I joined Girl Fight Fitness the end of April of this year (2025). I have tried other fitness programs in the past and had horrible experiences. Never had results, and the trainers did not work with “all” fitness levels, which to be honest at that time my fitness level was non existent. I can honestly say joining GFF has been the best decision that I have made for myself in my health journey! I have been challenged but never left feeling defeated. The trainers are fantastic and so supportive. They truly pay attention to you, ask you if you have any injuries so that they can modify the workout for you! You can tell that they want you to be successful/empowered. I have been attending 3 classes/ week while working a full time job and I can’t believe how much I continue to look forward to going to class! I am feeling so much better physically. I am liking the person in the reflection again and love how strong and flexible I have become! I don’t suffer from aches and pains anymore and my confidence is back! Can’t thank you enough for having this program available in our area! Huge shout out to all the trainers especially Paula, Jenelle, Lucy and Karen! I hope you all know how much you are appreciated <3

Such an empowering atmosphere! And you're not just a name on a class roster. I've been doing classes with Girl Fight since February and I'm on a first name basis with all the coaches for the classes I regularly attend. They make the classes engaging and challenge you. They also switch up exercises and class formatting to keep things from being monotonous.
I tried the at home workouts and struggled because no one would hold me accountable. With the girl fight classes, I've been able to consistently attend classes for 8 months straight, lose 20 pounds, and feel stronger than I have in years. Highly recommend Girl Fight!

As an obese 60+ yr old, I wasn't sure this would be for me, but I was so wrong. The focus on warming up and stretching has prevented me from being sore after workouts - in fact, I feel great!

Hello everyone My name is Becca I join Girls Fight Fitness about a couple months ago, and let me tell you it was the best thing I've ever done. I've had a lot of challenges in my life and I am still continuing to get challenges and girl fight fitness keeps me in shape where I need to be and Stacy and Amanda help with that. They are very kind patient outgoing women. I've had cancer three times before I started Girl fitness fight and other health issues that they are aware of yet they still took me on at girl fight fitness lol. Even now it's one thing after another and there they are Stacy and Amanda standing strong behind me giving me the push that I need to keep going on. I'm not a quitter and I love a challenge and this is definitely a challenge there's no getting bored here So thank you so much Stacy and Amanda for all your help and patience and if you're looking for a good place to get in fit for people to stand behind you this is it. All the coaches are wonderful we're a big family there and I love it.
Sincerely,

Been with Girlfight Fitness since the beginning. 10 years! Longest I’ve ever stayed at a gym. My favorite thing about this place is nobody judges you. We are all at different levels in fitness but we all come together as a family. Getting stronger every day❤️

I have gone to Girl Fight a few times over the years and had to quit because life got in the way. I just started back and love the stress relief the 530 am classes gets out before I have to go to work. Kickboxing is my favorite way to work out!

I used to belong to another kickboxing studio, but they closed in 2022. I had tried a few different places, but none compared. When I took my first class at Girl Fight, I knew I had found my fit! Although the classes are a different format than I was used to, I still get the workout I need. The instructors are supportive and the owners Amanda and Stacy will check in periodically via text to see how things are going. I love the environment and always feel good when I finished a class.

I joined Girl Fight after seeing an ad on Facebook for a free week. The first day was really hard. And I thought it wasn’t going to be for me. But I didn’t give up. I went back every day and after that week I joined. I’ve become more confident and stronger physically and mentally! Best choice I ever made!

Girl Fight Fitness – Where Sweat Meets Sass!
If you're looking for a place to punch stress in the face and have a blast doing it, Girl Fight Fitness is it! From the moment I walked in, the energy was electric—like an 80s Rock Concert, but with gloves and roundhouse kicks.
The workouts are no joke (you will sweat), but the vibe is so fun and empowering that you actually look forward to showing up. The instructors? Total rockstars. They hype you up, correct your form, and, I can't belive I'm saying this, but somehow make burpees feel less evil.
It’s not just about fitness—it’s about feeling strong, confident, and part of a badass community of women who lift each other up. Whether you’re throwing your first punch or a seasoned ninja, you’ll feel right at home.
Girl Fight isn’t just a workout—it’s a mood. 10/10, would kickbox again.

