I did personal training here with Cameron for 9 months and it was great. I seen awesome results and learned a ton about maintaining a good work out regiment and just working out in general. Brandon Godfrey is an amazing trainer who knows his stuff! He created me a fitness plan and meal plan that is easy to follow and maintain! I have lost 37# since working with him. He is great about checking in and keeping me accountable to my goals. He cares and and teaches other trainers how to care for clients. Your goals will become his. He is extremely knowledgeable about every form of exercise techniques to ensure there is limited to no joint pain. He is caring and mindful about my limits and knows how to best help me to where I don't blow a rib head when I sneeze. He helped me set and understand my capabilities and how to improve my weights while losing fat. I would highly recommend him for anyone that is looking for pain management, weight loss, toning, or body building.

This is by far the best gym in Niagara Falls, what I love most about this gym is that it has two floors and everything is evenly spaced apart. Absolutely disgusting ladies room with no hand soap in most dispensers for over a month, nasty mold build-up in the water-bottle fill station, and now no air-conditioning in the aerobics studio with the buckled hardwood floors! The regional manager (acting as the location manager because they cannot keep a staff longer than 6 months) confirmed that the pool that they still advertise on their website and on Google has been closed for two years, and that it will not be re-opening. I've been told for the last two years that 'notes have been left' about the cleanliness and condition of the building that now has a health and/or safety code violation at every turn throughout the facility, including blocked emergency exists. Don't bother with this place, you will never get what you are paying for.

A group of late teens early twenties went through my husbands bag and stole my younger teenage sons Nike elite school bag and the gym says their cameras don’t work. Watch your stuff closely. Shame on the people that did it. The gym had to see who was in that area and who left with the bag.it was late in the evening on 5/28. Was told they don’t keep track of whose coming in and out just memberships and cameras haven’t worked in a while. they make it look like they use surveillance for safety and security when they actually don’t.

I joined in October and have Anthony as my trainer. I was doing great until I started using the weight machines and because of osteoarthritis and psoriasis arthritis I hurt my back. I didn't. Want to quit because I felt much better since joining. I spoke with Anthony and he told me no more weights for awhile and gave me stretching exercises which relieved my pain almost immediately. I decided to increase my training to twice a week. I am able to 4 days week again and am improving every day. The pain is much less now so am hoping to be able to use the weights again soon

After being here for several years key things to note- some equipment has been broken for MONTHS (stair master) and preventative maintenance has continuously been ignored. I get more resistance from friction on the machines than the actual weight. Forget about grips being replaced or being in the right spot. Terrible gym.

This gym has pro's and cons compared to other LA Fitness locations. Pro's: A large astroturf area for freeform workouts such as sled pulling, calisthenics, etc. Olympic bumper plates and extra bars are available, but without any squat racks to use them. Average cleanliness. Dumbbells are kept where they belong by weight. Cons: This gym was briefly an E-Sporta facility and became very crowded. Now that it has returned to being an LA Fitness, it is has retained all of its E-Sporta members and is still crowded. Serious weightlifters will be hugely disappointed with only two squat racks. With the number of members, this gym should have two or three times that number of free squat racks. Two Smith machines are one too many. This gym is not responsive to the needs of the members. They are stuck with the LA Fitness determined equipment. I brought in my own trap bar deadlift bar. It is used so much that you would think LA Fitness would spring for one of their own to reduce the traffic on the busy squat racks. No! Requests to make this common sense acquisition have been ignored for two years. This is not limited to this LA Fitness location. None are responsive to needs past what they consider their standard armament of equipment.
If you want to experience the best gym anywhere, go to Catalyst fitness, such as the one near Union and Wehrle in Williamsville.

