This gym is my happy place. Friendly environment with all patrons I've met; the facility is typically clean; there is a wide variety of machines to use; a basketball court and more. MWR offices are located inside, so you can visit them as well. If I had to change one thing, it would be the hours of operation, or an extension of after-hours access to retirees. I served over 20 years on Active Duty, yet I am unable to access the gym after 1700 on weekdays, after 12 noon on Saturdays and not at all on Sundays. Overall, great gym and thankful to have one on this side of the Verrazzano.

For once something better than the commercial gyms. Hours are not the best since they close early but it'll do. And this is actually a decent sized gym with a lot of real equipments

The pictures for hours of operation are either outdated or for the small boat station.
I live here and use the gym daily.
Hours are
Mon-fri 0600-1700
Sat 0800-1200 (if the duty person does their job)
Sun closed
If your stationed here and approved by your command, the two pictures I posted of a room with windows and small room with medicine balls are 24hr access with validated CAC

Quiet Coast Guard base right off the Verrazano bridge which provides DOD members on staten island with convenient amenities such as the exchange and the USO.
