I honestly love this gym but can we get a later closing time . I work and go to school so
I really wish the closing time was like 11 or 12pm so I have enough time

I have never come here and the locker room is clean. I come here at 5 am as soon as they open. How is the gym dirty as soon as it opens? Trash is full, water bottles on the floor. What is this? Then i have to sign an annual contract?

I hate to rate my gym so low, but after to go here for a year, I don’t think it’s worth the price point. There is not that many machines, I think there should be at least two hip thrust machines, not one. There were two stairmasters upstairs, but one broke, and it was never replaced, now the second one is also broken. There is overall not that much space in the gym and I just think you can find a better quality gym Instead of this one for $90 a month. It was just a complete mess today, half of the yoga mats were ripped or destroyed. If I’m paying $90 a month I can expect you guys to at least order 10 more yoga mats.

TERRIBLE. So many machines are broken. The equipment in the "special rooms" that only tier 3 members have access to- BROKEN. Why am I paying more money to have access to more rooms but the equipment in the rooms are broken??? The gym is very dirty. I don't think I've ever seen a staff member wiping down anything in my year that I've been a member. The manager Phil- a joke. He gives you the run around and says he has "one person who I trust fixing all the machines, and each machine takes about 40 minutes to fix so its going to take some time". I am currently looking for another gym so I can cancel my membership. I go to the LEVEL in Yorktown and it is the complete opposite- nice & clean, with working equipment. Theres no reason why the Pelham location is in shambles. DO NOT join this gym.

The gym is crowded and small. No real workout equipment that are suitable for a proper workout. If you join they make you stay with them for a year. They are desperate for memberships. Do not join this gym.

DO NOT join this gym. Best thing I did was cancel my membership and not give them a dollar more. Not dealing with the disgust and disrespect of management. I’ve complained multiple times but the manager, Phil does not do his job and disregards member concerns. The unsanitary conditions are out of control. Dept. of Health should shut this place down. There’s mold on both floors, centipedes crawling around on turf, holes everywhere, lockers broken, floors are always soaked- injury claim, lack of sanitary stations, broken machines, lack of equipment. The sauna is disgusting - nails and wires also exposed. Do not join this gym. It’s a rip off and very unsafe and unsanitary. Comes down to management not doing their job. Phil should be fired.

I’ve been a regular at this gym, coming in multiple times a week for almost a year, but my recent experience with the manager, Phil, was disappointing. After checking in, I stepped out briefly to grab my AirPods from my car. When I re-entered, Phil stopped me in an unnecessarily rude and confrontational way, as if I were trying to sneak in. Instead of addressing the situation with professionalism, he embarrassed me in front of others and made no effort to apologize.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially from management. A simple, polite clarification would have been enough. If customer service and respect matter to you, I’d reconsider supporting this gym.

Phil, the so-called “manager” here, is a masterclass in patronizing and demeaning behavior. It’s truly fascinating (read: pathetic) to watch someone let a mediocre job title inflate their sense of importance.

Left 24hour fitness because of customer service and came here to experience even worse customer service. They try to upsell you the moment you walk in which wasted my workout time. My first time there I was only offered a tour if I was going to upgrade. Walked around like a lost puppy for the first few minutes lol. Asked where the sauna was and the front desk explained where it was instead of showing me. The locker room was dingy looking and feeling. Barely anything to wipe the machines down. Just an overall bad first time. Hopefully next time will be better and worth it.

The worst gym ever someone took $500 out of my locker with it being closed and my debit card. Every one there showed no compassion it is highly unacceptable for the price that you pay for this gym monthly and stuff like this to be going on. Yet alone I kept being harassed by one of the workers Kevin to sign up for trainer if I say no. No means no.

Maybe change the pricing of membership if most machines are not going to be working and in the women's locker room most lockers don't work. The only good thing is that the people that come here to work out aren't weird.