I love it here! I joined the gym in October 2023 because my friend came here. I wasn’t sure that I was going to be consistent with coming to the gym or even get into fitness in the way I have. It is a very welcoming community at this location and now it has become part of my routine and i’ve met so many new friends. They don’t make it feel intimidating at all and are there to help support your fitness goals and help you actually reach them. It’s really nice that when you sign up you get a free session with the Wellness Director. It gives you some direction and helps you feel comfortable when maybe you aren’t sure where to really start. Definitely recommend and will be continuing to come to LA Fitness! I even upgraded my membership to be able to go to multiple locations in the area!

A little dated the machine still has hookups for iPods. But I can watch TV on most of the cardio machines. They have a basketball court, small swimming pool, training area, weights, saunas (one for men and one for women) inside of each locker room. I wish i could give them a half star!
I came in a week ago to cancel my personal training program since I don't have time to do it. The servicer DID NOT want to assist me, so the operation person or whatever he is had to do it. THEY WERE BOTH COMPLETELY RUDE! I signed up for the 6 months program, but ridiculously for some reasons, they put me on the 12-month program in the system. I did not bring my agreement for the first time coming so I got back a few minutes later with the agreement. For the first time without the agreement, the manager was extremely rude 'cause he thought I was lying. Then I came back with my brother and the agreement, he seemed a little bit surprised and guilty, I guessed, but whatever. He kept complaining that he was not the one doing my paperwork but now he has to fix it. IT IS NOT MY FAULT when the paperwork is incorrect. According to the agreement, if I cancel the program before it ends, I have to pay a half of the total amount. My 6-month plan was $2400 in total (not including the initial payment, which was over 500 bucks). That means I just have to pay $1200 for the cancelation. But you know what, they put me for the 12-month plan, which is $4800 IN TOTAL. If I had to pay for that, it would be $2400. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I AM A STUDENT, I don't have that much money.
Another reason why I hate that place is about the attitude of the servicer and the manager. The servicer completely ignored me when seeing me waiting for him. Then when the manager took my case, he asked me the reason for cancelation, I TOLD HIM SO MANY TIMES THAT I DON'T HAVE TIME. I have to work and go to school at the same time. However, he kept questioning me and made me think that he was digging into my personal life. It's not my responsibility to answer those questions.
This is the worst place ever! You should find other locations if you still like LA fitness after reading this.

I have waited over an hour at times and no one showed up to open the doors. The manager there is extremely rude. 10/31/2024. I Just canceled my membership. It was very difficult to cancel. I was told by the manager I had to show up in person and she was the only that can cancel my membership. . I made an appointment with her on 10/30/2024 for 3:30. I had to miss work to cancel my membership. I asked what if she not there. She responded you're being hypothetical, I told you, I will be there. I arrived at 3:15 and she was not there and I was told she left for the day. Today 10/31/2024 she hung up on me twice. I highly recommend no one ever joining this gym

The reason I still tolerate this crappy gym is for Margaret's and Tim's and Tina's classes. They get 5-stars, give them a raise. I would have left long ago otherwise because this gym is literally falling apart. The speakers for spinning class have been broken for 4 months. The ceiling is literally caving in and leaking whenever it rains. Machines are often broken (but they have improved this aspect with new management). They closed the pool/hot tub. Doesn't feel very clean, often out of wipes. I will change my review to 5 stars if they can manage to fix anything. Also it would be nice if they could get some 10 ibs dumbells for the group fitness classes. Too expensive for the low quality of the gym.

The club did not open again this Monday at 5:00am. I was there at 6:00am and still not open. This happened about 2 weeks ago also on a Monday, they also closed pool and Hot Tub. I am a guest under my husbands account so I decided to go in while he was on a business trip but some kid at front desk wanted to give me an issue saying I would have to get my own membership if I were to come in without my husband “the account holder”. A nice, well equipped facility. It offers plenty of options ranging from strength training with free weights, machines, and a cross fit style area with heavy tires. Let’s be honest, this place COULD be awesome if equipment and amenities weren’t always broken/out-of-order. Also if you have a pool you should have swimsuit spinners and towel service.
The only reasons why I have my membership here are because it’s close to home, and is reasonably priced.
The Niagara Region would seriously benefit from a top-notch aquatic and fitness center; I would join without hesitation.