I drove by Girl Fight Fitness every day, wondering if that gym was going to be different? I have wasted my money on gym memberships and never went because I didn’t know what to do and was overwhelmed by all the machines. Plus, walking on the treadmill is boring.
One day, I decided to talk my friend into doing an introductory week at Girl Fight Fitness, and we were hooked! The coaches are amazing! They help you with every move, know you by name, and root you on!
Plus, every class is different, never boring. I was a person that never worked out in my life, and at 53, I’m working out 3 times a week! I love going to the gym! Girl Fight Fitness has changed my life!
I almost forgot to mention…punching a bag is a huge stress reliever!!

I started with Girl Fight in August and I absolutely love it! Each class and instructor offer something different and fun, and they make it so it's truly able to be done by any body and any fitness level! I love that the owners check in with you weekly - it really makes me feel included & it's great knowing that everyone is in your corner to help you achieve your goals! It's truly an incredible community. I think the best thing I've done for myself this year is sign up for the free intro class. If you've been considering signing up and needed a sign - this is your sign!

Girl Fight is a top-notch gym for women of all ages and conditions. The trainers are great at checking on each member to modify exercises as needed, and the atmosphere is fun, energetic, and positive. This is the best option for women who don't like traditional gyms and find other workouts tedious. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

It’s hard to put into words the experience I have had since joining Girl Fight Fitness. The love and support you receive from everyone there is amazing to say the least. All of the trainers have been so welcoming, they are knowledgeable, and they make you feel comfortable. Each class is a little different but always fun, achievable, and sweat filled. Coming here was a huge step outside my comfort zone (I usually just workout in my living room). I leave each class with my head held high feeling confident, motivated, and boost in my self esteem. On top of all this, I was recently diagnosed with, and started treatments for breast cancer. Stacey, Amanda, all of the coaches, and other members have been so supportive through this time. Girl Fight Fitness is so much more than a gym. It’s a community of strong, brave, sassy women and I absolutely love it!

Recently inquired about a membership for my daughter and myself. Website was very vague in membership details and basically the only useful information were the reviews on the site.
They have you complete a standard inquiry about goals and commitment levels and reach out by text. There were a few personal questions listed but not too many. Still no membership details.
The first text I received asked me to add more goals, as if my own goals were not enough. 2nd & 3rd text wants me to reach out to give more information about have I been there before, more random questions and no answers.
Finally I reach out just asking simply, is there any info on the memberships available. I’m immediately told most people don’t qualify for their gym and I need to try to “qualify” for the gym. Then they basically said that unless I’m spinning my wheels with struggle to work out, we can’t join. The website said no judgment but that’s exactly how I felt. I completed a questionnaire explaining my personal reasons for wanting to join a gym, only to be judged and dismissed. I’m glad I didn’t bring my daughter here. This has nothing to do with commitment level or your own personal goals. They couldn’t care less, in my experience. Just one public opinion.
If your looking for a gym to join that is positive and open minded don’t go.

I’d been stuck in a rut trying to find something I could/would stick to. I went to so many different gyms hoping I would love it and find the support I needed to get through the workout. I found myself going to the gym and trying to “do it on my own”. This would last a couple of weeks and I would find myself slowly petering out and not continuing. I then heard about Girl Fight Fitness. They offered a free trial and training with Amanda and Stacey and other women who signed up for the trial. I instantly saw something different, I was having FUN! I went to my first real class with many women, of all ages, shapes, and sizes, who instantly welcomed me. (This surprised me, the camaraderie and the lack of feeling insecure like at most gyms) In no time I had made friends and found they were willing and wanting to help me with my moves. They offered to partner up with me and show me things I wasn’t fully grasping in the routines. And Stacey’s weekly check in kept me knowing that even if not hitting the perfect moves the fact that I am moving is good and getting towards my goals. On top of all that, the coaches are absolutely WONDERFUL! These people really truly care and they will challenge you when they know you can do more (even if you don’t know you can). I haven’t had a single regret in joining this community. I am stronger (physically and mentally) and I am seeing improvement in my cardio workouts (something with asthma is not an easy thing for me). I knew this was for me when my husband commented on how much he noticed I really liked it. When I get home from class, I am exhilarated and bragging to him about my new accomplishments and showing him my badass moves. He wants to join too, but “Sorry hon, this is women only!”

