I love this gym. I signed up in July 2025 with the help of GM Bob, who was very positive and helpful while getting me registered and showing me around the gym. He also recommended personal training to help me get started. Later, he introduced me to head trainer Day. His experience and communication have been a huge help in starting my fitness journey! Let me tell you something about LA fitness if you’re trying to Get Fit or just get a quick little workout in this is the place to be. The atmosphere so welcoming and the cleanliness is the first thing you notice when you walk in. I had a brief interaction with the manager, He was a young fella named Josh. Josh was great and very accommodating for my condition. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I am never going back to another gym ever again. I was at planet fitness for years biggest mistake in my life LA fitness is the place to be.

If you care about your car parking do not park at this gym. My vehicle was damaged, and when I asked the staff about their cameras, they admitted there is no visibility in the parking lot. They told me to ask nearby stores, who said their cameras didn’t catch anything because the gym’s parking area is too far out of range.

So basically, if anything happens to your car here, you’re on your own. No security, no responsibility, no care for members’ safety. The gym might have decent equipment, but that means nothing if they can’t even provide a basic safe parking area.

Utterly unprofessional. Walked in on a Saturday morning as I was interested in joining and was meeting my girlfriend as that’s her usual time working out . I used the restroom and was interested in joining as after I left I contacted the Clarence location as it was closer to join. It got back to me that the feedback from the front desk that I should stick to Planet Fitness as I would not be able to afford LA Fitness. This came from someone that knew my financials. LA Fitness had lost a valuable returning customer and I will be taking my business to Planet Fitness where they said I can afford it. If I could give it a 0 I would!! I moved locations very far away from this club. They give me a phone number to call to cancel my membership and I could get a refund for the months I was not with a club because they don’t have any where I live now. Turns out I call and there is no prior attempt of me canceling and that the only thing they could do is refund me one month. When I have been with no club since September! So all relaxed they said yeah we are taking away your money for two months and we will only refund you one out of the three. Very unethical practice.

I've been coming to this location for years and it's truly my favorite one. Lots of space and tons of barbells and even the layout for the machines is nice. The small private room is a plus, but there's just one thing. The guys bathroom. It just smells like the urinals are never cleaned and just fresh padding out in. You can smell the pee before even making it to them.

It's a real disappointment, so many people used the pool and Hot tub, you can't offer something with a membership a legal contract then just take it away. Bathrooms are not as clean the floors are all was dirty especially the urinals.There is a hose on the floor in the men’s room all the time. The tvs are all blue screened in bathrooms. The weight training area is never cleaned up none of the weights are never racked and some weights are missing. No matter what time of day you have to search for certain weights, ez curl bars in particular 30lb and 40lb especially. I know members are supposed to assist but from opening to closing the conditions are the same.

Horrible experience if you bring along a guest. My membership includes the ability to bring a guest, IT'S WHAT I PAY FOR, and it makes no sense for them to purchase their own membership since we never go separately. At other locations, they let you sign yourself in. Here they are HIGHLY aggressive about trying to sell you a membership and make signing in EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT for your guest members. They are forced to go through a mandatory lecture every single time where they try to convince your guest to buy their own membership. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You would assume they would get the point that it was never going to happen, but nope, like clockwork they do the whole song and dance every time. We just want to go in and get our workout in, and not be haggled every visit. Not only that, but they will continue to harass you about it constantly as you are there. It makes the experience very awkward and unpleasant. Not only that, but they will spam call your guest, over and over again to try to get them to buy a membership. It's absolutely ridiculous. If you want to bring a guest with you, using the membership perk YOU PAY FOR, I suggest going to literally any other location where you don't get harassed with every visit. This behavior is disgusting, I'm strongly considering cancelling my membership entirely and swapping gyms, but I already know they will start blowing up my phone next.

This place hasn't been cleaned properly since before the pandemic. The floors and cardio machines are covered in dust and dirt, the cup holders on most of the treadmills have something gross at the bottom of them, the mat along the back wall is covered in salty/dirty footprints, the mat by the free weights is so dirty I didn't want to put my water bottle down, the women's locker room looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 2020. I don't ever come in without my hand sanitizer because it feels absolutely disgusting in there.

I went here while I was traveling for work and was very impressed and kind of shocked by the 1 star reviews. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. They were having issues with the daily lockers and allowed me to keep some valuables behind the desk.

The gym is clean and someone was going around cleaning the entire time I was there.

This was my second visit here and I will definitely be coming back upon my next visit to Buffalo.

Break times for your lifeguards are not well posted and in inquiring about this when ask to exit the pool , instead of having a conversation about this , the lifeguard jumped to threatening to call the police - great customer service. I was a member here for 3 years and didn't have a problem. I cancelled my membership because they told me I had guest privileges (GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM THIS PLACE) and then embarrassed me when I brought a guest... supposedly they renewed my old membership instead of taking out the new membership. Then the Union Rd manager kept telling me "I can't help you," or "I am not able to help you," ...or the best one is when she just told me to go sit down without telling me why (prior to that the said she couldn't do anything, so I was confused why I was being told to sit). I called the corporate offices and they refunded me my 2 year membership which I pre-paid. Then the manager got nasty with me when she asked if I called someone while I was sitting!!! One of my worst biggest concerns as a parent is leaving my toddler with someone who would mistreat her. I brought my three year old baby girl with me today to my Local Esporta Fitness on Union Road in Cheektowaga. I dropped her at the child care center at the gym like I've done many times before. A few times after my workout when picking her up from the facility child care center my daughters mood was off and she was very ready to go which is unlike her. I didn't think much of it but I did notice it was with the same woman each time she behaved that way. When I had picked her up from different staff members she always wanted to stay and play longer with the other children. Today when I reached the center my daughter was crying uncontrollably and when I inquired what happened, I was told my three year old "got into a fight with another child". I was extremely upset so I calmly took my child home to comfort her. I called the location and asked to speak with what I thought was the manager of the location. I told him the story and expressed my concerns about the individual at the child care center. I was told that "If I was worried then maybe I should come check on my child" I responded with I should be alerted immediately if there is an incident with my child. The man was very rude an when I asked for his name I was given two names. Which after calling corporate was told that no one at that location exist with either name. So I am urging anyone who takes their child to think twice or keep an eye on them periodically. For me I will never bring my child there again. I also want corporate to do a full investigation.

I like that they have heavy bags. Now they have heavy tires, weight sleds, battle ropes and a lot of other cool equipment. Only negative, the locker rooms are dirty on busy days. But I blame the patrons for this.

Pros: convenient location. Plenty of equipment in good repair. Friendly people. Cons: the guys who come in to play basketball make the entire place smell like weed. Showers have no hot water. What is up with that?!