Update- they removed ALL of the paper towel dispensaries on gym floor because its "costing them too much" what will they cut out next? Water fountains and bathrooms?

Lots of old men using numerous pieces of equipment at once. Equipment always needs to be fixed. A.C. is always "broken" even though I believe they turn it off to save money. VERY HOT during summer. Would not reccomend.

Impossible to get anything done in this place. It's just a piece of commercial real estate to the owners and nothing more. They oversell memberships knowing 100% they don't have enough equipment for everyone. This place is a waste of time you'll never get back.

Wish I could give zero starts, but I can't. After signing up for 3 months of personal training at a cost of $440 a month for 2x sessions per week, I was told that the following day in the morning the trainer Cameron would reach out to to. 3 days later he did. He told me the only availability that he has was 5:30 am. I told him that will not work. He ghosted me after that. 5x calls or text messages later with zero response. Weeks later a new gentleman reached out. The new manager. I responded to his text, got no response, later calling him with no response. It wasn't until I called the location with a attitude that i got a response. He stated best they can do is let me buy my contract out at half the cost. I told him it's unacceptable, later he stated he would be talking with the VP of the company the next day and would get back to me. That never happened over a week now. Plain and simple they did not do what they said they were going to do multiple times. Find another gym like I did, and another personal trainer who is responsive and professional unlike Esporta Fitness. 👎👎

Constantly cleaning and re racking the gym. They have DJs from time to time and special promos for memberships that keep it exciting!

Tim the operations manager is always a positive breath of fresh air.

Def recommend looking no where else to work out in Niagara Falls. Crunch is a dump and doesnt care about the members, on top of that planet fitness is well…….. planet fitness…..

My children and I were called "You people" by a lady there, tried to comfort management and she already went to speak with them before I could report her behavior. When I tried to go to the front desk, I was greeted rudely by another guy name Chris. He began shouting at me with hearing what happened and automatically took the lady who racially profiled myself and my children. He also threatned to cancel my membership as he claimed to be the vice president of Esporta and 7 other gyms. I found out the lady who racially profiled us is an instructor there. We are still shocked by the experience and coperate didn't handle it well either. Horrible experience

Gym is chronically overcrowded despite having less equippment than other gyms in the area. Lacks important equipment, forcing you to improvise for certain muscle groups. They only have 2 squat racks which is ridiculous considering the size of the gym and the overcrowding. They keep having issues with the sauna and havent been able to figure out how to fix the issue properly, the current bandaid fix they are using will surely expire soon. Some patrons are not respectful of the equipment and leave it all over the gym and not in its proper place. Weights are often piled on the floor directly next to weight racks. If you are time sensitive or take lifting seriously this is not where you will have the experience you are looking for.

I love this gym they accept my insurance and have lots of clean working equipment and I love the locker room with handicapped showers. They also have a great pool, hit tub and sauna!

So this company proceeded to continuously take money out of my bank account when I requested to close my membership. When I confronted the manager about the situation he only refunded me $10 for the child care. I am really disgusted with this company. So I got charged for about 3 months of membership and the last time I visited was in August.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a super long time and never faced any problems or adversity from others at the gym. It has become my second home not only from how nice it is but from how nice the people and the staff are, expecially the sales manager who always has conversations with me and my guys and shows genuine interest in our gym experience. I love this gym and believe that if your looking for a calm gym where you won’t he judged or bother this is the gym for you it has everything you’d ever want in a gym.

I got a free pass from the GM Tyler, got a pump in then Tyler kept pressuring me to sign up during my workout. These employees are so inconsiderate and I do not recommend this place. Not to mention when I talk to Tyler he rolls his eyes at me and only cared ab the sign up and not how I truly feel about the gym. I won’t be back. Tyler is not qualified for the GM Position.
