This location is filthy.
Disgusting even.
Archaic tracking, they haven't upgraded their app to allow you to track your fitness goals yet it's all pen and paper.
Signing up will take you 45 minutes of paperwork. They care more about their legalese than treating their employees right and taking care of the facility.
The classes are great but the speaker system is falling apart and they don't clean the fitness rooms.

Very poorly maintained and they probably don't pay anyone well enough to maintain it. Please pay for a janitorial staff daily. I took a phenomenal class with Jody and I loved every moment of it but the speakers kept cutting in and out and her poor microphone was breaking. Not to mention her and three other members of the class spent an extra 10 minutes cleaning off the glass before, during and after class because it was just so filthy they couldn't stop looking at it.

I'm new in town and tried to sign up for membership, but the whole process is incredibly cumbersome. Please don't sign up for a membership unless you are committed to spending 45 minutes signing paperwork.
They only offer three styles of payment plan and it's just whether or not you pay an upfront fee and a lower monthly or pay, no upfront fee and a higher monthly rate.
Want to do fitness training with a trainer? That's an additional up front fee and monthly fees.. they really love their upfront fees.

LA fitness still has you using pen and paper to track all of your goals with a trainer. They have an app but it's only purpose is to sort of show you the schedule of classes & you in.

The sauna was dirty. The railing was dirty. Literally when they took me on a tour, I leaned on the railing and got dust all over my coat. The women's bathroom ran out of soap over 3 days, several sinks did not have soap. Each time I went there, one more sink had no more soap... and no one refilled it. I saw the garbage can slowly increase in waste until they were overflowing over the period of 3 days. If you live with anyone that has a compromised immune system, please don't join this gym.

The desk staff don't want to be there, but the people responsible for getting your money certainly act like they do.
There's one lovely lady there who I think is just so exhausted. That smile is plastered on her face, and I don't believe they pay these folks enough to care.

This franchise could do so much better with how much they charge you monthly.
Disappointed. The only nice thing was Jodi and her class. She's phenomenal. Please give her more money.

Today, I tried to enroll, but I was using the “3-day Trial” offered on the LA website; however, Cassandra asked her employee to charge me a day pass. I would not like to work there. Cassandra told the employee that she had made a mistake before me. Who is responsible for training the associates, if not the manager? Who made the mistake then?
When I personally asked and showed her the website, she said it was invalid.??
In this moment, she was exalted. She told me twice that she is the General Manager - she thought I would hire her? 😏
When I left, I heard yelling from inside that it was a pleasure speaking with me! - in a sarcastic way that even some French people would be offended.
Results: I enrolled in the other LA facility and will use this facility because it is near and more convenient for me.

So I just finished my tour with Cassandra barber and it was the BEST tour ever. Even though I don’t live in the area and don’t have a LA fitness near my home town her attentiveness to making me feel welcomed was outstanding. Walked me around the gym , explained everything very well , and walked through the memberships they offer. The closet LA fitness to me is a 1 hour and 40 mins away from me and I think she convinced me to making that trip and signing.She makes the company look good with her great customer service and engagement to ANYONE who walks into LA fitness. LA FITNESS Henrietta NY is a great facility. Generally speaking, LA Fitness is notorious for members having a polarizing experience. This location actually values its appearance, its name and keeping things clean and orderly. Cassandra is the general manager and makes it a point to keep things running smoothly and her staff always keeps busy whether it’s greeting members or maintaining the facility. I travel for work and I’ve been to countless gyms. This facility has provided one of the few better experiences I’ve had. Keep up the great work!

Appreciate the amenities but I wish those hours were back to what they used to be M-F 5am-11pm and Saturday and Sunday 5am-8pm. Surprisingly I didn’t know how bad I needed those times. Update 9/22/25 the kids klub remains the hardest thing to be apart of they have no secondary personnel that can cover whenever anyone calls off . It’s immensely frustrating figuring everyone pays extra for that service

Wide variety of equipment and decent hours. There is however much room for improvement on the cleanliness of the facilities and replenishing paper towels and soap dispensers in the bathrooms. The drinking fountain is disgusting with caked up grime and broken pieces. There is often only one dispenser out of six in the bathroom with soap in it, and the paper towels are usually empty in the morning.