The best part is I don’t remember ever having to wait to use a machine, and that’s why I’m still here. The facility is poorly maintained. There are pieces of the flooring that are missing, the ceiling is often leaking or missing sections. About 5 of the treadmills are consistently not working or malfunctioning. The floor boards in the middle of the top floor are a complete safety hazard. I can’t speak for the men’s locker room but many of the lockers in the women’s locker room NEVER work. It’s been this way for at least over a year. There aren’t any towels or napkins/paper towels to dry your hands in the bathroom, just Kleenex. I guess thats better for the environment…..I guess. The maintenance staff is really nice but the locker room always looks and feels dirty, from the mirrors to the walls, it’s just bad. I do appreciate that there are almost always adequate wipes to clean the machines before and after use. All in all I’ve had these complaints for a while and for the price it doesn’t seem worth it. But like I said, I don’t usually have to wait for machines and I can’t say the same for most of the other gyms in the area.

They let a volleyball team practice inside of the basketball court from 4pm-8pm for like 2 moths but continue to charge people the same price to have access to the basketball court. It’s not fair to the people who pay extra just to play basketball and then it’s restricted.

I recently joined Level Fitness (Pelham) and, overall, have been satisfied with my experience. The gym provides all the basic equipment you would expect for a well-rounded workout, though it comes at a higher price point compared to other local fitness options. The facilities are clean, modern, and well-maintained, creating a more premium atmosphere, which is nice, but the value can vary depending on your fitness needs.

One thing to keep in mind is that some amenities are reserved for the highest-tier membership. Certain specialized spaces and equipment are only available to those with upgraded memberships, which could be a drawback if you have a standard membership and expect full access.

The basketball court is another key feature. While it is generally open during set hours, it is often reserved for leagues or events. Additionally, no matter which level of membership you obtain, you’re not allowed to bring a friend onto the basketball court although your membership allows you to. Lastly it is mostly available for casual use, it’s unavailable during peak times or when special events are scheduled.

A new addition to the gym is the pickleball court, which is a great option for those looking to try something new. However, it's not included in any membership tier. Members can rent the court on an hourly basis, with a discount provided for those with a membership.

In conclusion, Level Fitness (Pelham) is a solid choice for anyone seeking a clean, well-equipped gym with a more premium environment. Just be aware that certain amenities and spaces are restricted based on membership tiers. If you value additional flexibility and access to specialized features, upgrading to a higher membership might be a good option.

(See the attached for the basketball court restrictions)

It’s a love and hate relationship here. At $89 a month, I wish the cleaning was better. There’s a hand print on the mirror for weeks. When leading up to the bathrooms the floors looks like they need to be scrubbed. One time I guess they used an old mop and the gym just smelled like mildew. I wouldn’t take a shower there tbh but that’s just me. The gym is never too busy or crowded waiting for a machine etc. The instructors and classes are great!

I just started going to this gym with my boyfriend and now we both enjoy going to the gym more often. It feels less like a chore and more like fun with the amount of space there is and the options for private rooms since we have the highest level out of the membership options. I have no complaints because whenever I am there everyone is helpful and it’s been a great and comfortable experience.

Be very careful when signing the contract with them. If you want to cancel the contract for whatever reason, you have to pay $150 penalty and pretty much 2 months of upcoming gym Fee. like $150+$80+$80=$310. When we reached to gym staff and their billing department, they said that cancellation fee will be ONLY $150. We put prior notification 30 days before next billing cycle through email and phone, but they kept charging us for 2 more months. IF YOU ASK THEM ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THE EXTRA CHARGES, THEY WILL TELL YOU TO READ THE CONTRACT. EVEN THOUGH, THEY WERE THE ONES WHO REPEATEDLY SAID THAT CANCELATION FEE WILL BE ONLY $150. PRETTY MUCH THEY WILL LIE ON YOUR FACE AND MAKE THE PROCESS VERY COMPLICATED. I have never had this kind of experience with any other gyms that I have been to such as Gold gym, LA fitness....

