bring the energy (and the burn), and it’s such a positive experience each time. The coaches ask if they can do hands-on adjustments, and the classes are challenging, but the coaches will help you scale it into a tough but doable experience if you need an alternative move for an exercise. The playlists are 🔥 and the studio is always clean! I’m already seeing progress in needing fewer breaks and beginning to challenge myself to try the harder moves (even if it’s only for a second before I need a break). If you are someone who is looking for a new form of exercise, this place is definitely worth a try!

This is hands down my favorite workout! I really like that Form50 is friendly for all sizes. The instructors really help everyone in class to make sure they’re doing each move correct and if something doesn’t feel good they always give modified options so you never feel like you can’t do anything. I’ve taken most of my classes with Cheyney and she is my favorite instructor and is always there to help. This place is definitely worth the price and you’ll feel a lot stronger!

Always a really great workout here, I never leave without a sweat. I’ve been to multiple classes at different times of the day with different instructors and each time has been consistently great with good variety in exercises. Each instructor was super friendly and knowledgeable, checking up on you before, during, and after the class. Each instructor also had different focuses during the workout, legs/abs/etc.
One suggestion I would make is that most classes are usually either total body or Form your foundation classes, I think it would be really fun to add in more variety on the types of classes you can take, with classes focusing on different parts of the body.
That being said, I really enjoy taking these classes and that it is predominantly women in each class. Can’t wait to go back!

I was a regular at Form50 from late 2022 until early May 2024 - I can truthfully say this is the best workout studio I've ever been to. I just moved out of Astoria and Form50 is one of the places I will miss the most. If you're nervous about trying it out, please do not be!! This is the most welcoming studio I've tried anywhere in the city. The front desk staff and instructors go out of their way to learn your name and help you with your form. Over the past year or so I've also noticed a dramatic change in my body/muscle tone. I really cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who work there, they truly have something special going on at this location and I will miss it dearly!!

This neighborhood studio is intimate and intense, and always a great workout. It’s the “hard” kinda Pilates that will leave you sore (in the best way), and the instructors are great at watching and correcting form. Bathroom has face wash, deodorant, etc. Book ahead, because classes alway fill up, and bring a towel!

I did not expect to love this place as much as I do— I’m more of a yoga person, but I also love barre and cardio dance, and FORM50 has some of those vibes. Make no mistake— this is a HARD workout, but if I know I have a busy week and can only exercise once, it’s going to be this. I wanted to switch up my routine and add something new, I had walked by this studio a number of times and finally tried it out. I was absolutely humbled by how challenging the workout is and I lift 3x/wk! I was worried I’d feel out of place but the instructors have been so welcoming. They come and help with your form, give you alternatives if you’re struggling, but encourage you to try even a few seconds in the position and to keep going. I decided to shift around my budget to get myself there 1-2x/wk. It is still humbling but has been a great workout that makes me sweat and challenges me every time!

This is definitely the hardest workout class I've ever gone to, but in the best way. I HIGHLY recommend listening to their instruction to go to a Form your foundation class first. I still go to those classes even after multiple because it's always still challenging. The studio is clean and has great vibes. There are definitely some instructors I like better than others, but there's a wide variety so there's a style that will work for anyone! The only thing is that most classes are full so I'm constantly on a wait list and their wait list policy is essential to signing up for the class, so it takes some getting used to.
