Very vibrant location and they don't charge as much as a lot of other places to play. Very key for winter when you are stuck indoors

Like all supportive parents, I recently discovered if you’re over 55, it’s half price. I asked why isn’t it posted? The response was a shoulder shrug. So for the last two years I’ve been paying full price for the weekend pass. Who do I speak with directly for this blatant and deceptive business practice? Just on principle, let’s see what this establishment does, I’ll keep you posted.

We have been here several times now for tournaments as we are local so I will repeat, if you want to implement and enforce a NO outside food policy, then you need to have more cafes/venues open and available. Waiting in line for an hour start to finish is unacceptable. Further, went to buy waters yesterday while we were waiting for our daughters final game, around 5pm - both concessions closed and the beverage vending machine was down. Filling station? Yes.....just warm water though. Not what athletes need during a long day of play

I was really disappointed with the experience at the athletic center this weekend. It cost $48 just to get in and watch my 12-year-old’s game, which feels excessive for a youth event.
On top of that, the officiating wasn’t great — a lot of calls were missed and things got a little too rough out there, which made it hard to watch as a parent. The scoreboard was also incorrect multiple times, giving points to the wrong team and creating unnecessary confusion.
For the price families are paying, I just expected things to be better organized and safer for the kids. Hopefully they take some of this feedback seriously moving forward.

Worst place on this planet!!! Drove 3 plus hours from Boston with my family of 6 for my son’s basketball game. My son had 2 games on Saturday only! No games on Sunday. However, apparently we have to pay $48 per person for the entire weekend when we only had games on one day. Total rip off the staff needs training and the seating arrangements sucked! I hate New York in general but this is just another reason I won’t be visiting anytime soon if at all ever again. Avoid this place at all cost!!

The food was average and the seating arrangements were not well-organized. The security guard at the gate allowed everyone with Dunkin Donuts bags except the Asians. I understand he is following the rules but the rule should be fair and uniform for everyone.

Great facility, however, it is very challenging to eat here as a person with multiple food allergies. You are not allowed to bring in food and concession isn't allergy friendly. I have made complaints in person multiple times over the past few years, but nothing seems to change.

My name is Tony. I’ve been here a few times. Impact center is a Nice facility. Except parking is terrible. Just ran into the owner in the parking lot, she told yeah, I could not park where I was attempting to, Told me if I did that I might get towed . I Suggested to her that they need more parking. She told me that they built as much as they could, the surrounding areas are wetlands. I suggested a parking garage. She asked me if I had $1 million, apparently to fund it. This may sound like it was confrontational, it wasn’t, but it was still said.
I am here for volleyball tournament. Starts at around 8 AM and will go to 5 PM. If they’re going to host this kind of event and charge people admission to get in, they should provide proper parking.
And for the record. I’m writing this about a half hour after it happened. And I see at least 15 cars that are parked “Where they shouldn’t be”. Including the spot that I was told not to park in

Had a wrestling tournament here. They charge 30 dollars per person to enter which is absurd for a high school tournament. There is a no outside food or drink policy which is obviously just to make money off these kids and families. They made 7 year old girls stand outside in the freezing cold rain because they wouldn’t let them bring cookies inside. They also check bags because they don’t want you bringing food or drinks inside. The front staff are so extra about it threatening to call security over food like they didn’t make a ton of money off the tournament. The bathrooms were not clean either. There is not enough seating for wrestlers or family.

Called ahead of time to ask if I could come do a tour, was told yes. Showed up and they told me I can’t have a tour because they’re too busy. I was then told I would have to pay money to just take a look at the gym. Not a serious place!

Big money grab, the parents pay for their kids to play tournaments here. They charge the parents an entry fee, make the parents pay an entry fee for the younger siblings. They wanted $75 outta me to watch one game with my kids on top of what I paid for my kid to play in the tournament. My young kids usually get in without a fee and my wife and I pay for ourselves but today was a different experience. I asked to speak with who’s in charge and I was told “this is a business” they only care bout the money that’s it. Don’t get me wrong I coulda just paid but charging the typical family $75 bucks entry is nuts.

This is a nice venue, but a little difficult to watch the games with the layout. We were aware of the no food policy because of other reviews, so we were prepared to purchase dinner. Unfortunately for the tournament that ran from 3-9pm, the Snack Shack was closed and the restaurant ran out of food before 6, so no dinner for us. If you have a no outside food policy, you NEED to have food available throughout an event. So disappointing.

