I've been working with Oscar for a few months and I couldn't be happier. I'm almost 50 and I know how important strength training is for women as we get older. I was always too intimidated to lift heavy weights at the gym because I had NO idea what I was doing!! Oscar is very patient and smart. He's helping me build a solid foundation so I don't get injured as I learn the proper techniques to lift heavier weights. His gym is private and clean and I feel like I can learn at my own pace without being judged. Oscar is incredibly warm and encouraging and I trust him to move me along at a pace that's right for me. I’ve had several trainers but Hudson is the best by far. All training is with your individual trainer and no one else is in the gym causing distraction. Your trainer notes from visit to visit what’s been accomplished to build upon the next time. As a beginner the trainer has great patience getting the movements correct. I’m a woman in my mid-30s and have been training at Hudson Training for over a year now. I’ve worked with Oscar, Carlos, and Felix — all incredible trainers who bring energy, motivation, and expertise in proper form and functional strength. From day one, they’ve helped me stay disciplined and focused on my goals.
When I started, I was pretty out of shape — averaging 3,000 steps a day and feeling stuck in a routine where exercise always fell to the bottom of my to-do list. I decided to work with a personal trainer for the first time ever because I needed structure, accountability, and a reset.
Since then, I’ve gone from doing one strength session a week to consistently training at HT three times a week. I have gone for 12 sessions now out of my 24 I signed up for and I am already seeing great results! The overall experience with this team is dynamic, comforting, and flexible. They are very accommodating to schedule updates and are constantly looking out for my personal health and well-being. I enrolled with Hudson training on a more advanced strength training engagement. I had a very specific target, and a timeline, in terms of BMI, weight and other factors which I discussed with Oscar early on. He worked with me to put together a plan, and from there we started implementing the plan. Specifically what stood out in this engagement were the training sessions where we focused on technique of strength training, as well as learning about difference workouts based on my targets. Oscar took the time to explain the correct technique and didn't stop till we nailed the technique down. The icing on the cake was when I PRed in some of my workouts: this wasn't even a primary goal but based on the Hudson training process, we were able to achieve these. I highly recommend Oscar and the Hudson Training Team!

Oscar makes working out fun, I appreciate his relaxed but enthusiastic and encouraging style, which suits me well. He has magical ways of getting you to lift another five pounds or complete another couple of reps without thinking about it. Oscar pays close attention to modifications you may need or physical challenges you have - I have a history of knee injuries and he has incorporated new stretches and exercises into my routines and makes little tweaks to what I’m doing with him as we go that have helped to prevent further issues and improve joint mobility.
His studio is IMMACULATE and well equipped, and he’s got great tunes! I have really enjoyed the 1:1 focused time with him and having the space to myself while we’re working out, really cuts down on the embarrassment factor of lifting amongst the bros at big box gyms, and more importantly allows you to focus on form. I appreciate his eye for detail with form, and his help with maximizing the efficiency of my workouts through that. I can see improvements in my strength as a result of working with him, even though I’ve not been able to be as consistent as I would have liked, and working out with him has given me a lot more confidence to work out effectively on my own at the gym.