I was hooked from my first orientation class! As a member, you get consistent check ins in addition to the classes which help me feel valued and consistent. The classes are so fun and an amazing workout. The trainers are great — I have a preexisting back injury that they easily modify for — and positive. All the other members I have classes with are so encouraging and kind, and make the gym environment feel very safe. All that and punching that bag really helps get the stressors out 😂

Three months ago I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new by joining Girl Fight Fitness and I’m so happy I did! Every class is different, a great workout that makes you challenge yourself while also being very enjoyable. The trainers are amazing, they take the time to teach you proper technique & form while prioritizing what’s best for you. After paying for memberships to gyms I never actually had the motivation to go to, I am so happy I took this step. I always look forward to the next class and I feel stronger and more confident because of them!

I joined Girl Fight in March and it has been great so far. I’m 53 and menopause has been kicking my butt and causing me to gain a lot of weight but now I’m kicking back. Literally. The workouts are a lot of fun and everyone is friendly and wants you to succeed. There are ladies of all shapes, sizes and ages and there is no judgement. The trainers are great and the owners check up on you weekly to make sure you are keeping up with your goals. This is exactly the place that I was looking for and I definitely recommend it to everyone! It’s great for any level. They will get you started and keep you going because they actually care!!

I joined Girl Fight Fitness as a way to hold myself accountable with my activity level. My only regret is not joining sooner. Previously I found workout class settings to be intimidating and competitive, here they are nothing but fun. Every coach is excited to help and also encourages me to challenge myself. Girl Fight Fitness has helped me feel proud of what my body can do. The community and resources are truly like no other.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Girl Fight Fitness, especially after the positive review I left last year after being asked to write one. At the beginning of this year, I paid in full for a membership of 50 classes, after having paid and attended all of 2024. However, shortly after purchasing my membership, I went through an incredibly painful and unexpected life event: I discovered my spouse had been unfaithful, and I was forced to leave our shared home and relocate to a different part of the state, 3 hours away. This meant I could no longer access the gym due to distance.
Despite explaining my situation — which is already difficult enough without having to beg for understanding — the gym refused to offer any form of reimbursement, even partial. I never used the membership once this year, and yet they were unwilling to offer any solution other than agreeing to “transfer" it to someone else or "donate" my classes. To say this response felt cold and dismissive is an understatement. The one friend I had in mind to transfer to has refused the offer given the circumstances, as they do not wish to support a business that operates in this way.
What should have been a place of support and empowerment for women felt, instead, completely transactional and heartless. Which as you can see from my original review is far from how I felt before all of this. I understand policies exist for a reason, but there are moments when humanity should take precedence. This was one of those moments, and unfortunately, Girl Fight Fitness chose to look the other way.
If you’re considering joining, just know that once they have your money, compassion ends there — no matter what life throws your way.

I joined Girl Fight this past December and it's easily been the most enjoyable gym experience I've ever had! Kickboxing is such a fun way to work out and even in a few short months it's helped me feel more confident/assertive and I feel great physically after each workout. I was slightly nervous at first since I'd never picked up boxing gloves besides a short session in gym class many years ago, but the trainers are so positive and encouraging, and make sure to take the time to help you improve your technique no matter how busy each class is. Scheduling is also very easy and they are very accommodating with any time you might need to take off. There are also specialized classes such as self defense which are fun and informative. I'm looking forward to continuing to workout and feel the progress in improving my fitness level!

I am someone who loathes exercise. I’d rather fill out tax forms than go for a run. I’ve tried every workout trend, and none of them stuck very long—until I found this all-women’s kickboxing gym. Now, I do the unthinkable: I look forward to working out.
Every class is different (no dreaded workout déjà vu here), and the energy is contagious. The instructors? Fantastic. The members? Supportive and welcoming. The experience? Like therapy, but with punching.
I never thought I’d say this, but I genuinely love this place. So if you’re a fellow exercise-hater, do yourself a favor—give it a shot. You just might become that person who actually enjoys working out. I sure did.

Girl Fight Fitness exceeds my expectations! Was quite random to even try kick boxing. I've not had much luck with gym classes before, lots of hesitation with being able to keep up and/or be doing the exercises correctly. Each class has been a safe place to learn and try. Encouraging with a good balance of accountability and random playlists!