I rejoined Level earlier this month, and I’m so happy I did. Fight Club is here!!! I’ve been searching for boxing/cardio kickboxing class that I would be comfortable in. I found it at Level, and it’s not intimidating at all ( or cheesy like other places I’ve been - you WILL kick and punch like crazy). Edwin Solis is the instructor (btw he’s a professional MMA fighter, Google it) and is so welcoming to his class, and had me go at my own pace since it’s been while since I worked out regularly. Needless to say I was impressed, and plan to go regularly. I highly recommend Fight Club to anyone looking for 60 min of pure fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🥊🥊🥊

My daughter joined level one fitness in Yorktown & recently upgraded so she can use the gym in other locations she visits the one in Pelham goes in with her badge smoothly & not 5 minutes into the gym the manager sends the front desk girl to tell my daughter she can’t stay there no explanation nothing wish made my daughter feel some type of way. As a manager myself I make sure that my company grows with diversity & make sure everyone feels welcomed. I will make it my business to find out the CEOs name and make sure that he knows what his manager at Pelham is did.

I joined Level Fitness in Pelham Manor just under 2 months ago and so far so good. It's always clean and well maintained. They have a nice selection of equipment and layout. The free weight section, where I spend 80% of my time, is not very big but one great thing about this gym is that I've never seen it packed to the point where you can't gain access to equipment, even during peak times. This was crucial to me! Phil, the Manager, seems very nice and polite and he always greets me when I see him. He seems to care about his members. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only gripe I have with this gym are the number of dumbbells. They only have one set of dumbbells per weight and several times people take them to different rooms and don't return them. This isn't fair to other members who want to use the dumbbells. I WISH THEY WOULD INVEST IN ANOTHER SET OF DUMBBELLS, especially the 20lbs.-65lbs. sets! Other than that, it's a great gym with ample parking.

It’s a beautiful facility, with lots of work out space and machines. But since lately it’s been filled with a bunch of young kids just goofing around taking space on the machines, women bathrooms are dirty, pool still hasn’t been filled. If it is not going to be filled then don’t promote on website or with membership because the one I pay for is supposed to give me access to the pool and it’s been two months and still no water. For the amount ones pays we should have access and facilities should be more up to par. The staff as well needs some customer service training.

Honestly, I am looking to head to this gym.
My present gym is closing its doors in a matter of hours/days as per the members. Management has not informed us, but many of us are looking into Level.
Phil has been very understanding and really supportive with many of us.

If you are looking for a new gym like me, head to Level Fitness. It is pricey but nice, if it is your fit.

I hope to make my decision soon.

After a three day trial, there’s no chance I’m joining this gym and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. The manager, Phil, is a decent guy but that’s the only good part of the gym. There’s no one at the front desk to check people in, and the outside of the gym looks pretty bad. It’s relatively quiet and the strength equipment is decent, but the most of the cardio equipment, especially upstairs is clearly 10+ years old and many of the machines don’t work properly.
The basketball, salt room, and multiple studios around the gym are restricted to top tier members, yet were completely empty; plus, they advertise a pool around the club, yet it’s indefinitely closed.
The locker room is clean, but many of the lockers don’t work, two showers are closed, and two toilets are out of order. To make matters worse, all three days I came to Level, there was a woman cleaning the locker room while men were changing, which the manager allowed.
Coming from a former 24 Hour Fitness member that’s just down the road, just spend your money there. It’s cheaper, newer, and cleaner.

Signed up during COVID ,great if you can afford the level 3 membership ,since it provides you with the private room and a cardio room( private room has a ton of box jumps, sand bags , back row ,squat rack and heavy bag & the cardio room has treadmills and trx ). The pros : Level feels more private ,sauna is cleaned often and so is the steam room ,in addition level 3 members have access to the salt room (for lungs and relaxation ) and a daily hydromassage. Regular members can still access the sauna and steam room. Cons : Sometimes non level 3 members sneak into the private room taking equipment or available spots. In addition, the gym rents out the basketball court depending on season making the level 3 membership a hindrance. Pool still isn't open as well. All in all if you are about your workout and want to get in and out level is for you at any membership price. Think LA fitness + ,I wish I could give it a 4.5/5 really.

