THIS IS NOT FOR THE WEAK!
I have taken over 259 classes at Form 50 and I can honestly say my body has never looked/felt better. My posture has significantly improved as well. The entire team have absolutely poured their heart and soul into this place. From the minute, you walk in you are greeted with a smile. Your questions are all answered and no one tries to “sell” you anything. There isn’t a cult like gym where you feel like an outcast. Cough soul cycle cough!

I highly recommend taking Kenny’s class. If you walk out looking and feeling like a drunk baby giraffe learning how to walk then congrats! It’s working! He is absolutely push you mentally, physically, and emotionally. He and the entire team have helped me get my confidence back. However, if pushing your body to the limit and looking your best self is not your thing, I highly recommend taking a yoga class.

Of all the reformer-based classes in NYC, this is the BEST. Energy from the instructors is always great, fantastic upbeat music (love the remixes), and my favorite part is the energy in the room. People come here energized and ready to WORK. I feel like some places you get that “too cool for school” vibe and it’s the complete opposite here.

The sense of community can definitely be felt from check-in to the locker room, and when you’re heading out… this is personally my favorite part of the FORM50 experience.

In my opinion this is better suited for somebody with a strong fitness foundation, but the instructors are very attentive with modifications and hands on adjustments as needed. Perfect if you’re looking for a challenge and to really test yourself.

So happy I found this place.

At first, when I took my very first Forme 50 class, I was totally thrilled. My goal was to work on my core and strengthen my muscles in depth. I was really happy. Then I took several more classes, and little by little I became disappointed because I find the level too advanced. I also do weight training, but I still find the pace way too fast, which means the deep muscle work gets a bit overlooked. It’s too bad. It’s so hard that you end up losing proper technique, and in the end, I feel like the kind of muscle engagement we’re supposed to be targeting just isn’t really there. At the end is more body agitation than real secure deep work muscles.

Form50 is such a supportive and great environment! A great space in the Midtown fitness community.

The class: if you’re familiar with SLT, Solidcore, or Bodyrok, Form50 is similar in terms of the machine and the exercises but with its own twists. I will say, there is often a lot of heavy work at the back of the machine and for this reason the standard format is more challenging than the other brands, even if you are already quite fit. I did not take the Intro classes but think it could be helpful if you are completely new to this kind of workout.

The studio is beautiful, clean, and SPACIOUS—you can wash your face and change after class without feeling like you’re in the way. Mostly, the people who work at the front desk are absolutely the friendliest of any fitness studio I have been to in NYC, and so going to the studio is always fun.

This is the perfect pilates studio, especially if you’re a girl’s girl, like your gal here! Its PERFECT because of: its welcoming, engaging, and uber-friendly instructors and staff (YES, they do hands-on adjustments and walk through the studio taking note of injuries and introducing themselves to newbies and greeting oldies), immaculate facility, reformers, recovery options (including a red light sauna), always-super-clean bathrooms and showers (Malin + Goetz shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair dryers, towels for rent, take-home baggies for sweaty sets), shower lockers, hella lockers outside to go around, shoe racks, and even a lobby lounge to veg out before class starts. They sell Lucky Honey socks here too, as well as refreshments. Everyone I’ve met here lifted each other up, and the overall environment feels safe and inclusive for all levels of pilates princesses and princes. As for the workouts, they are INTENSE — and this is coming from someone who has done Solidcore every day (sometimes twice a day). You can expect multiple army crawls, planks to pikes, and all da shakes during the workout. I’ve been to many pilates/lagree/strength training studios in Manhattan and other cities, and rank FORM50 (Midtown, since I haven’t been to their Williamsburg or Astoria locations) as a TOP studio.

I’ve had such a good experience at Form50. I’ve tried about five Pilates classes in the area and this by far is my favorite experience. Definitely hands-on training.
If you need a tiny correction to help the workout be more effective they sometimes will correct your form physically (with your consent of course) AND IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Great energy and great trainers :)

Form50 is amazing! I was at first a skeptic because I was once obsessed with Pilates 20 years ago, so when I saw this Form50 machine, I thought it was going to be a watered-down version of the original style Pilates class. I was 100% wrong. You can do modified versions of the movements if you are just starting to work out. If you are looking for a challenge, you must add Form50 to your regimen!! I am already a very active person doing weights and bootcamp types of classes, but Form50 really challenges me in ways the other types of workouts do not. You must try it out yourself. You won't be disappointed!

