On holiday from Orlando visiting fam. Was impressed with the space and layout. Helpful staff. One thing I did not like was people jumping in to my pool lane. But I was later told that sharing was mandatory. Please clean the sides of the pool tiles they had greenish moss/ mold....I didnt bother me...but it was nasty.

LA Fitness member that uses this location when I travel. LA Fitness brand is great, however, this location does not represent that brand. While it has plenty of equipment and amenities, it is dirty and not well kept. Weights are not properly returned to locations and left laying across the gym. You must go on a scavenger hunt to find free weights. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be top priority either. Hardly anyone wipes equipment down. I can understand that to an extent when there are no wipes readily available for people to use. Bathroom was being cleaned the other morning, however, the chemicals were so strong, it was burning my eyes just walking in

Worst La fitness to date! Half the machines don’t work. All they want is your money no customer service what so ever. Worst till date. I went in to ask if they offer a free 1 day pass to try the gym out. They said no and got me to sign up the evening of July 1st. $180 later I cancelled my membership after visiting this location once, and the Farmingdale location once the morning of July 8th. This is the worst Fitness chain I've ever been to. Only 1 rope attachment for all of the cable machines and it was filthy and smelled horrible. Most of the other cable attachments (basically has 1 of each type of attachment) were dirty and broken. The entire place was disgusting. The cardio machines look like they haven't been cleaned in about 3 years. The machines were old, squeaky, and some didn't lock properly in place so I felt weird about using them. There's clearly no machine maintenance at this gym at all, and you sign all these contracts so if you were to get hurt it's not on them. Dumbbells all over the place, and the ones that were on the rack were out of weight order, you're forced to walk back and forth to fin the weight you want and then to find a pair is another walking back and forth. Even Crunch Fitness has theirs organized.

On top if it all, the man I signed up with told me there was a 1 week try out when you sign up where you can cancel within that 1 week and get your money back, but instead I was charged $60 for an annual fee AFTER I CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP.

So in total they charged me $229.

This place is a joke.

While swimming at pool, I noticed something shiny on the bottom. When I checked, I found a large safety pin lying there.
It could have been dangerous, so l immediately informed one of the staff member.
But he didn't even get up--just glanced over and walked away.

In the end, I had to move to the shallow end myself, retrieve the pin, and show it to the staff again. All he said was, "Just leave it."

Honestly, I was shocked. What if someone had stepped on it and gotten hurt? Having a sharp object at the bottom of a pool is clearly a safety issue. How can something this serious be handled so irresponsibly?

If you don't want to do your job, you shouldn't be here. Why come to work only to act like you don't care? It's incredibly disappointing to see that staff prioritize their own convenience over guest safety.

Proper training and a serious attitude adjustment are urgently needed.

Sadly, they lock up the smaller weights (2.5, 5, 7.5 lbs) in the yoga room and do not allow these to be used outside of the fitness classes. As someone who needs these lighter weights, I opt to drive 10 minutes further to the Farmingdale location where the manager knows how to run a gym.

If I could give zero stars I would. 3/4 bathroom sinks don’t work and locker room needs updating. I arrived 10 minutes early for an Aqua Fir class and all weights were claimed. Could not participate. Understand this happend but the Instructor shrugged me off. Had there been a sign up for the class which seems to be packed, I would not have travelled without workout clothes in swimwear. This gym could care less about members.

I wanted to commend Said (The AGM) for his excellent customer service today. Depending on how my initial interaction with the front desk would be upon entering was going to determine whether or not I was going to join at all. Usually, young employees tend to not be so welcoming and fail to acknowledge the paying customer who helps their business to thrive - But Said greeted me immediately with a warm welcome and we got right to it. I am an Operations Supervisor myself, and I have long worked in sales. This is how the customer should always be treated at all times. I have not been to a gym in many years. I was excited to start going and did a 3 day guess pass. When I got there I was surprise. It is a very nice facility that includes a pool, racquetball court and a couple of other things. Unfortunately, I decided not to sign up. The environment was terrible. There were groups of people across the place with speakers blasting their music. Guys hollering at girls, etc. at the end it felt like i was in one of the sense of a movie when you are in a prison yard! Weights everywhere, people sitting on machine and spending more time on cellphones then working out and did not seem to be a clean environment. Maybe the gym culture has changed and it is just me, but unfortunately I choose to go else where, that was more adult driven. I know staff does not get paid much, but there needs to be rules and exceptions on gym behavior and some management unless that is what the environment for this LA Fitness is. Thanks for the 3 day pass, but I only used it for 1 day though. The 3 stars are for the facility. Place would get 5 stars if it was not for the environment.

One of the staff members at the Aquatic fit session every Tuesday and Thursday morning was very rude and disrespectful to members. The class was shown on the app to start at 9am, but she asked us to leave 30mins in advance and did not allow anyone in the lane. She also had a strong distrust of us members, secretly looking up our information on the computer，check our photo in system and filming us while us swimming without our consent. This woman should be fired！

Ok experience. Cleaner than most gyms, has a good selection of machines for those who are into that. Has three squat racks with pretty worn Rogue bumper plates. I think most people could make do in here. The guest pass price is high and members can’t bring guests unless they pay a high price. Can get somewhat crowded.

I like this one a whole lot more than the one near Roosevelt Field Mall. Its smaller. Some of the gym goers are odd, and dont take their wipes away they leave it at the machine which is gross. They are the most annoying thing of the gym. But the employees do try to maintain a nice place though so I cant blame them. The people at the front desk are OK. The bald black guy (sorry I don't know his name) and the girl with braids (I forgot hers I think) are very nice pleasant people. The others just sit there or look busy on their computers or whatever they are doing which is fine. I like it here more. Its more calm.

The gym is relatively new and even remodeled before covid. With that said it's a complete mess now. Equipment breaks regularly and doesnt get fixed, everything is dirty, members treat the gym like crap, weights everywhere and worst of all the employees dont care. Terrible staff experience. I had used a guest pass at this gym 7 years ago and then moved out of town. I moved back into the area and went to the gym at 6:15 AM, gave all my info including my ID and cell number and they gave me a “free 3 day trial pass”. They also told me after 3 days if I ever wanted a “day pass” it would be $10. All fine by me.

I went back the same night and used the barcode they emailed me and they told me I couldn’t use my guest pass at this location or any other locations (like garden city) because I had a guest pass 7 years ago. They told me I couldn’t work out there.

Then I asked to pay for the “$10 day pass” they told me about and now with no reasoning, it was $20.

I paid it and the gym was terrible. No weights put back where they should be. Overcrowded. Smelled like urine and feces everywhere.
