Experience is never good when it comes to communication. They set class times so it’s impossible to enroll two kids instead of simply switching and if you need a make up your options are limited. They never miss a call for payment though happy to take your money but never to accommodate your kids.

We have been with Gold medal Co for a couple years and the coaches and staff are top notch. Very accommodating with scheduling and token usage. Emelina loves it and usually looks forward to going. The price is reasonable and it gives us parents time to take a breather and a peace of mind knowing that our little angels are in good hands. 💪🙏👍❤️

I received a phone call today from the gym that my daughter didn't want to get out of the pit and was asked to be picked up. When we picked her up I am being told that my daughter has had several instances where she was not listening to the instructor which was the first time we've heard of this . They are telling me they were able to handle it before and couldn't do so now. My first question is why wasn't I told about this behavior before hand? My husband nor myself was ever called or told to support them in this matter.
Now our daughter outcasted because of her disability and the staff was unwilling to help her or speak to her parents. I would never recommend this gym to any parent that wants their child to be in an inclusive environment where it's obvious they are in incapable of doing so. It's unfortunate we have to explain to her that she can no longer engage in one of the activities that she enjoys doing the most. I've spent valuable time and money that I could never get back. My daughter will be left with the impression that she is a problem.

My daughter absolutely loves Gold Medal Gymnastics Center, we tried another gym first and made the switch to Gold Medal when the other place changed owners. Since switching, her confidence has grown along with her skill set. The coaches are sweet as can be, but they also know how to make sure the kids are disciplined and focused. I would highly recommend Gold Medal in Rocky Point.

My 3 year old daughter loves GMGC. She has learned so much and has gained so much confidence in her time there. The entire staff and her teacher Miss. Ang, are all so great! The closest location is 30 minutes from us but it is worth the skills and friendships my daughter has made -- we are even thinking of adding a second class to her schedule. Thank you GMGC!

This place is perfect for that overwhelmed, exhausted and running on fumes parent/caregiver that has kids that are "bored" and have endless amounts of energy to burn! I personally have come to appreciate every quiet moment I recieve with two boys, six and an eight year old, that I get to breathe. My boys are not into sports or really anything for that matter, I know lucky me right! (eye roll laugh laugh ha ha) Well, I figured I have passed this place a million times running back and forth for those endless errands that just must get done or the world would definetly end without picking up those Dino nuggets!!! Which on a complete side note, I would just like to add I believe my kids are the reason for that whole extinction of the dinosaurs( ha ha ha). Anyways back on topic. I finally just went in, got a great friendly welcome, than I started looking around the pristine(definitely cleaner than my house) facility and to my surpise all I noticed there was a bunch of kids completely exhausted coming out of their classes and the look of relieve for an easy afternoon on their parents/caregivers faces!!! Omg can we say gold mine?! I signed my kids up right then and there and I haven't looked back!!!
I reccomend if you just want a few hours to literally just breathe in your own little chaotic world called a family, sign them kids up!! Calling all parents, honestly the best gift you could ever get yourself is an hour or two of peace and quiet where your own sanity(alert alert foreign word) can trickle back in, no matter how brief, to make you feel human again.

Our daughter has been attending classes for almost one year now. She has gained a lot of confidence and has gotten so strong.
The camp they offer throughout the year are fun for the children as well!
Our kids just had their birthday there. All of the children had a fabulous time. Five staff members worked the party and did an incredible job.

My daughter has been going to gold medal rocky point for about 3 years. I just want to say how dissatisfied I am with this establishment. My daughter cannot even do a simple cartwheel, or a split. Half the time the kids are standing around during class and look bored. The instructors look absolutely miserable, have no personality and barely interact. I’ve addressed my concerns with the girl who was in charge months ago and I was told she would pull my daughter aside to do one on one time with her. Needless to say it never happened, they say things to appease you in the moment. I’m paying 140$ for my child to stand around and do nothing. The front desk is useless as well, they can’t seem to be bothered with your existence. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to gold medal gymnastics, they don’t really care unless you want to give them one of your kidneys to be taught professionally.