I have been working closely with Felix on the training side and Oscar on the diet / progress tracking side. What I like about the program is how comprehensive it is. It is not just about showing up for my training and leaving. Rather, both Felix and Oscar work closely to provide a holistic approach to training. This includes diet, sleep and hydration - factors I wasn't paying as close attention to before. What I've found particularly useful is Oscar's guidance on how to approach these aspects and how to incorporate small tweaks to maximize my potential and achieve my goals. I had hit a wall with my weight loss and fitness goals: I had tried everything from different diets to exercise techniques. I had an important event for which I needed to lose weight, which was only 2 months away. I met with Oscar for my first complimentary session, and I knew from that session that he could make a difference so I signed up immediately. We worked together on a holistic plan which in addition to exercise, included diet, sleep habits and water intake. We set a specific weight loss goal for the 2 month period. I adopted this plan and met with Oscar for 9 sessions, weekly before my event. I'm glad to say that not only did we meet my weight loss goal in the 2 months, we exceeded it by 15%!!!! Oscar is great at what he does, and pays attention to you 1 on 1 in his fully equipped Chelsea workout studio. He truly cares about your progress, and creates a personalized plan that works for you. Let me be super clear: I absolutely despise working out. The only thing I hate more is gyms. I have a long history of trying workouts that I hate and/or feeling like a loser because I’m not a gym rat. Yet somehow I’m actually enjoying working out with Oscar. I have so so much fun working out here! Oscar is so intelligent and is always focused and attentive. The studio feels like home , honestly he is so kind and so helpful and makes me feel comfortable and excited about my fitness journey. Having tried many fitness options in NYC and beyond, I can unequivocally say Hudson Training is the best! Oscar is a world-class trainer (he has a masters on the subject..) and strikes a perfect balance between fun and challenging. His gym is incredible.. well stocked with all of the latest equipment and tech needed to keep the workouts fresh and diverse and to precisely track progress. Oscar is an incredible personal trainer! He made me feel comfortable from the very start. You can tell that training is not just a job for him, but a passion. He has fun working with you and his positive energy is infectious. His knowledge of fitness and health is very impressive (and that's coming from a healthcare professional). I felt like he truly got to know me - my background, goals, challenges etc. so that he could create a custom plan that works well for me as an individual. During the session, Oscar was incredibly respectful of my physical space, encouraging and instructive. After just my first session with Oscar, I felt like I learned SO much, reassured that I feel safe from injury, and am even more pumped to attain my fitness goals. Also I love his fitness studio - it's got everything you'd need and has a homy feel to it. It's an honor to step foot in it and be part of Oscar's training experience. I have been going to Oscar for several months, and am incredibly happy with the experience. Oscar is very enthusiastic without being pushy - he is not a trainer who yells or is in your face, which I love. He is very focused on the mechanics of the exercises, and ensuring that you are able to perform them correctly. His sessions involve circuit training, HIIT exercises and various weight training. We perform weekly weigh ins, and more extensive body fat analysis every few weeks. Oscar also provides diet guidelines and workouts to do outside of his sessions.
I have spent years working with trainers in other cities, and am very happy with my experience with Oscar! I have seen a marked decrease in body fat, an increase in muscle and am getting back to the shape where I want to be. I really look forward to his sessions and they are a highlight of my week.

Oscar is an excellent personal trainer. My husband and I started going to him a few months ago when we moved into Chelsea. We’ve had trainers in the past but fell off for a bit when we moved cities. Oscar brought us back into the habit. He makes an effort to switch the workouts up every week, he’s reasonably priced for a one-on-one (or couple) workout, and his space is very cute. We even tried the trampoline recently, which I’ve never done! And he has state of the art body scanning technology. I definitely recommend training with Oscar at Hudson Training.

I've always been someone who's played sports and gone to the gym. I was never a huge fan of working out with trainers as they seemed repetitive and costly.
Working out with Oscar, however, has been a total game changer. He's extremely responsible, articulate, and knowledgeable. He's showed me small but very important adjustments to workouts that have fundamentally changed the way they impact my body in a positive way. He also follows up on things that we discuss. He once went out of his way to record and send over some extra exercises when he didn't need to at all, as well as other notes regarding nutrition. I really value this as I know this means he has a true passion in fitness and in helping others achieve their goals.
Our workouts are always well structured. While they are often challenging, its never to the point that I feel I'm at risk in getting injured. They're often varied so you never feel like you're doing the same workout again. I often feel energized at the end of a workout instead of drained.
Most importantly, he's a person who's naturally positive, high energy, and optimistic. I feel that trait is extremely important in working with anyone- and in particular if that person is training you. I have extremely high regards for Oscar and Hudson training and would recommend you not to think twice if you're looking for an amazing trainer in NYC.

Personally, I never trained before; but here there’s not a problem, since I start with Oscar the one to one personal training have been excellent.