Club Closing?
Does anyone know if this club is closing soon? It has the look and feel it is on its way out. They have decided not to fill the pool (they say it’s too expensive for the gym-but then why even bother acquiring the gym in the first place?), steam room has been out of order for a few weeks, showers and sinks are “out of order” and have no hot water and approximately 80% of the lockers don’t work. The parking lot and exterior looks disgusting. There is garbage and broken pavement pieces everywhere. The air vents are missing covers and are visibly filled with dust. I would definitely think twice before joining. I give it a few months tops by the way it looks.

Decent gym but the management is rude and disrespectful. Used one day on my 3-day pass and when I went back the 2nd time there was a discrepancy about how many days I had left. The manager, Phil, basically told me to either pay $30 for the day or I would have to join to enter. After some discussion, I agreed to pay for the day and his reply was "I don't think I want you as a member at my gym". Like I said, totally unprofessional and disrespectful. So I'll just take my business to 24 hr fitness across the street where they treat their customers properly or just continue my membership with blink fitness where I've been a member for years and never had any issues.

This gym has really taken a turn for the worse over the last few months. Definitely not worth the money. I'm not really sure what I'm paying for. When you pay $89.99 a month, you expect some type of quality/perks.

CONS:
-There are only two functioning urinals and two functioning toilets in the mens room (two have been broken for 4 months). There are also snot rockets above the urinals: they have been there for a few months as well...
-One of the sinks has been "taking a rest day" for about 3 months. It might seem petty, but it shows the lack of care when it's been broken for so long.
-Most of the mirrors show signs of aging and desilvering.
-The scale in the mens room doesn't show accurate readings.
-TV's in the mens room haven't worked in months.
-The water filter hasn't been replaced in over a month.
-The water in the showers never really get hot. And when you put it all the way to heat, the water just drips out.
-There was a massive leak from the ceiling last month over some of the equipment. Some of the paint chips drop on you while you're working out underneath it and the ceiling is still just hanging down.
-Most of the air vents are covered in dust or are missing the vent covers.
-Pool is permanently closed-management says its too expensive to reopen it.
-Still no towels.

PROS:
-The equipment is clean.
-The gym is never too busy.

This gym has so much potential but definitely needs some serious TLC. It seems like they are just giving up or planning on closing. If you're thinking about joining, take a look at 24-Hour fitness across the street after your tour of Level. It's more affordable and much better. I will not be rejoining Level when my contract is up.

This is my day one I haven't been to a gym in over 20 years. I took the day to get acclimated and I tried the elliptical, the stepper, and the bicycle. Ideally I'd like to do some of those weight machines but there are a lot of people and I was feeling uncomfortable so I went upstairs and just did a little 30 minutes on my own and went home. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be comfortable enough to try some of the weight machines and get a routine together. The gym is very clean and has lots of different machines and options to work plus it has a sauna and hydro massage chair. I definitely think it would be a good choice for anyone from a novice to an expert.

The management is horrible and entraps people in membership "contracts" and does not allow you to leave without a ridiculous hefty fee or ridiculous conditions that require violating your HIPAA rights or moving! Additionally this place is guilty of discriminating against POC and have kicked out friends of mine with no explanation or review into the incident. Also have been ghosted by management when mentioning this discriminatory behavior. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Let me explain how disgusting this gym is. I was leaving from the gym and I saw the manager Dina literally screaming at a kid for playing basketball in the gym. This Karen is a terrible person. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Don’t waste your money on these unprofessional people who don’t value customer service and don’t acknowledge their wrongs. I will make sure everyone knows about this gym and how they treat people. Do better!! If not, just put up a sign and say the type of people you really want in the gym.