Highly unprofessional staff. Act like you can only work out there if you obsessively count macros and weigh yourself every day. Insulted me when i didnt wanna commit on the spot and the assistant manager lady said they only want people there who have goals and its not a place for people who just wanna work out 2-3 times a week. She argued with me about how she has the HUGE struggle of two kids and still goes to the gym so I shouldn't have excuses to go regularly. I think they forgot their job is to sell me on a membership. Best part is they told me "everyone knows what they're doing here and works through their machines quickly" and someone hogged the machine I wanted for 20 min the day I worked out there. This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with an LA Fitness center. Cancelling a membership here is a complete nightmare. I used to work out at this location and trusted the staff—only to be misled and charged an extra $59.

After requesting a cancellation, I was told there was no manager on-site and that my request had been forwarded to another LA Fitness location. They assured me it would be processed within a day, so I trusted them. A week later, I was hit with a $59 annual fee. When I called to follow up, they claimed I never made a cancellation request and told me I had to contact a different location to cancel.

The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place.

I had a disappointing experience at the gym’s front desk. Although they offered a free day pass, I ended up waiting 20–30 minutes due to disorganization and lack of attention. The staff seemed inexperienced and could really benefit from better training. The gym itself was overcrowded, and hygiene standards were lacking. I’ll be sticking with my other gym for better service and a less crowded environment.

Everything about this gym is great. The wise machine/exercise variety, the cleanliness, and especially the zumba instructors and personal trainers! My only complaint about this gym is the Men's locker room which is condemned to smell like sweaty stale gym clothes

I was just called by someone at this location. I was called as someone I know used my private number for a referral. After I picked up the phone the caller stated they were from LA Fitness in Henrietta, and I proceeded to say not to call me. The caller then said “brother man, this is a 3-day referral trial.” Being that I know no one that asked to give my information out, or myself signing up for a gym membership I said “I didn’t sign up for anything.” The caller then immediately hung up. I had to message all of my family, friends, and coworkers to find out 1) who is an LA Fitness member, and 2) Who gave my information out for a referral. After a long search, I found out who it was. If the caller had said “your friend, (name), gave us your info for a trial,” I wouldn’t have been upset. This was completely unprofessional and I DO NOT recommend anyone join this gym being the way that I as potential customer was treated.

La fitness is nice from standpoint of equipment and latour but it is filthy. I can’t beleive the county hasn’t shut it down as a public facility .floors always filthy even after cleaned casue never cleaned thoroughly . someone was bouncing a medicine ball on the turf and the plum of dirt coming up when it hit thr turf was blowing right over to me on my mat. Earlier their pool was open, but unfortunately they had to close it recently in 2024. The locker room, sauna and gym equipment are clean and the janitors are really respectful and nice! The front desk always greets us when we get in and I've noticed them saying goodbyes to those who leave after their workout. The manager, Chris M, went above and beyond to look out for my earphones that I lost it for a good week and half. He made sure to come up to me and hand it over when I was working out. You can tell the employees are genuinely working hard. I've trained previously with a trainer for personal training and I enjoyed it so much that I now train with them personally outside of this gym whilst still keeping my membership. They renovated with a turf and have the juice bar running.
With the perks the gym has, the employees going above and beyond, it's easy to overlook the little downsides, that's what makes this a great gym!!

We travelled to Rochester for the weekend from Ottawa for a hockey tournament.!LA Fitness set us up for the weekend with passes and gave us amazing customer service. Highly recommend this gym! Staff is amazing:)

This gym is gross bathrooms are a disaster regularly run out of wipes for the machines. For what they charge YMCA is a much better gym. $50 annual fee and $30 a month is far to much for this germ infested roach motel. Bring hand sanitizer if you work out here!

Been going downhill for months. They hired a new manager. Same issues. Sauna smelled like something died in it. So they closed it to clean it….perfect. No one turned it back on! Been off for 4 days.

my main issue is that any guests i have brought with me for a day, the company has been harrassing them with numerous calls, even after being told off, or blocked. they call from seperate lines. a friend of mine had them call him 3 times in 2days. that is not acceptable.

The persistent smell of the men's locker room makes this location embarrassing to be associated with. I've not encountered this type of pungent, unwavering force in any gym before, and it makes driving an extra 10 minutes to the perinton location well worthwhile.