I joined GFF in July of 2024, I quickly realized I may have just found something different here. I’m what I would call nonathletic in nature, I was POSITIVE I would never ENJOY working out, and shall I say a bit shy and easily embarrassed in these situations. What was different you are asking right?!
EVERYTHING. 1st and most importantly THE PEOPLE! Everyone is kind, they cheer you on …. What?!.. Yess!! The trainers are gracious and kind ( in a trainer way) 😊 . The PEOPLE make you want to return more days than your body.. if it’s like mine… will allow you to. They have everything from Kickboxing to Strength Training, Stretching to Yoga for Kick box, even a recently added a “Get Mad” class. People who previously told me that exercise would decrease my insanely high stress level I would have eye rolled. Get ready for the cheesy parts… IT HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. I have joint disease, had barely any muscle mass, low self-esteem, a high stress job, and lacking in the getting out and about dept for a couple of years. I needed to change big time, or I wasn’t going to be able to keep up with day to day activities eventually . GFF changed it all. I’m “that girl” now. The one who can’t wait for my next class, can’t wait to meet up with the people I work out with. When I’m stressed, I say to myself I better get over to the gym. I am now getting much stronger, my diet is so much better, my mental health has COMPLETELY changed. They do what they say they will do for you here as long as YOU want it to. I hope I’ve convinced you that if I can do it, anyone can do it TRUST ME. Oh, and great music 😊 Always great music 😊

Best investment I've made for myself in years! I was looking to get back into boxing or kickboxing after over 5 years away from it.
I love the full body workout that they have incorporated into kickboxing drills. I prefer Southpaw, so the switch up is perfect for me. Annnd the strength training is one of the best I've had in years.
As a professional, my schedule is ALWAYS full, so having flexible class options is a HUGE plus for me.
Everyone is supportive, with weekly check-ins from the founders, Amanda and Stacey (an extra special plus you won't get from many places). And plenty of like minded women to workout beside😊
If you are concerned about getting your money's worth, you will!
Once I made up my mind to join, my daughter followed immediately! We're both loving it and feeling our strength and confidence build with each class!
Stop thinking about joining and just do it!

I was looking for a place for kickboxing boxing and found Girl Fight. The coaches are friendly, the workouts are challenging - but in a feel good way! They offer times in the morning and evening, in manageable class sizes. They offer a supportive environment no matter where you are at in your fitness journey. In January 2024, I was looking for a workout that I'd actually enjoy, and a positive, women-only space. When I joined Girl Fight Fitness, I immediately found both! I've had numerous gym memberships and taken lots of fitness classes over the years, and this was the first time in ages where I truly enjoy the classes and look forward to going. The classes and routines are challenging and varied, and the instructors are great, offering adaptations for women at all levels of fitness while bringing an atmosphere of encouragement. The women in the classes support each other and have fun, even if our muscles are jelly at the end of each session! Congrats to Amanda and Stacey for creating such a positive place to kick butt!

Oh snap, I can do this kickboxing thing! I joined Girl Fight Fitness after many years of paused exercise because of health issues or taking care of my small children. In deciding to take care of myself I wanted something more unique than simply going to your average gym. That's where I found Girl Fight Fitness. It's anything but average. There are tons of great options for classes and no two kickboxing classes are the same. The coaches have been encouraging, understanding, and empowering. I look forward to going (which is half the battle.) The owner's Amanda and Stacey are supportive and communicative. I am not on a weight loss journey, I'm on a journey to slowly better myself, and they get that! They check in and offer help and guidance when needed, but are not overpowering. This is a group I'm very happy to be a part of. 💪