You pay $26 per person to enter and get your bags checked on the way in to ensure you aren't bringing in any food or beverage, but once you get inside they have run out of food and beverage. We asked if they would now allow us to bring food in and the security guard said no, but you can eat your food outside. How magnanimous! Also, not enough seating so you get to stand for 5 hours. Steer clear of this horrible place.

We paid $26 per person for entry for a 2 day volleyball tournament. We were told we could not bring in food. The snack bar was closed and the pizza restaurant ran out of food befor 6pm. We asked if we could bring in food to continue watching our daughter and were told no... even though no food was available inside. Not sure what the thought process is there but I'm not a fan.

Went for a volleyball tournament and the parking lot was not big enough. Got there at 8:30am, no actual parking spots left. We saw signs for certain areas that said no parking or would be towed, so didn’t park there. We saw at least 10 other cars making their own parking spots where there were no signs, so we did the same. We were not blocking anyone and there were no signs saying not to park where we did.
For extra context we had to pay to get into the venue to watch our daughter play and we could not bring in outside food or drinks.. so this facility was making money.
They towed our car a mile down the road and held it hostage for $180 (cash only). Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessarily. The workers at the front desk said the owners sit upstairs and watch the parking lot.
Like vultures they call the local tow truck and collect the money…
We are there to watch our kids play. If you are hosting a tournament your parking lot should be large enough to accommodate. You shouldn’t be scheming with seedy tow truck companies to collect another dollar off of blue collar parents.

Great gym for Pickleball. They offer many courts and open Pickleball every week day and often add Pickleball open Play when the gym isn't being utilized for another sport.
I love that they keep the gym clean. I played a couple of weeks ago and saw staff cleaning the pads around the gym that people lean on. They also do a good job keeping the floors clean, which is so important because a dirty gym floor causes more falling when playing. The one suggestion I have for them is to add shades to the workout room windows. It's difficult to see the ball with the glare from the lights, but it is especially difficult to see when facing the outdoor windows, and it's sunny out.

Communication between myself and Impact Center for scheduling purposes is almost non existent. The pickleball courts are ok. The nets are on wheels and there are moveable barriers between the courts and basketball court that I’ve tripped on multiple times while playing pickleball. But, like stated, the communication with Andrea L. In regards to scheduling is horrible. Will not go back. Ever! Will try Tru Pickleball in Latham, even though it’s a little further.

2 stars is harsh, maybe it's a 2.5. Sports complex wise, this place is nice, but spectator wise, it's garbage. This place handcuffs you and your athlete to garbage fried food, pizza, or some other junk after making you pay admission to watch your kid play. Offer some affordable, somewhat healthy options, buy a few more stools to put up around your railing, and work on the efficiency of your services operations. This place could be world class if they didn't extort their customers.

Imagine a place (mostly) backed by an NBA PLAYER!!!!
With 6 basketball courts and 18 hoops, that you can never actually play basketball at, unless you show up at 6 a.m. on a Tuesday? (Or at a time when most under 65 are AT WORK)
And when they do have basketball, imagine this same place only opening ONE COURT OUTTA 6!!!!!....SIX!!!!!
And don't go by the online schedule, because they don't....definitely call ahead or ,unfortunately, just go to the YMCA...

I'm so disgusted with the staff especially the higher ups including the directors names specifically Alex, Grant, Kennedy & Andrea. Our experience and situation was very bad and we didn't even get to use this facility. After multiple volleyball tryouts this summer my daughter needed something with less pressure because she has a passion for volleyball and we felt IMPACT ATHLETICS would provide what we were looking for. So I researched and paid the full 6 week program for $125 basically. On October 6th 2023 we went to the facility and mind you my daughter has severe PTSD & ANXIETY she's an agoraphobic so leaving the house showing up I was so proud. We sat in the parking lot an hour early and she got her stuff on started getting really upset and explained she just can't get out of the car, I knew I couldn't pressure her or force her and even if I did how was I forcing her to participate? So I went into the building spoke to 2 ladies at the desk and explained my situation. They said they leave a message for the manager to get back to me. First I received a response email from Alex stating NO refunds if you don't cancel 24 - 48 hours prior & I couldn't understand how were like they're regular policy and procedures because we DID SHOW UP We were there but what was I really supposed to do? So then I debate the answer I received and it goes up the chain all the way to Andrea the director yesterday on Nov 7 2023 she calls to say we don't ever offer a credit but we are and I explained there's literally NOTHING in their facility which interests my kids or family. We didn't just choose not to participate or deliberately cancel we even showed up. I'm a single mom with 7 kids including 3 of us battling cancer and lots of mental health challenges. I was taught to make the effort and only way to get past fear is to TRY which we did. She gave me excuses how another kid couldn't get a spot and the coach was paid and they're just excuses. They could afford to reverse and refund my $125 and every excuse in the book so now I am initiating a chargeback with my bank as well as writing a very long sad review on the BBB as well because if you read this its so wrong. It's an excuse and we were definitely a different situation. These people have no class no care no remorse or compassion for kids with mental health issues and mind you this is a 16 year old who now never wants to participate when it comes to volleyball again. Impact Atletics I will share your discriminatory despicable attitude towards the mentally challenged community everywhere I can because this is unacceptable practices and something should be done. It also seems I'm not the only one regarding people having very poor experiences with this facility and ALL their staff members. What a SHAME, I wonder how they're still in business. I'm disgusted with their practices and bedside manner. Please SHARE this review and get justice for those they just dismiss and look at as a paycheck.

