We combine dance cardio and conditioning, choreographed to hit music. In-person classes at 55 Wilbur Blvd, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (St. John's gym) on M/T/W/S. New student specials available; see website, Facebook, and Instagram pages for more information and most up-to-date schedules.
Ample parking and accessible. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Beginners welcome!

Jazzercise is a whole-body workout. From the energetic cardio dances to the strength routines, you will be exercising all of your muscles, including your mental faculties. New routines drop monthly so we're always learning and stretching ourselves. The instructors are inspiring and supportive. They modify workouts for any level, but if you want to leave sweaty and stronger, they'll also push you to level up. And, best of all, this welcoming community is filled with warmth and laughter.

I’ve been jazzing for more than 35 years! Why, because Jazzercise offers an inclusive fitness experience suitable for all ages, shapes, and sizes. Our upbeat instructors create a supportive atmosphere, emphasizing the hour belongs to us. The choice is ours, whether we are there for an intense workout or low impact. The contemporary mix of music enhances the workout, and modifications are always available. The instructors' knowledge of sets ensures a well-rounded session.

Clear communication regarding additional or canceled classes adds to the overall positive experience.

When I found Jazzercise of Poughkeepsie, I found a gold mine! I lacked self esteem and confidence. When I made the decision to join this wonderful group all that went away. I did the gym thing (boring). Here at Jazzercise you get a great workout at every class because every instructor is fabulous. They make all the classes fun and there is zero judgement. They say it's your hour. Their choice of music is always fantastic and they provide a modification to all routines. I have met some wonderful people and made some great friends. This month is exciting February challenge. Such a cool idea! So if you want to have fun, make new friends, exercise and not be judged, then this is the group for you. Give it a shot. You will not regret your decision.

Jazzercise is a great workout! It contains cardio and strength training to all sorts of music, and the Poughkeepsie team is incredible! I've been jazzercising for a few years now and never felt stronger. The instructors are well-educated, fun, always start on time and always give us the full hour of exercise. They cue us on the moves and provide modifications to intensify or slow down the workout, all the time while also participating in the workout with us and usually making us laugh with some jokes about their day! They rarely cancel but if they do, they usually add a makeup class. Also, my fellow classmates are friendly and considerate; everyone makes you feel comfortable whatever physical level you are at, and the unlimited price is well worth it - the more classes you attend, the cheaper each class becomes! It's awesome! Thank you Jazzercise leaders and classmates!

Jazzercise Poughkeepsie is a welcoming fitness community where all ages and levels work together toward achieving key life enhancing goals, including physical fitness, mental acuity and emotional well-being. Highly experienced instructors lead classes to all different kinds of music, calling out the moves, giving tips and encouraging us to let go of stress and enjoy dancing together. All of the moves can be modified for any level—and the instructors demonstrate exactly how to modify. Strength training and stretching are incorporated into every session. Jazzercise is a full-body workout. The instructors continually educate us about our bodies, and the moves are all about supporting day-to-day functionality. All aspects of my life have been improved by actively participating in the Poughkeepsie Jazzercise community. Jazzercise has positively changed my life forever. ❤️

The tag line--fitness, friendship, and fun--is absolutely true, but Jazzercise is also energetic, effective, and easily adaptible to your level of fitness and experience. It is really a complete workout for the body (it has pilates, dance, yoga, strength training, intervals, balance and core work incorporated) as well as the mind and spirit.