Truth isn't libel slander or defamation.
I believe my truth with gold medal must be shared and respectfully i removed names as requested.
My daughter was singled out denied the stamps all other kids get at the end of class. This devastated her when i spoke with her coach i closed the gym door which made my daughter (newly 4) cry And the coach said "look see look how your daughter is"
We came to the solution of moving her up to a class that wouldn't bore her and she was doing much better. She also added in privates to make sure to keep adding to her skill level. I was told it "starts young"
My daughter was put on a steroid treatment for breathing which caused fussy behavior. I warned coach she may be off and just to send her back to me if it's too much and we'd leave. Instead she kept her but became fully frustrated. The following day we had a private with the coach who clearly was over my child. My child said "no" to stretching this caused the coach to call her mentally immature and to kick her out of developmental class. I was told "skill doesn't matter" I explained many times i believe my child is neurodivergent and struggles with sensory issues in the gym, however she has never had a complaint from another parent or child. Her behavior didn't pose a threat to anyone's safety or welfare.
We moved her down and began private lessons twice a week. We worked on a reward system buying slime leotards and headbands to reward good behavior and still didn't have any issues aside from when certain coaches were near. She had lots of friends and i made some wonderful friends with parents as well. We weren't the problematic family we are being treated to be.
The younger Rec class in our experience didn't include skills such as mounting the beam, pullovers, cartwheels, or bridges. To have somewhere to continue this skill we had to do multiple private lessons a week. None of the female staff would work with my child as she was black listed but i must say one male staff member stayed by her side and worked wonders. He's 5 star, the rest are the 1.
Often times the class would be covered by the receptionist and admittedly they weren't coaches. Because of this ultimately i chose to end classes with gold medal. In my experience they pick and chose which kids to build and which kids to just tolerate in rec class.
I tried many times to find someone within the facility willing to hear what we went through and to find a solution but nobody would simply listen. This isn't to damage their business nor to tell a single untruth, but this caused my daughter great upset and confusion and i believe her story is worth telling. I'm not telling anyone not to attend this gym but i think reviews exist to exercise our first amendment right to speak our truth. I hope in the future the facility grows and changes and never upsets another family how they've done to mine.

Don’t go there if your child has special/sensory needs. They will tell you that they can accommodate, throw one extra person into the class ( that has no training or patience) and make it pretty much impossible to gain anything from it and have you leaving feeling absolutely heartbroken. I’m a mother but I’m also a licensed professional who works with children who have special needs in the 4 year old age range, and the director ( I believe his name is jason) did everything you’re NOT suppose to do in the situation. I guess he feels empowered as the director of the ninja program ( mind you, this is for the 3-5 year old class so it really makes me wonder how he speaks to/treats the typically developing little ones in the class) needing complete control, not willing to bend even a little bit for the sake of the child’s first day and getting him to transition into the session. This is not how a child with special needs works. The rest of the staff were young women ( teenagers to early 20s) just doing what he said. He was relentless, telling my child ( who is 4) that he’s a “big boy” and that “mommy can’t bring him to class.” It’s his FIRST DAY and it would have solidified a smoother transition and more compliance from my child. In my field, as someone who helps children, I would NEVER not allow a parent to walk their child to wherever we are going the first time, as the child doesn’t know me from a hole in the wall. This would have helped establish trust and comfort, if he were trained and knowledgeable. Mind you, at this point my child is freakin out crying and the only way to get him to calm down was by telling him I’d walk him. So needless to say, my son lost his mind again. I’m also 7 months pregnant, and not one employee stepped in to help de-escalate or help me. Offer an alternative . Something! When he began having behaviors, jason made us go into the lobby. Literally kicked us out of the gymnastics room. To add insult to injury, all the young employees were starring at my son like he’s some freak show because he was upset. Their eyes widened. They work with kids, This cant possibly be the first time this has ever happened. For Christ sake, the parents in the lobby were more supportive, compassionate and behaved more accordingly than the employees. To be clear, when I called about the class to inquire , I told them my child is special needs. When I scheduled the class, I called again to tell them he has special needs, then when I got to the class, I told the woman at the front desk he has special needs. There was nooo misunderstanding here. No lack of communication on my end. I was very transparent and they repeatedly told me it “totally fine, we have children with special needs here and an extra person in the class to assist.” Where was that extra person? Where was that patience and understanding knowing he needs a little extra help? Jason has no training ( nor do the rest of them but he seems to be the oldest one there so shame on him by not leading by example) and does not understand how to communicate/conduct himself for the sake of the special needs child. It was cringe and I left after 15 minutes. Figured I’d save someone the time and energy. I left embarrassed for them, heartbroken for my child who didn’t understand why he couldn’t just go play, and sad I had to endure this situation as a parent who is already very sensitive about my child’s special needs. I left in tears. it was just awful. Mind you, this all started because jason refused to let me walk him to the class. A waiver could have been signed allowing me to walk onto the mat, which was never offered to me once.

