Took the Pilates sculpt purehouse class and Really wanted to like it but I don’t think I’ve ever sweat less in a class. It was insanely slow. Class started with 5 minutes of breathing on your back and after every move there was another 30+ seconds of rest. You probably only end up “work” for a total of 15-20 mins of 45. When class is only 45 mins I expect the time to be utilized more efficiently.

Did the intro offer to Pure House Pilates at Solace (Murray Hill Location) and left all 3 classes unimpressed. It’s in a shared studio with stationary bikes, the equipment is OLD, the new mats while longer are the most thin and flimsy cheap mats I’ve ever used. The instructors are kind which is a plus. I find the workouts to be identical to what a YouTube Mat Pilates class so I urge anyone to do that and save money. I read somewhere it’s heated and it’s not. If the company wants to charge a boutique fitness price they need to have boutique fitness elements and this falls very flat. Save your $$$!

Amanda and Dominique’s pilates sculpt classes are the BEST part of my week! I always book & show up to class excited & leave class feeling so proud. The moves & music are always fun & the modifications they give are so thoughtful & inclusive. I never feel judged or left out for doing them because that’s what works for my body right now. I’ve been going to their classes for a few months now & can feel the growth in my strength, flexibility, & quality of movement! I have the 8 class pack through the website & the price is so worth it! The other instructors have subbed a couple times like Haven & Mackenzie & they give you a fun high quality workout too. I always leave sweaty & wake up sore & excited for more. It’s also been a pleasure getting to know Amanda & Dominique more & I’m grateful to call them a part of my community in NYC. Their classes have made me a stronger dancer, which was why I decided to implement pilates into my week in the first place. Thank you, House of Heroes team! The GymU space is gorgeous too & Scotty at the front desk is the most welcoming! Congratulations on the Murray Hill location, I look forward to continue supporting!

I have had a great experience at this gym, so glad I got a membership here! The facilities and equipment are clean and there is plenty of space for everyone. The staff and owner, Vincent, is always so friendly and welcoming!

I have been taking classes on and off since 2019, and what keeps me coming back is the resilience and tenacity with which Joey and Nada have cultivated their community. The classes (wide variety of disciplines to choose from) are equal parts challenging and encouraging, and everyone - from staff to students - is incredibly welcoming. If you're a spin/HIIT enthusiast in search of a fitness family that's going to push you, go go go sign up for a class at House of Heroes! Right now!