Girl fight fitness has changed my life drastically! That’s not an exaggeration. In March of 2024 I had finally had enough of being big and miserable. I searched for female gyms as that was the only way I knew I would feel comfortable beginning this journey that I have tried so many times in the past years. I lost myself a bit around 2017, without going into detail I gained over 100lbs. 😑 I had never been as big and unfit mentally as well as physically as I had become. I tried every diet trend there was and had little improvement. So when I came across girl fight I took a leap and filled out the form. From the orientation alone I knew I was going to enjoy coming to classes! Stacey and Amanda were so welcoming and accepting. We even told short stories at the orientation about what had brought all of us to girl fight. Upon starting I had meetings weekly with Stacey (life coach) and then also Sammy (nutrition coach) weekly. All included in membership costs! Fast forward to now, I’m over 100 classes in and it’s been worth every penny. The environment, the coaches, the owners, not a complaint what so ever. They work with you as individuals just as much as a group. It’s also drastically helped me in my life outside of the gym. I got my mental health under control for the first time in a very long time. I’ve lost 67 lbs to date! Stacey and Amanda are awesome people, very personable and just all around in this business to help females become the best version of themselves. Now, don’t get me wrong, YOU have put in the work and show up for yourself. They cannot do that for you. It was extremely hard at first being so heavy, but the high you get after class kept me coming back again and again. I actually had no doubt in my mind this was right for me because when it came time to sign up I signed up for a whole year! Hell classes are still difficult sometimes, but I need that, I want that! I wanna feel myself getting stronger! I never get deep on social media etc. so this is a testament to the difference this gym and its owners has made in my life, as I’m sure many others as well. So all that being said, if you’re unsure about going to a gym, don’t feel comfortable or motivated… give them a try, I can almost guarantee you will enjoy it. “Be comfortable, being uncomfortable.” - anonymous

This has been a place where I learned how strong I truly am, and finally got myself committed to exercising regularly. Ive always been the person to try planet fitness or other local gyms for a month or two and then bailed because of lack on encouragement on my end/not sure what to do when I get there. Girl Fight has given me a routine with workouts that are never the same, and a support system that I never knew I could have (whether thats from the trainers or the other people working out). I didn’t know I could ever enjoy working out, and it’s all thanks to Amanda and Stacey for giving me the space to do so. Even when life gets crazy and I miss classes, I am never chastised. I am checked on to make sure things are okay, and asked if there’s anything that the trainers can do on their part to help me get back into my routine. I love the support system I’ve been given, and wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you have ever felt like me and need a fresh start to your fitness journey, girl fight will have your back.

Started coming here a couple weeks ago after moving to the city and to get some fitness in my day since I WFH. The change I’ve already seen in my body is indescribable. I feel much more energetic throughout the day, my stress levels have gone down, I’m way happier. I even bought some at-home gym equipment to get some exercise in between classes. I get so excited to get to class every week, it’s done wonders for getting me back into some consistent activity.
The instructors are amazing and give each person their 1:1 attention and are always down to chat after class. I’ve had Paula more than any other instructor and she’s the best. Love every one of her classes. The owners Stacey and Amanda check in regularly and really care about your fitness journey!!! It’s such a supportive and uplifting environment, even when they challenge you in class.
Could not recommend this place enough. This is the most comfortable and confident I’ve felt in a gym setting in a while. There’s an immediate comfort in the class, even on your first day in the studio, that drew me in and continues to hold me. Best place ever!!!!

I always wanted to start a new type of workout, I heard of kickboxing but i immediately thought of a small gym filled with power lifters and expert bodybuilders ( mainly men). I was reluctant to find girl fight fitness where i feel like a part of a community and a sense of empowerment. It was worth the money and the investment into myself, the women there are amazing and motivating, I wouldn't want it any other way! This is a new avenue for me, I'm happy to say I'm a girl fight fitness member. 💪🏽

I've been going to Girl Fight for a few years and I LOVE it. Each workout is different so it never gets boring. There are women all shapes & sizes and you never feel judged like going to a big franchise gym. Yes, it's more then a $20 membership, but you get what you pay for. Girl Fight is a community. They have done fundraisers to help fellow members out in a time of need, theirs different workshops they offer, they donate every month, it's a more intimate atmosphere and they care! I'll be saddened when I move b/c I know I won't find another gym like Girl Fight.

So when I first started at Girl Fight, I hadn't worked out since college and I hated the thought of going to a gym, making my own workout, and feeling judged. At the time I was struggling with my health both physical and mental. Since joining girl fight, I have seen a drastic change. I'm happier during the day after working out and I feel stronger each time. When I started I couldn't even do a push up on my knees and now I can and even completed Coach Peter's D10 push TWICE which has lots of push ups in it. Recently I was struggling with not seeing much change on the scale, and Stacey sat down with me and we talked about nutrition. I love the support and accountability. I'm so happy I found this gym and while other gyms I probably would've quit by now, this is now a self care item that I look forward to every time.