My daughter has had the absolute best experience at Gold Medal Gymnastics in Rocky Point! She has been attending the Bronze Babies classes since she was 18 months old and has become a strong, confident and eager 3 year old who is ready to move up to the Silvers Stars! The instructors are kind, patient, attentive, knowledgeable, professional and welcoming. We all look forward to class each week and I would definitely recommend trying out a Bronze Babies class if you have little ones.

I highly recommend staying away from this school, especially from their director, Amanda. this school doesn't care about the safety of their kids. I have witnessed many times where their unqualified teenage instructors were more concerned about chit chatting with their co workers than actually helping students develop their skills and giving them something to do while the instructor works on a child. Their classes are a one big giant playground. For example, of the many: When kids are on the bars, I've witnessed one child kicking another child with their feet because the girls were standing too close to each other, which is something that the instructor should be more aware of and keep the kids separate. There is absolutely no structure there. God forbid if you try to raise your concerns to Amanda, you are deemed the problem instead of them. They just don't care about anything else but money. Kids just do whatever they want. Stay away at all costs. Thank God we caught this early and put our child into a much better school that cares about safety and developing skills. Stay away from this money hungry factory!

My daughter started early Spring in Bronze Babies and loved it. She loved it so much we had her 4th birthday party at the gym in July. That was a great experience for all of the kids.
She moved up to Silver Stars over the summer. She absolutely adored her coach, Miss Jen. All she wanted to do was impress her coach, so she practiced at home all summer - cartwheels, handstands and bridges. By the summer’s end she tested and was selected for Super Silvers. Everyone at the Rocky Point location, especially Miss Amanda, are so supportive and kind towards all of the students. I would recommend the Rocky Point Gold Medal Gymnastics 10 times over!! Love them and all that they stand for!!!

Place is great, my kid loves it and that's the most important. However, this place isn't very good with updating parents on events, facility closures, etc. There is literally ZERO communication between admin/instructors and parents. I had no idea there was an annual Olympic Expo until one of the other parents (who heard from friend) informed me about it. I purchased tickets for the event, yet no communication on what my child is supposed to wear, what they are practicing or if they are practicing, what exactly are their practicing. We just celebrated Memorial Day, it was evident that most places would be closed for the holiday yet no mention from this place whether they were closed or not. Not on their IG page, answering machine message, no email, nothing. For almost $100 bucks a month you would think there would be more informative with parents. They have no issue spamming the hell out of us with "Summer camp" brochures and "Celebrate your child's birthday with us" Come on! Get it together!

My daughter had never done anything with dance or gymnastics and I asked several times if she was too old to try or if they had a placement for her. They told me that everything would be fine, that they had students of all levels and they would guide her and teach her what to do. Her first class came and the teacher was absolutely horrible! Her name was Denise and she paid little to no attention to my daughter even though there was only one other child in the class. She did not warm the girls up, she did not demonstrate the stretches, she only spotted my daughter once then told her to do front flips and walked away to talk to the other older girls in the gym! My daughter fell twice and was unable to do any of the things the teacher told her to do, but the teacher was too busy talking to her friends to bother with her students! After an hour of this my daughter came out sore, aching, nauseous, and crying!! Worst experience ever!! Will never go back!!
