Journey has changed my fitness routine. I was never able to have consistency and commitment to a Gym, or other fitness program until I joined the Journey Fitness family. Now it’s been 6 months since I started, and I can notice the difference in my lifestyle. The program is fun, and you meet great people. Every week you have a new set of exercises, and all the other people in the group are very welcoming and supportive.

I started journey fitness after watching my wife start her journey and became amazed at the community she connected to. It took me a few months to finally take the plunge after working out with Sawyer and I was hooked. I went to two classes a day for the first two weeks because I couldn’t get enough.

Since starting last summer I have been blown away because Journey Fitness is not just a gym, it is a community of people of all different ages, abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. Logan and Sawyer are amazing coaches who make the workouts approachable, fun, and adaptable to any level of fitness. I look forward to every class and the friends that have created my fit-fam.

It’s HARD to live with yourself feeling out of shape or, it’s HARD to get up in the morning and work out.

When I took the honest step of choosing my HARD, Journey and the community has been there at each milestone continuing to encourage and build my mind and body towards achieving my goals.

The staff make sure I stay on track and continue to challenge me with a smile to do a little extra, the friends I have met at Journey make it easy and rewarding to get up and out every morning.

In short, I didn’t think I’d ever again be able to wake up consistently before work and go to the gym, but now I find it HARD to sleep in.

I'm hooked! I thought I would go to Journey Fitness 3 x a week, I'm there 5-6 x a week! I would never workout this hard on my own. The instructors are the best, always positive and enthusiastic. And don't worry about age, fitness level, etc. It doesn't matter, you do the best you can, and that is enough. But, you will be amazed how fast you progress. When I don't feel like going, all I need to do is show up and everyone there will give me the push I need to get through the workout. I love it!

I can't give more than 5 stars but I totally would. I have joined (and quit) numerous gyms throughout my life. I REALLY wanted to get in shape, but hated working out, so needless to say, I kept failing! UNTIL I discovered Journey Fitness Ithaca! I only joined Journey Fitness a couple of weeks ago but can already say it was a GREAT decision! The coaches are awesome, encouraging, and will meet you where you are at. I have been going to Journey since just before the pandemic started. I needed something to get in better shape and be more healthy and this has been a great fit for me. I have been able to drop thirty pounds and put on muscle in a healthy and sustainable way.

Anyone can go to Journey, it is accessible to all ages and body types. It is a boot camp style class with multiple stations throughout your workout. I feel comfortable going to every class regardless of who is in the class or who is running the class. The people going are friendly, inspiring, and are enthusiastic to help others.

The trainers (Logan, Sawyer, and Sam) are willing to push you when needed, but will also work with you at your level and pace. There is no reason not to give this place a shot and see if it works for you.

I do wish there were more live class times available, which for a negative is really not that bad, since there is the ability to use the on-demand classes or virtual classes as well.

When I first started at Journey Fitness I didn't think I would stick with it for more than a month WELL that was 6 years ago!! The workouts change weekly to ensure you are working all parts and muscles of your body. If you are not able to do a specific exercise there are always modifications that you can do. All the other members and the coaches, Logan and Sawyer Brown, are so encouraging and supportive. I have done so many things since I started here that I never even dreamed I would be able to do, such as Spartan obstacle course races, Spartan Deka events, running multiple 5k's and trail runs AND running my 1st 1/2 Marathon!! Journey is not just a place to workout at it is truly a Fit Family!!

Where to start… Journey Fitness was the root of my fitness journey. I started at JF a few years ago, overweight, high blood pressure, and over all not in the best health. I have tried almost every gym in Ithaca and nothing beats the motivation and drive I get from the coaches pushing me at JF. I haven’t looked back since, after 30 pounds gone, lower blood pressure and feeling better about my health JF is the gym for me. If it wasn’t for the coaches and the specific system that journey fitness uses, I wouldn’t be so successful on my fitness journey. (The good tunes help too) Journey Fitness is not only a gym, it’s also a community of good people whose also motivate one another, I leave there every time feeling accomplished and excited for the next class!

Genuinely friendly and caring coaches, a sense of community among members, challenging but doable exercise routines that change weekly, clean, new-like facilities and equipment, and an up-beat, high energy atmosphere make this the best gym and exercise experience I have ever had. That says something because I have worked out many places and tried many different types of exercize in my 60 years of life so far. If you like group classes involving high intensity, interval training, then Journey Fitness is for you. If you are not familiar with this type of exercise, I recommend that you try it out.

I had a bad motorcycle accident in 1999. I'm 64 now, and the broken back I suffered in that accident was getting to be a real problem. I started at Journey Fitness in June 2016. After 3 weeks of working out, I was pain free for the first time in 15 years.

The coaches at Journey Fitness are excellent, the workouts are well thought out, and the people in class are friendly and encouraging. I was afraid I would embarrass myself at the first class. I am not a gym rat and I was really out of shape. I had nothing to worry about. Everyone was encouraging, the coaches offered modifications to each exercise, and I was never pushed by anyone (except myself). If I could give 10 stars I would.