I have only been with Girlfight fitness for five weeks now and in that five weeks I have grown so much with a better education in fitness and the importance of everything else that comes along with it. Everything was explained to me upfront and yes so was the monthly fee that I'm responsible for. With that being said, I'm so happy to have this new fit family in my life, it is the best decision I have made for my fitness goals and mental health as well. Thank you ladies for being so committed to this awesome program keep kicking ass.

The workouts here are fun, and will kick your butt. Great coaches. This is the no-judgement zone that Planet Fitness could never be. Also, what gym checks in with you regularly to see how you are doing and if they can help?
They understand women and even were okay with letting me put my membership on hold while I was pregnant and could not exercise due to vomiting. I was able to start right back up again when I was ready. That kind of understanding and kindness is how GF goes above and beyond for their members.
As much as I love the kickboxing I also love getting to do yoga once a week on Sunday to reset mentally and physically for the new week ahead.

I wish I could give Girl Fight Fitness a better review, but unfortunately, this place feels like nothing more than a scam. I was paying $196 a month, and for that price, you’d expect top-notch service and unlimited classes—but that’s not the case. The class offerings aren’t even unlimited, which is shocking given how much they charge.
They lure you in with promises of package deals that include fitness training and nutrition guidance, but what you actually get is disappointing at best. The so-called “nutrition guidance” is just a few generic text messages here and there—definitely not worth the hefty price tag.
The quality of the equipment is also a joke. The gloves they provide are cheap and flimsy, and there’s no real value for the amount of money you’re paying. The place is extremely overhyped during the sign-up process, but once you’re locked in, you quickly realize you’re being scammed.
For what you’re paying, this place should be comparable to high-end gyms, but honestly, it should cost more like Planet Fitness. There’s nothing special about Girl Fight Fitness, and the service certainly doesn’t match the price. I can see why they’re desperate for my money—they’re not earning it through the quality of their offerings.
Save yourself the hassle and the money. Look elsewhere!

I started GFF as a guest in a trial week, and turned into a member in less than two classes. Walking into my first class I was super nervous as one would be.. within two minutes of class I was so calm and hooked. The atmosphere in there, from the coaches to the people are amazing. Everyone is so welcoming, positive, and they push you in the best way possible. This is truly a judgment free zone that holds you to the goal you set out for. GFF fosters such a positive community that encourages and holds women accountable for their goals. There has not once been a time where I felt judged even if I did not know how to do something. The trainers and even Stacey and Amanda have been extremely involved in my goals and that is not something you can find anywhere else. I am grateful I took the next step and became a member…not just another number in a gym. Every workout and trainer is different which allows me to try new things. I can truly feel myself getting stronger and having more endurance each class. This is a place where I see a future in continuing to meet my goals!

I joined Girl Fight shortly after it first opened in Latham, NY. After a year, I took a long break but every time I drove by, I missed it. After hearing me say I missed it for years, my husband encouraged me to rejoin. I was impressed by the added services (nutrition planning, life coaching) and Girl Fight has become more than just a gym to me. It's a judgement free space that feeds body, mind, and soul. I'm so glad to be back.

If you're looking to change your lifestyle and focus on healthy eating and exercising habits, and not focus on the number on the scale to determine how "healthy" you are, this is the place to be. From day one, everyone, including Amanda (owner) and Sami (nutritionist), it is very clear that they want us to get stronger and create balance with eating and exercising, and not focus on the fastest way to lose weight. I have been a member for over 6 months and love every minute of this place! You start off with a 6 week program, which includes 3 intense kickboxing and strength building workouts a week, and regular nutritionist meetings to discuss diet goals and progress. The trainers are amazing and are understanding of everyone's limitations, but motivate us to challenge ourselves to become stronger. Over the last 6 months, I have not stepped on the scale, rather noticed a more toned physique, better fitting clothes, and have increased my baseline kettle bell from 15 lbs. to 25 lbs. I measure my progress in my ability to perform the workouts, like I can hold a plank for at least 45 seconds (finally!). Sami has helped me eat a more balanced diet, focusing on how to add and balance meals over a period of time, rather than hyperfixating on "healthy" and "unhealthy" meals. I have never been consistent with eating and working out like I've been since I joined this gym. The cost per class is much more affordable than a private personal training session. More importantly, Amanda has created an incredibly supportive and positive environment to help establish consistent, realistic, and, newly defined, healthy habits, and all the trainers are on the same page. I would highly encourage anyone looking to have a healthy relationship with food and exercise to join ASAP!