Took a very long time to get into the place for a volleyball tournament because they searched everyone's bags for food and drinks.
I can't believe they charge so much to get in and they don't allow outside food and drinks. Not even Gatorade.
Checking teenage girls personal bags is a bad idea and a bit creepy.
Parking lot isn't big enough for big tournaments.

Although the facility itself is nice, the searching of bags is out of control. For the last few tournaments we have all had our bags searched to be sure we aren’t bringing in food. They searched the players bags and would not let them bring Gatorade and food in. We are paying tournament fees and a fee to get in. The girls usually only have about 45 minutes or so between games. To stand in the line for 20 minutes for chicken nuggets is ridiculous! Leave the kids alone and let them bring in their lunch boxes!

I'd give this place a negative 1 if I could. Somehow worse than planet fitness. Have fun, getting escorted to a locked weight room with an active class going on constantly. Want to go work out on your own time? Not a chance. Enjoy a 4 hour window during 2 classes. They can keep my money. This place is terrible. Schedule doesn't actively show anything, so you'll just show up and it'll be locked for a tournament not seen on the website. Stay away unless you are here for pickle ball.

Beautiful athletic center, but they are greedy SOB's! I can see not letting any outside food in, as they have a cafe, but when they started checking the girls' bags to make sure they weren't bringing in drinks, (even water),that was the deal breaker! Obviously, they care more about making money than the health of the players!! Won't be back here and will not recommend!

The facility looked super nice! We went for open pickle ball but after their Friday night league play only 2 courts were left for ~40 people that showed up for "open play". The front desk communicated this to us before we paid so we went home but I was surprised they were advertising open play to the public when so many courts were occupied by the league and open play is available to gym members.

Shame on them! I have a second cousin coming from out of town to play an AAU tournament. I only need entry to one game! Tonight at 5pm. Sadly they are only offering weekend passes at $20 for the weekend. Really that is just ridiculous. Now I won't be able to see her play because I am NOT paying $20 for one game. I know my choice, but I think it is greedy and unnecessary to gage people to watch their relatives to watch a game when they have already received tournament fees fir the team to play.

Customer service is a facade. People are nice when they want your money but the management goes against their word and they don’t want others to succeed. Just them. They have an attitude like they are on top of the world. Good facility but I could easily see them getting bought out by someone else due to lack of leadership. Basketball games have 1 ref for a game that tries a to cover the entire court. Note good. Cutting corners to save costs. This creates transactional relationships. Get your money and leave you in the dust. I just don’t feel like they care when they interact better if they just left you alone..

Update: Temperamental owner/manager claimed that I was trying to manipulate their policy on membership. What??!! Made a point to seek me out and try to lecture me after I already paid and entered the gym. She did not take part in any of the original conversations in question. Not sure why she was having a bad day or decided to wage this vendetta against me. But definitely too proud to apologize for her false accusations after I called her out on it. Surely a blemish on their customer service. Lowering my original rating by a couple stars.

Looks beautiful. Toured the inside. The website still needs work because the ability to register for programs online and pay has a disconnect. I have now visited twice and everyone is very pleasant. My one main complaint right now is obtaining membership. The people at the front counter keep directing me to one person when I inquire about membership. It seems there is a funnel problem there. If everyone who inquires about membership is sent to one person how will anyone ever sign up? One person can't possibly handle all members phone calls. It becomes a lot of phone tag. I hope this gets resolved soon before people start rethinking using the facility because it's so hard to become a member. We are just trying to give you our money.
