I've been doing Pilates with Tracie as my trainer for a few years. She is fantastic! Always wonderful at demonstrating new exercises, helping me with my form and figuring out what is going on when there are body aches or imbalances, I would heartily recommend Tracie!

Tracie has been instructing for over a year now - and I am so very grateful. I’ve had back issues most of my adult life, and coming out of Covid had very painful back issues; Tracie has been helping me figure out what builds my core and how to maintain it for every day normal activities, at the same time keeping it fun each week. Thank you Tracie for making Pilates fun to learn and continue each week! You have changed my life style - for much much better.

I feel so lucky to have found Tracie! At the start of the year I was barely functional due to a flare of an old back injury. Now, 6 months after seeing Tracie for the first time, I'm in awe of strong I feel and how distant my back pain seems. I've been able to travel, bike, kayak--all things that used to aggravate my back--with no pain. Tracie is incredibly warm, intuitive, and knowledgable, and she's very responsive to your body's needs in each session. Highly recommend!

I've worked with Tracie Matthews for about 8 months now and she is absolutely incredible.

Tracie noticed some pronounced imbalances in strength and flexibility between my left and right sides. We've been working to build more even strength and flexibility which has helped my chronic back pain and stiffness immensely. Plus, I've gotten a lot fitter and stronger overall!

Tracy is knowledgable, kind, funny, observant, and creative. I adore working with her. Definitely recommend!

I have worked with Tracie on and off for many years. I'm now in my sixties and she is the perfect trainer for my needs. Tracie is an expert at working muscle groups in safe but challenging ways. I have osteoporosis and Tracie took me out of my comfort zone during workouts. I knew that she knew what she was doing - she is very focused and observant during sessions and her background knowledge is impressive. Tracie is also a great resource for exercises that you can do at home on your own. She's just wonderful.

I have been a client of Tracie’s for over a decade. She is a kind, intuitive, skilled and creative teacher, who knows how to listen to her clients and offer them what they need in each session. I started Pilates as a new and more gentle way to stay fit for my body that was often in pain. With Tracie, I have learned body control, gained strength and stability, and found better posture and body awareness. Tracie is excellent at working with and around her client's injuries. Her Somatic skills are a true gift, and she helped me navigate the most difficult time in my life by offering me a safe space and teaching me how to listen to what my body needed during that time. Tracie also is gifted at matching her clients to other practitioners within her network of healers when other skills or treatment are needed. Whether you are healthy looking for more fitness or in pain physically (or emotionally) and want to find a path to wholeness through your body, I would highly recommend Tracie as a Pilates and Somatics practitioner.

Tracie at Intuitive Motion Pilates is amazing! She is patient, has years of experience, and has process of building a personalized plan for each person. She has built foundations for me that slowly, but surely, makes me stronger, more conscious of my body's potential, and most importantly, gives me drive to continue.

I came to Tracie at Intuitive Pilates after serious abdominal surgery that severely curtailed my range of movement. She has an excellent sense of how to use Pilates as rehab. As a result, I have my full range of movement back, and my core is stronger than ever.

Shame on me for not posting a review sooner! I have had the luck of working with Tracie Matthews (at Ellie Herman and in Tracie's home studio) for nearly a decade. I came to Tracie in my early 30s, after noticing that my running and yoga routines were no longer sufficient to stay in shape or ward off a backache. My initial goal was very simple: to strengthen my core and address some old injuries and imbalances in my body. I never could have imagined how impactful Tracie's training would be. She has seen me through two births, two post birth recoveries (both rather tricky, involving public symphysis diastasis), and everything in between. Her deep study of the body and how it works allowed her to evolve my training according to my body's needs, to support my recoveries, and to help me become healthier, stronger, and more aware. I am in infinitely better shape, now in my early 40s and with two little kids, because of her influence and careful training. She is also a kind, delightful person who cares deeply about those around her. It is hard not to recommend her or sing her praises.

For over a year I had persistent pain in my lower & upper back. Chiropractors, yoga, PT, and acupuncture did not help and a friend referred me to Tracie. After the first two sessions I was virtually pain-free! Tracie has a great eye and can find the structural problems in your body that are causing pain in other areas. Then she'll work with you to build the strength required to remain free of pain. Also, my muscle tone and posture have improved drastically in just a few months, which is a nice bonus. Highly recommended!

I have been taking Pilates with Tracie for several years. She is incredibly knowledgeable and (as her business name suggests!) intuitive in her understanding of the body. She has helped me to treat chronic pain (I'm feeling the best I've felt in years!) and has also helped me stay in shape during and after a pregnancy. Thank you, Tracie!!

Since working with Tracie, I have had absolutely no back pain, or pain anywhere, for that matter. Tracie is incredibly knowledgeable and can tune into the challenged areas of your body with expert ease. As a Pilates practitioner, and a practitioner of various modalities supporting this method of strengthening and stretching, she can incorporate her intuition with her vast understanding of anatomy, to design exercises pin pointing the effected area. She is known for her ability to assist with rehab for those post and pre-operative, and those challenged by their age related body changes.

I came to Tracie Matthews of Intuitive Motion Pilates five years ago at the age of 66 feeling pretty decrepit. Five years later, I can attest to the very significant improvements I am experiencing in my flexibility, strength, and stamina. Tracie is incredibly knowledgeable about human anatomy and extremely intuitive about what needs fixing. Her approach is intensely individual. She has an uncanny ability to analyze problems and develop strategies to resolve them. There are exercises that I simply could not do when I first arrived that I can now do with relative ease. It's really a pleasure to recommend her to anyone looking for a highly individualized Pilates program.
