DO NOT MOVE IN TO A BUILDING MANAGED BY IOWA SPORTS MANAGEMENT.

In the last 6 months it’s been chaos - Iowa runs the package room and common areas of my building.

- Communication is awful - there is zero communication about common areas being closed or reopened.

- Package delivery is a joke - they have reduced the hours that residents can access packages so much, especially on the weekends when people are actually home, that there is zero convenience. Iowa consistently schedules just ONE person to both receive all of the packages AND to respond to the residents who come to pick up their items. It’s obviously impossible for one person yo do both of these jobs, and so sometimes packages sit for DAYS before residents can access them. We would be better off with Amazon lockers at this point.

tl;dr if you’re going to live in a luxury building that has Iowa Sports Management, they will remove the “luxury” experience from your day to day life. Don’t do it.

Since Iowa Sports took over, our building amenities have been night and day. The gym/pool/etc are clean, well-managed, and the service feels truly professional. Total upgrade!

Iowa Sports are the best in the field in the NYC area. We've been working with them for three years already and we are very happy to have them service our private pool. They always show up on time, super professional and thorough. A pleasure to be working with you.

I spent the summer training at one of Iowa Sports’ fitness locations and was impressed how organized and clean they maintained the machines, weights, and facility overall. Helpful onsite staff and a good mix of group classes too.

IOWA Sports facility at the HUB building is a community space where families would get together and share meals and conversations. The CEO has since turned it upside down, she let go many dedicated and trusted employees, enforced rules over night and sadly, banned our trusted swim instructors whom we have grown to love and left our children without swim instruction for over a month. The solution is to hire their own swim instructor whom we don’t know anything about for 3x the price. I would steer away and take your money elsewhere as this business is not here to serve its community, instead it’s only here to recoup any loss in revenue due to very poor management.

We moved to to a building with great facilities (great outdoor space, co-working areas, play room and swimming pool) managed by IOWA sports management. If only this experience lasted past signing the lease....

Most of the issues stem from IOWA sports management - the company that manages the facility. IOWA CEO and managers, are clueless, inconsistent in their excuses and how they make up and apply policies. This leaves residents constantly frustrated, turning what should be a smooth living experience advertised in the brochure into a constant battle.

During our tour we were explicitly told that we can hire swimming instructors for our kids, until one day IOWA decided to ban all outside instructors (without notice), claiming insurance liability and proposing we use their own subpar instructors at 3x the price. IOWA failed to explain how swimming instructors are different from personal trainers, and provide different answers at every question.

They are overcharging for everything, membership dues, party rooms, outdoor grills and offer very restrictive conditions.
The areas IOWA manages are filthy and the senior staff are rude, clueless and deceptive. As a consequence the rest of the team has very high turnover.

Any building in NYC can do much better than work with IOWA SM.

WORST sports management of ALL TIME. They are RUDE to the people who use the gym, they overreach on a power trip. I have been verbally harassed on several occasions and am consistently DISPLEASED with the overall management, maintenance of the gym equipment, that I plan my workouts around when iowa sports management employees are FAR AWAY from the gym facilities I desire using.

If you want to be creeped out by this guy who wears flip flops with with his phone on his hand, wanders around the gym and slams the weights, this gym is the place. After talking to other members at the gym, this guy comes to this gym almost every day, follows around you, and be completely creepy.

What’s worse, this gym only has on stair master which is out of order all the time.

Outstanding trainer is Leonard Smith who is absolutely super !!! I am overweight and self conscious with a bad knee. Smith tailor made a first class challenging workout (but just enough) without the agony. He doesn't make me
feel self conscious given my level of strength. I can testify that doing Smith's "grown up" (not wimpy girl type workout) exercises have made me
feel stronger and self confident in every way. Then he emails me after every
workout the next day to see if I have any problems or excessive soreness.
He is also very kind and concerned with older folks on the training floor. He's not an exercise "snob" though he's a super gifted athlete. He also
advises me what to eat after my workout which I really appreciate since he is a student studying the latest nutrition information.

I feel supremely lucky to have this wonderful "superman" training me.