Do you ever feel like you’re about to embark on something exciting and invigorating? That’s how I felt joining Girl Fight. I could never stick with a gym, never keep up the motivation to be active, eat right and be healthy. For one, I didn’t know where to start or how to do anything. Girl fight changed all that. It’s so refreshing to be in environment where you know you’re cared for and cared about. The classes will give you a hell of a work out and meeting with a nutritionist is game changing. It’s a community for women to be themselves as they try to better themselves. This is a holistic approach to fitness that you can’t get at any regular gym. Join girl fight, you won’t regret it.

Let me start by saying GF fitness is everything you would want it to be. They'll stay in touch, keep tabs on your progress, motivate you, and they're always there to help with any concerns. Every trainer has their own method so each class will be different from the one before. If you think it's expensive, just know that it's worth every penny. After having my daughter a year ago, I lost all motivation and didn't feel the excitement of working out again. GF fitness definitely brought that excitement and crave for the gym back. All the trainers there are amazing!

If I could give more stars I would. I suffer with depression and anxiety (especially with new people and situations) but GFF is NOT like any gym around. I walk in and instantly feel comfortable and welcomed and I always feel like I belong, like it’s my place, and that’s just the atmosphere. The workouts can be intense and challenging at first if you’ve been inactive and out of shape as I was, but with the attentive guidance of the coaches and encouragement of your classmates, makes every class worth it. You will walk out of each and every class feeling like a new woman, sweating away all the frustrations and anxiety of the day and ready to take on any challenges you might have to deal with till your next class.

Girl Fight has completely (positively) changed my attitude towards workout classes and exercising in public. Its supportive, non-judgmental environment allows me to concentrate on my own actions freely and to prioritize my individual needs/goals. Girl Fight has been such an incredible gift to me this year. Like many people, my weight and my overall health yo-yoed massively during the pandemic. I was never able to stick with a fitness routine for more than a few months and traditional gyms were not cutting it for me. Looking for something different, I came across Girl Fight Fitness and never looked back. The workouts are challenging but not overly difficult, the instructors are encouraging, and the members are all genuinely kind and supportive. I’ve been a member of Girl Fight for about two years now. I’ve gone to both locations in Latham and Glenville. What I love about this gym is that it is not a typical gym.I feel like the trainers actually care about me and my experience. I always leave feeling better about myself. At other gyms I feel like a failure and that I can’t do the workouts. At Girl Fight there are always modifications so I always feel successful with my workout. Now that I have been working out here for awhile the trainers know me and I love the fact that they will push me to do my best because they know what I am capable of. Also Amanda, the owner, takes time out of her day to check in with me especially if I haven’t been to class in a while. There are many different classes to choose from so I never get bored and I’m always getting a great workout. Since COVID happened, online classes have been offered. I LOVE these because I have absolutely no excuse not to work out. I can do it from the comfort of my own home yet still get personal attention and I’m motivated because it is a live class. There is also a food therapy class run by Sami. This has really opened my eyes to some of my issues with eating. The other thing that Girl Fight offers is weight loss competitions. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING these competitions are. They hold me accountable and I can win CASH!! Girl Fight has helped me become stronger and healthier. It is not just a place to work out but a place where I am fully supported to maintain a healthy lifestyle!

