Okay, fast forward two years. I'm now 74 years old.
I had the hip replacement, and have been working with Louis two times a week for the past 2 and 1/2 years now. He makes it easy to keep going. Workouts are straightforward, less than an hour, and the conversation is always interesting. If I didn't have to face him To explain why I didn't show up, I probably would have quit after about a year.
Unless I lose 80 lb or so, I think it's going to be difficult to see my washboard abs! That said, I walk as well as I ever have, and my retirement quality of life is far better than I ever imagined it would be. Thanks, Louis!

I'm an older person waiting for a hip replacement. I needed to get into better shape for the best outcome.
I found Louis to be a smart, graduate-level-trained guide. His greatest strength, however, is his encouraging and friendly approach.
Let's face it. Exercise sucks. Louis makes it bearable, even pleasant.
When he asks me about my family or my weekend, it's clear that Louis cares and remembers what he hears. His natural curiosity keeps the conversation interesting. Workout time with Louis doesn't fly, but it does jog along pretty quickly.
Finally, I really appreciate his requests for a next-day report on my body's reaction to the previous day's workout. He adjusts accordingly.
It's been a couple of months, but I'm making real progress! I recommend Louis unreservedly.

Louis is not just a great trainer for young men or women trying to slim down and/or firm up or bulk up, he is also great with older individuals who are trying to maintain muscle mass, reduce joint pain and yes maybe look and feel a bit better! He explains the purpose of each exercise and tailors the wt and repetitions to your ability and progress. He is willing to be a bit flexible on the timing for the workouts which is particularly helpful for my changing schedule. I am very glad I found Louis and I can see and feel the progress we are achieving !

I was initially weary of having a personal trainer, but Louis strikes a great balance between getting the hard work done and keeping things fun. Louis is absolutely awesome!! He has taken me from a weak triathlete to a strong triathlete. My knees used to hurt when running. They do not hurt anymore. Louis is attentive when I do the exercises. I have worked with Louis for 2 years. During that time I have become steadily stronger and more capable, which has significantly reduced the number of injuries I’ve had (due to a connectivity tissue disorder, I am VERY prone to sprains, strains and breaks). This has made a HUGE improvement in my quality of life and has enabled me to stay active as I get older. Whenever something feels off for the day, he is very responsive and willing to switch things up so that there’s always some progress to be made. Shortly after moving to Rochester, I was particularly looking for gym to accommodate the irregular work hours of a surgeon. I could not be happier to train with Louis. He was kind, caring, accommodating and catering to the training goal. Before we even start, we talked about my goal of developing more muscle and physique. Like you I recently found myself reading reviews in an attempt to find a new personal trainer. As someone who has religiously lifted the last 3 years, I felt I was plateauing and losing momentum. With so many positive reviews, I decided to reach out to Louie. I was immediately impressed. Before even setting foot into his gym, Louie took the time to understand my fitness journey as well as listen to my goals. In our first session he assessed my strength and form while getting to know me personally. Our subsequent sessions were spent around learning new technique and discussing nutrition. Louis is awesome! I'll preface this by saying that I am not an avid gym-goer or enjoyer by any means. The most exercise I do is counted by how many flights of stairs I've used that day.
However, Louis actually had me looking forward to working out and my "Louis Days." I had progress that I'd never seen in any school/college class. I FELT strong for the first time in my life - not an exaggeration. I also felt great too!
Louis is beyond wonderful with his communication - quick to get back to you and during your session. He can explain to you exactly what muscle the workout you're doing is engaging - and why and more! It's a lesson and a workout in one!
He asks, and remembers, the going-ons of your life and struggles (physical/workout related or otherwise!).
With Louis, you're getting a personal trainer AND a friend! I couldn't recommend him more!

Initially began training with Louis Zito to lose some weight, but I discovered Louis incorporated his knowledge of nutrition and physiology with his expertise in stretching, isometrics and weight training. I cannot say enough good things about training with Louis! I’ve been working with him for years now and I’m still amazed by the progress I’ve made! Progress not only in my ability to do more, but also in regards to how much I’ve learned about proper form and staying safe while training. He has also been great about giving me advice on nutrition as well. I normally travel for work several days a week and he has helped me figure out ways to make smarter choices while I’m on the road. My job can be quite mentally stressful, and I so easily allow myself to get really out of shape. (physically and mentally) Several years ago I decided I wanted to find a personal trainer who would not only motivate me, but also hold me accountable for my eating habits and work out habits.
After working with a few other trainers over the years, I met Louis Zito about 4 years ago. Louis is by far the most down to earth, real, and motivational trainer I have worked with. (he also has an incredible English accent that is much easier to take weight lifting orders from, lol)
I am a bit older now being in my early 50's, so I do have to be somewhat careful on how I lift and move now. Louis is super knowledgeable on all things concerning proper form and function. He explains his thoughts on proper form, speed and methods, and why we must follow certain lifting guidelines to prevent injuries.
Louis Zito has a gift for helping others achieve their health, nutrition and fitness goals. He is in great shape himself! (amazing to me how many trainers there are out in the world that don't practice what they preach) And, the way he lives his own life is inspirational and a true example of what a healthy lifestyle can do for a person. He is ALWAYS positive and uplifting during our workouts, even when I am in a nasty crabby mood!
To summarize, Louis Zito is an essential ingredient in my life. He helps me to live and eat healthier. He is the reason I work out. He holds me accountable, and I need that. He is a true friend. A great mentor. He inspires everyone he comes in contact with. My life is truly better because i know Louis.