There are a lot of positives here like the clean facility and friendly and high energy instructors, there are some areas that could be improved to make the workouts more effective and accessible though!

The main issue is the sequencing of exercises. Often, there are too many core focused movements in a row, which can be exhausting and counterproductive. Many students (myself included) struggle to maintain proper form or even complete the sets when the same muscle group is overworked without adequate recovery. It would be much more effective if exercises for the same muscles were more spaced out, allowing muscles time to recover before being engaged again. This would improve endurance and strength gains while reducing fatigue-related poor form.

Additionally, some of the routines move too quickly, and many students can’t keep up. Instructors should be more attentive to when participants are struggling, whether from muscle fatigue, difficulty with transitions, or simply needing modifications to be able to adjust the program in the future. Or, if the instructor can adjust the pace or offers alternatives to ensure everyone gets a safe and effective workout without feeling discouraged.

Overall, this studio has great potential, but better exercise pacing and program adjustments would make a big difference in the quality of the classes. I’d love to see more variety in muscle engagement and more modifications offered so that all fitness levels can benefit fully.

One downside is that the studio charges for towels, which feels unnecessary given the already high class prices. Most premium studios include basic amenities like towels in their fees, so this feels nickel and dimey.

Form50 is awesome, they have classes for both beginners and a slightly more advanced class but what I love about both classes is that the instructors always focus on form and take the time at the beginning of each class to write down your name and ask how you are doing, if you have any injuries, etc. My first class was cool because they put a “reserved” sign on my machine so I could be center so the instructor can make sure to keep an eye on me. Personal shoutout to Bre and Selena, my two favorites! I also love that they offer recovery sessions as well and also at the end of every class they take at least 5 minutes to guide you through stretches. The music is great and the energy makes you feel like you’re in Miami. BEST PLACE EVER!!!

I’ve tried nearly every reformer Pilates studio in New York, and I can confidently say that Forum50 holds the top spot in my heart.

What makes it stand out? First of all, the small class size — only about 12 people — allows the instructor to really focus on each student. You get personalized corrections and cues that help you engage the right muscles and improve your form with every session.

The workouts themselves are beautifully structured. In just 50 minutes, you get a full-body workout that feels balanced and complete — no time wasted, just pure strength and toning.

Another thing I love: the studio is brand new, and all the reformers are modern and clean. It’s just genuinely a nice place to be. You feel motivated the moment you walk in — it’s bright, fresh, and welcoming.

That said, I wouldn’t call these classes beginner-level. If you’ve never done any kind of workout before, your first class might feel really tough. But trust me — it’s absolutely worth it.

Give yourself a month. Show up consistently. You’ll be surprised at how strong and defined your body becomes — and how much you start to look forward to your workouts.

I’m obsessed! I was looking for a consistent workout regime that would be more low impact (since I already do high impact workouts like running, volleyball). The workouts vary a lot, so I’m never bored when I go. Of course a lot of emphasis is placed on toning the core, legs and glutes, but it’s always a total body workout, and I like knowing that I’m getting a thorough workout every time.

I love how the classes don’t play overly loud music, so there’s no need for earplugs, and the rest of the studio is very clean and tranquil. The staff is super sweet too! Form50 Fitness Midtown East is conveniently located near my office, and after the intro offer, I was hooked—I immediately bought a 20 class pack and can see myself being a loyal customer for a long time.

Form50 has instantly become my new favorite class! It gives me a burn like no other I’ve felt before. All the instructors are extremely uplifting and have such a good aura and energy that it becomes a very enjoyable environment to work out in. Everyone working at the front desk is so warm and welcoming and always have a smile on their face! They’re also great about making you aware of discounts going on or ways you can take advantage of more classes/amenities. 100% would recommend for someone looking to participate in a group fitness class!