I started going to Girl Fight in Latham upon the recommendation of a coworker back in February before the world went crazy with COVID! Did some research before to be prepared - what to wear, gloves to use, basic punches etc. to avoid feeling too overwhelmed. Amanda, the owner texted me numerous times and answered all my questions without hesitation before I even stepped foot in the gym! Was I nervous? sure, but did it and from day 1 with Jeanna - was incredibly helpful! Asked if I was new, introduced me to the group, helped me with moves, punches and definitely modifications for every move but not once did I feel singled out because she offered variations of every move to the whole group to pick what you were ready to tackle! Was it hard and confusing - of course but, I’d also never done anything like this before and truly for the first time my doubts and fears about being to participate in a group fitness class lessened. Amanda even texted me that evening to ask how my first class went! Then COVID hit and Amanda and all the (really amazing) trainers quickly pivoted to online content and support to make sure all the Girl Fight members were getting what they needed. While not my ideal, it worked and was better than nothing! But, for the first time in my life I had found an exercise that I really liked and didn’t want to quit because of this change. So I stuck it out and logged on - and surprisingly found that some days (especially in the winter) online content was great. There were varied classes offered at many time throughout the day/evening to help accommodate everyone’s schedules. In an effort to maintain and build community during the toughest times when people were feeling really isolated there were happy hours, games nights, cooking classes... Pretty sure that wasn’t happening at your big box gyms 😂. So fast forward we were able to reopen for in- person classes and while it took me a while to feel comfortable going back, when I did, I felt incredibly safe - the space was set up for ample distance between each person, an over-abundance of cleaning procedures in place before/during/after - just to be sure! Although with masks we could only see partial faces, it was so good to see people and faces again and start to rebuild that community! Amanda had really great controls in place including screening each person at entry and locking the door at start time to assure those that were screened, that no unscreened members came in - definitely gave me piece of mind. So I’ve been going to Girl Fight primarily in Latham for just about a year and a half! Each trainer has their own unique spin, energy and approach. There are many different class offerings to suit your needs, but this is also to help you grow and learn new things to help you get stronger 💪🏼 I have never felt singled out, rather incredibly supported. Yes, the moves are hard but they get easier with time and strength - just like anything new. Even after a year and a half, I just re-took a fundamentals class which helped me refine my positions and how I was doing different floor and bag moves - which was so helpful. There is always something to be learned if your open to it! The ladies of Girl Fight I have found are an incredibly caring, supportive group of “kick-ass” women and if you give it a shot I think you’d find the same thing! From Day 1 Amanda has gone out of her way to make sure my experience was a good one and if there ever was an issue or question there was no hesitation in contacting me or responding to a request! You may look at the cost and think it’s too much - but it’s your health and so worth it - I surely spent far more per day in a restaurant or drive-thru! But, you get what you pay for! So with nutrition, lifestyle change and Girl Fight Fitness, I have managed to lose about 175# and make so many other gain including feeling better than I have in 20+ years. I’m 52 years old and take 10 classes per week and I am grateful for that first day I mustered the courage to walk through that door!!

Since joining Girl Fight, I can’t remember the last time I dreaded going to the gym! The space is SO clean. They implemented extra cleaning procedures for the pandemic that they have kept in place since restrictions were lifted. The workouts are incredible, I have felt so much better both physically and mentally after starting classes at Girl Fight. And the trainers are very accommodating with modifications for anyone who may need them. They offer additional services too like nutrition coaching and one on one coaching. The best thing about Girl Fight is the community. All of the members are so friendly, the trainers are always encouraging and supportive; they’re sure to help anyone who may need some extra help during the work outs. Marie, Brandi, and Christine are INCREDIBLE instructors who really know their stuff and always make the work outs better with their enthusiasm. And Amanda, the owner, is the most personable and supportive person I have ever met. Girl Fight Fitness is a small all-female kickboxing gym with two locations: Burnt Hills and Latham, NY. This review is for the Latham location. I have attended 6 classes in the last two weeks taught by two different instructors, Marie and Jeanna. The instructors are enthusiastic and encouraging. They are skilled in kickboxing moves and are accommodating to novices and those with mobility issues. They teach and encourage proper form. The classes are as challenging as you want them to be with modifications to meet all skill levels. The gym is very clean as are the two wheelchair accessible restrooms...large enough to change in. Several small cubbies are provided for personal belongings and there are two water fountains. Everyone pitches in after class to clean equipment and gloves used. Very supportive atmosphere...definitely NO JUDGMENT, women of all shapes, sizes, ages, marital status, identity, experience...ALL ARE WELCOME!!! None of the classes I have attended so far have been filled to capacity. I'm not sure of the reason since it seems to feed regularly on Facebook. I can only guess it could be related to the cost, which, without yet having done any cost comparison, seems a bit high to me at $15 per class or $119 per month for unlimited classes. Nonetheless, I hope GFF is here to stay. It's a great place for women...especially those of us with gymtimidation.
