I look forward to my classes at Heatwise every single day. The teachers, the community, the space.. it’s the best start to my morning. I’ve been to other studios and they don't compare. Being married to an architect makes me appreciate the design of the studios too. I'm grateful I found it.

As a long-time member of Heatwise Yoga, I can honestly say it's more than just a studio – it's a real community. From the moment you walk in, the super welcoming staff makes you feel right at home. They actually take the time to get to know everyone, which creates such a personal and inviting vibe.
The studio itself is super calming with a great vibe. The instructors are all amazing. Each one brings their own style and energy, so you get a diverse mix of flows and never get bored. They're not just leading classes; they genuinely care about your progress, taking the time to connect with members and help them deepen their practice.
Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better studio or community. Every class at Heatwise is an awesome experience.

Favorite hot yoga studio in the city! The classes are a great workout while still feeling like a yoga class. Awesome instructors (Cassie is my favorite!) and the music is always on point. Love coming here to improve my practice and also break a sweat.

I will NEVER return. Was running 5 minutes late and called the front desk to see if that would be okay. She said they give a 5 minutes grace period and said she would even give an extra minute just incase. My sister and I walked into the studio at 9:05am(within the grace period agreed on) and she told us that they would not be able to take us anymore because we had to sign a waiver(which takes less than 30 seconds) THEN, what made it worse another other person walked in a couple minutes after us and was let in to take the class. Very unfair, unprofessional, and unfortunately probably prejudice. I will gladly be spending my money or classpass points elsewhere.

I had a disappointing first (and last) experience at Heatwise. I arrived 4 minutes late due to a bus detour—something beyond my control—and was met with unnecessary comments from the instructor about my lateness. I understand policies, but the tone and sarcasm were unwarranted. The energy was off, and I felt unwelcome, as if I didn’t belong in the space. Poor customer service overall. I won’t be returning.

Great hot yoga and pilate classes! However, the mat and towel rental being $10 is a bit steep.

Great studio! I’ve been there 3 times for Sunday morning sessions with Tess as instructor. Great playlist and great instruction. The room gets properly hot and you feel 10x lighter after.

Sweat, stretch, feel good about yourself. Challenging, yet accessible hot yoga classes. Pricey ($35 per class, plus $5 for mat rental) even on memberships (gets down to ~$28-30/class on a package), but you get what you pay for.
Book online in advance to ensure a spot. Only 24 mat spots in the studio per class and it can get tight if fully booked. Watch your neighbor.
Proof of vaccination required, plus a cough/snivel check upon arrival. Namaste.

Okaaaaaay, I wanna stay short and sweet and I will have such a hard time!!! I did give yoga a try and never ended with a membership at other studios. It’s once I walked into Heatwise right after pandemic reopening….. It’s everything - from the light of the place and every thoughtful little detail to my amazing amazing teachers (that part needs a whole book) to front desk ladies to owner herself - what a tribe (and family) I’ve gotten myself!…….. There were days (and weeks) when I sobbed at the end of every class, there were days when I felt strong and powerful, there were days when I thought I got it and then I realised that it was just a scratch in my practice. There are days when I walk in and I am happy and a whole life can happen in 5 minute exchange and we all burst into loud laughter. And there are days, when I walked in crying, because my heart was broken and my wings needed mending and I received so much light and love, I felt my heart would burst. I learned inversions and accepting things my body (and mind) has to be patient with. But the most amazing thing is - learning to accept myself on this journey we call life - and I get to bring whatever is happening in my life to the mat and leave - calmer, in peace. This little safe harbor in Brooklyn Heights has a little piece of my soul in spot 10 (mixed with so much sweat and tears:). In case I need to spell it more clearly - I love Heatwise and - common over new people!……..

Heatwise is my favorite yoga studio in the neighborhood. Honestly, it's my favorite in the city! They have fantastic teachers who all offer a different approach and I have never had a bad experience. The studio is always clean, welcoming, tidy and they do a great job of making everyone feel comfortable in the space. Highly recommend!!

Heatwise is a boutique hot yoga studio that's an oasis of peace and zen. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. Sam and Leah (the owner and manager) create an awesome vibe that helps ease you into class and evolve with it, even if you are new to hot yoga. The classes are small (no more than 20 in each class) which gives the classes an opportunity to have a hands-on approach and pay much closer attention to you as a student. The teachers are super genuine, real and truly passionate. Top instructors are Lizzie, Ariana, Leah, Erin, Sigird,Taylor, and Jade. Start off w Liz, she teaches the most classes, she’s super friendly and welcoming. Remember to bring water, it can get well over 100 degrees!

Look at how the owner responds to low star ratings and it’s all you need to know about this yoga studio. Avoid avoid avoid. The worst yoga energy in Brooklyn.

Good teachers but very small space- no room between students. Also the classes are somewhat expensive, but the charges they have in store are insane- $5 for a bottle of water $15 to rent a mat I believe

The studio is extremely nice and clean, a bit small tho.
The girl at the front desk (blond long hair) is also very sweet and welcoming.
Now it only gets 1 star because:
The teacher SARAH.S did not acknowledge me ONCE; didn’t ask if I had any surgeries, if I needed readjustment or how did I find the class at the end. Nothing, it felt like she was not comfortable with me being there. She totally ignored me, not even a bye while I stood there next to her for a minute just to engage. Yoga teachers are supposed to be caring for their students.
I will take my other class but making sure Sarah will not lead.
I’m black & overweight thankfully confortable in my skin.
I was the only one there with these criterias But it felt like Sarah was bothered by my presence.
I practice Bikram yoga (which was not mentioned at check in) so thankfully for ME I knew a bit about hot yoga and how to adjust to my hips surgery.
I could be anyone, and deserve the same respect and treatment than others.
Because someone doesn’t look like the type of people you usually hang out with doesn’t mean they are not good enough! WE ALL START SOMEWHERE.
So much for wellness.

Horrible customer service. Class and instructors are fine, but the staff are inconsiderate, rude, and non-communicative if you try to engage with them. Having to deal with them regarding a small fee issue felt like talking to a huge evil cable company, not a wellness yoga studio.

My girlfriend and I went to Heatwise for the first time recently. The whole experience was terrific. We were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful staff. Our instructor, Sigrid, was also very friendly and guided the class through a fun, and surprisingly intense, workout (or, as Heatwise likes to call it, shvitz). The class was full, but it was not packed to the point where you felt uncomfortable. Sigrid went around the room helping those with certain poses (after asking for permission at the beginning of the workout).
It was the perfect way to start our day.
Oh, and the studio was very clean and welcoming!
We'll be back.

Heatwise is an awesome yoga studio and a stellar addition to the BK Heights/Cobble Hill neighborhood. The studio is clean, inviting and super zen…almost making you want to hang out on the couch vs head into class. Zoe's class has amazing music and a consistent, challenging flow. Really excellent experience, can't wait to take class again.