I’m reaching the end of my first month of membership at this location of FORM50, and I couldn’t be happier! This studio checks all my boxes- 1) very clean 2) cute vibes & great music 3) stacked (and very clean) locker room 4) showers!!!. Not to mention the most important of all— the workout! I appreciate the instructor actually asking your name beforehand and making sure that you don’t have any injuries. I’ve done Pilates at Club Pilates for years, and while it stayed true to “traditional” Pilates it was very slow, boring, and not that challenging. After one of these classes, my muscles are shaking, I’ve broken a sweat and I feel like I was actually challenged. If you live/work in Midtown, this studio is 1000% worth a try. SOLIDCORE is close by but they don’t have showers/the other recovery options that FORM50 does, and the class is just as hard. The cherry on top is the staff, who are so friendly and encouraging. While all memberships everywhere are super expensive these days, this one is worth the price point with the studio experience and workout you get.

Really loving Form50! I started with the 2 ‘new client’ classes and got hooked! The instructors are great - I’ve loved everyone I’ve had so far - Stephanie N, Stephanie D, Cheyney - they all take the time to meet you and introduce themselves, walk around the room and help your form. It’s amazing how one slight form adjustment can completely improve your workout. The classes have great energy with clear instructions but you can modify and go at your own pace if needed. (I’m not a fan of studios where they just yell commands so quick you don’t even know what they’re telling you to do.) You really feel the workout every time. After 5 classes I’m already seeing and feeling results. I’ve since bought multiple class packages and look forward to working out now! The studio also feels new and it’s super clean.

Form 50 is hands down one of the best Pilates studios out there! I’ve taken about 5 classes at the Midtown Branch, and I’m already seeing a difference in my body. I’ve even been getting compliments at work! Simple things, like taking the stairs at subway stations, are so much easier now.

The studio itself is fantastic—equipped with lockers, super clean bathrooms, and an amazing staff. Shoutout to Quin for being such a great coach; I can’t wait for her to return in April! The studio has around 15 reformers, which I think is the perfect size for the instructor to provide personalized corrections on posture.

Booking classes through their app is so easy, and I genuinely look forward to these 50 minutes—it’s the best part of my day. Highly recommend!

I am so happy to see two additional locations, which means more opportunities to take classes! The form your foundation classes are geared towards beginners in a way many other studios “beginner” classes are not (in a good way), while also still giving you a SOLID work out. For a beginner like me, the environment is not at all intimidating and allows for you to take the workout at your own pace/modify when needed. The instructors have all been great and upbeat. While I’ve only been to a couple classes, I’ve really been enjoying them and feel determined to strengthen my body through these classes and with these instructors. I was a bit nervous and self conscious at first, but truly the coaches here do not judge you and they really have your best intentions in mind I believe. They may push hard but in a way that’s still very encouraging and really challenges me to strengthen not only my physical capabilities but also my mental strength and internal discipline. These coaches are really knowledgeable and it shows. They’re also very caring and make sure you’re feeling okay before class gets started.

They’re also a lot of fun! Such great energy and it really keeps people motivated I think. It’s not going to be an easy 50 minutes but it will be worth your time. I make a lot of mistakes but I’ve been learning a lot about proper form and techniques and each class I absolutely try my best and despite the intensity, I find myself making another class reservation.

If you find yourself wanting to develop more discipline, mental and physical strength, and even boosting your self confidence! - I would give From50 a try, you may very well likely find yourself becoming a regular.

between the slower movements and bursts of cardio at Form50. Also appreciate the cooldown at the end of class. Every instructor l've taken has been super hands on and attentive. The vibes in the studio are great, dark but not too dark so you can see the instructor. Everything in the studio is very clean and new, there are plenty of lockers to put your stuff in! I know they have additional facilities such as the infrared sauna but haven't had a chance to try that out. If you're up for a lovely challenge, totally recommend trying this out!

Form50 has set a high bar in their other locations and this studio is clearly a flagship. There are many amenities including, a sauna, red light therapy and a full locker room with plenty of showers. The staff is welcoming and friendly and have all been with the brand for multiple years; they will work with you hands on to make sure that your form is proper and you are getting the most out of your workout. The formformer studio room has great sound and lighting. I much prefer these machines over solidcore and the many forms of the "megaformer". Absolutely LOVED this pilates studio, it's so refreshing!!! It's brand new, very clean and the decor is beautiful. The check in process was super easy and the girls at the desk were so helpful. The locker rooms have showers and nice ameneties which makes it super convenient to get ready before going to work. The music was 10/10 and I was sore for daysss!!!
