When I explained to the staff what was happening, they stayed silent… that’s because the employees are stealing weights. We all know what’s going on. First of all everything is really OLD ! (Gym equipments, lockers, bathrooms, showers, ETC.) Not clean enough and old. Entrance is really nice but when you get in once you will notice has lot of members coming in there and I think deserves better quality and the service. People going there to stress out. Also broken lockers, bed smelling locker room really needs Attention … :/ Your choice your life I think everyone deserves good quality and the service! Good luck!

This location needs to major renovation. It was good a few years ago but has since gone downhill and it's not because of covid. Machines are rusted. Took me 5 different treadmills to find one where the belt didn't slip almost causing me to fall and break my neck. There's so much potential with this location because it's huge and convenient. Put some fake grass in there and add some tires and push sleds! Change your all of the machines that are rusted. Maybe put some more lighting inside? I’m seeing that there’s a new general manager there. I really hope she does her thing and vamps this place up. I hate traveling all the way to Hylan blvd just for some new machines and an area for tire flips. - Will definitely update this review if any changes happen!

I'm a LA member for last 12 years at the gym facility on Veterans Road. It is always dirty on the gym floor and in the locker room as well. The equipment machines are not clean and disorganized. In the locker room alongside the shower area, it has a bad odor. The trash cans are over loaded. This place is very unsanitary, so therefore I'm very disappointed.

Although promised when I joined years ago that the equipment would be upgraded, I have many positive views of this location.
Let me start with the fairly new manager Stephanie. She is a breath of fresh air. She is friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable.
I love the Aerobics especially Zumba. Astrid, Mary, Chanelle, Ronelle, Trisha and actually all are great.
I always find the location clean and if any issues, Stephanie is sure to handle it. The front desk is friendly also.
I was a Bally member from 1980s and then Planet Fitness for a few years. I am so very happy I joined LA Fitness. It is great that you have 4 SI Locations and always a location to workout while on vacation.
In summary, Bravo to Stephanie and her staff at Travis Location.

This is not my usual LA fitness, went here for the hot tub and sauna. The sauna was crammed with teenagers in basketball gear for the entire time I was there. I didnt know the hot tub never works, decided to swim laps instead. The pool was nice enough and clean, but the showers were gross and the locker room smelled absolutely terrible, like feet and bo. Definitely shows its age and needs updates.

One of the oldest La Fitness clubs on the island and it shows. However, this gym has the most amenities: pool, sauna, cycling room, racket ball courts. Large area for free wts. Good amount of cardio equipment. The staff here is quite friendly.

There’s at least one thing wrong with the majority of the treadmills. Some are buttons, some aren’t level, and have been that way for years. Others just make so much noise you feel embarrassed using it. The carpets are gross from heavy use over the years. They decided to upgrade some of the TV’s but only upgraded about 8 out of 12. Imagine that. Overall the gym just feels very worn down. Hopefully someone from management’s sees this because I’d like to stay it’s a good location.

The gym needs improvement for sure. It’s great that it opens at 4am. Especially for someone like myself that lives on the island and works in the city. But I agree with some other reviews. The showers are gross. There’s hair everywhere. Also some of the showers in the female locker room over flow. The weights are never re racked. I get it. We’re adults and should be re racking our selves. But if you have an abundance of employees at the front desk with their feet up and gazing at their phones. Would it be a better idea to have them assist with re racking the weights?!?!? It took me at least 5 minutes to find a pair of 10lbs weights the other day. Please get some new treadmills! They’re so outdated! But overall huge gym but definitely need to work on cleanliness !

This LA fitness is not only well prepared to meet everyone's fitness needs from beginners to pro elite but the Manager Divine not o ly looks like what most men desire to look like but is a true professional when it comes to dealing with his members. However the gyms are worn down and your amenities are always broke a week out of the month. All the sales reps especially the Korean guy named Kenny are gonna Rob and lie to you to get you to sign up. There's a $50 annual fee they don't tell you about. Be careful cuz the first two months will cost you $300 plus to sign up. The sales reps lie saying that it's a sale price when it's not. Beware you've been warned through this review. Don't waste your time with this place. For example online will say one price and in-store is a bunch of other prices either way your gonna over pay for your "amenities" you don't pay the enrollment fee your gonna pay it through your monthly fees. Pros:
-we rarely have to wait to use a machine. It’s the only place the bench press, squat, and other important compound workouts are almost always available.

-they have a jacuzzi, basketball court, and racketball court. I love the racket ball court for cardio!

-they have a wide variety of workouts

-the lockers are free and includes a lock.

-no one harasses us and it’s easy for me to bring in guests.

-they have a juice bar.

Cons:

-the machines are old and run down.

-the scale is stiff / inaccurate

-the dumbbells are all over the place, and they lack 5-30 lb weights.

Ok let's start with pro's first Yes it's a huge gym has a pool and basketball Court and that's it..... Con's it's missing sanitizer wipes to clean the Equipment , the weights are all over the place and there is no one seems to care about it never seen a stuff trying to put weights back it's terrible , not enough smaller dumbbells 5lbs 10lbs 15 lbs they always seems missing , their state of the art equipment lol could see some better days don't get me wrong there is a lot of it ,but it's really used and abused, Can't tell much about restrooms and the pool area because I never used it yet if I will I'll update on it ....... I only give 2 stars because it's really close to my place other wise I'll give 1 I hope some of the menagers will read it and do something about it

The overall equipment and appearance is very outdated. Showers are gross and moldy.
The guy who sits at the counter every night is never at the desk where he should be scanning people in. Instead he goes to play basketball while leaving the front area unattended. How is this safe? It’s a safety issue at this point. People who are not members of the gym are sneaking in when no ones at the desk. What if there’s an emergency who should we go to?

The 7pm shift at the front desk still disappears so people come right in and don’t even scan..... Once again still a safety issue at this point.

I purchased a family plan and it didn't work out because of my brother's age. However when we went to cancel the plan, the general manager told us that he couldn't process cancellations after 6. The next day I went in and I was told all I needed to cancel the membership, was my NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. They made us wait and entire DAY just to give them information they already had. Terrible service.