Only issue I have:
Hours are somewhat restrictive compared to my availability:

(5am-9pm) M-Th
5am-8pm fridays, 7-5pm Sat and Sun.

Great place for a nice workout. It can get busy after school on weekdays but is usually not crowded. They have plenty of equipment for any kind of workout.

When are you going to have actual regular gym hours? 7am-3pm on weekends, are you kidding me? I work overnight and when I get home and go to sleep I can’t even go to the gym before I go to work on weekends. I’ve never heard of a gym only being open 8 hours on weekends.

The place was great until it changed name from Kinetic to Level. Then it all started going down. It’s hot inside. I asked about AC several times for months but first it was broken now they say they will forward the message to the Managment. I would say about 40 % of threadmills on upper level are broken for months. First they were labeled as “ I’m taking a day off” because of COVID but now it’s clear they are broken, even the ones that supposed to work don’t fully work. Changing rooms need some care too. So I don’t get it why they are so proud to be the best gym in 2019? Two years later quality is similar to gyms where membership is $20

I recently joined Level Fitness determined to “get back into shape.” I was a former member of some elite fitness centers previously in Manhattan but due to distance, and of course high monthly membership fees, I was at a loss. When I visited Level to inquire and get information ai was sold right off the bat. First Phil is incredible. He listened to what I was looking for in a gym, never was push about his approach and I found Phil to be knowledgeable. This place is incredible everything you could want in a gym and more. Believe me when I say, don't waist your time looking anywhere else. You will see the value right away when you enter the door!

Edit: (3/5/21) although its unfortunate that i had to make a complaint in order to be heard the staff was willing to work with me regarding the termination fee which i do appreciate.

Planet fitness quality gym with a high price tag. Membership costs were not adjusted for the decreased access to facilities during the pandemic. I get that things have to close for safety but if im not using them i dont want to pay for them. My contract term was automatically adjusted without my consent to account for the months closed during the lockdown. that is unfortunate but NOT MY PROBLEM AND NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY. Horrible mask enforcement with 0 repercussions for people who dont follow it.

This Gym is terrible I advise everyone not to go here their service is terrible !! Phil the manager is the only cool one, I literally got banned from here just cause I was playing basketball and I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to.Then on top of that theyre false advertising they’re making people pay extra money for 75$ and 100$ memberships and can’t Even have access to any of those exclusive things on your membership due to the pandemic so it’s no different from the regular 50$ membership so yeah they’re just scamming people.Trust me there’s plenty of other gyms that better then this piece of junk.

Best club I’ve ever been a member of in 40 years in some of the U.S. biggest cities. Immaculately clean, equipment ALL works, nothing broken and ignored, lots of space and different equipment and rooms to work out in, work alone or in a group and it’s all good, staff really helpful and CALM, no muscle heads in the group, superior lighting fits whatever the @ctivity is. This place has been PLANNED OUT. And this ALL affects WHO works out there and how people behave. Folks are serious and civilized about their workouts and all seem to feel a sense of responsibility to keep the place humming smoothly. I hope things don’t change and they start cutting corners one day, or start grabbing all the money they can by selling lots of cheap memberships to keep profits high and overhead low (meaning, they let the place get run down). Fingers crossed. They’ve been a real life saver during this miserable slog of a pandemic. Keep hope alive. Keep Level Fitness in Pelham a beautiful place to get and keep your groove on 😂😉👍 I’m sure that last line was a total give away about the age group I’m in...life is good :)

Nice looking gym but they do not enforce wearing a mask. The water filter on the ground floor is never replaced (literally not drinkable water). And way over priced. 1/2 of the stuff I payed to join the gym for are not even available and they won’t let you reduce your monthly payments or cancel your membership.

Inconsistent information from staff regarding canceling membership, resulting in an unexpected additional month’s charge to my account. I had no issues with customer service until it was time to cancel. For the price of membership, I had higher expectations of staff members. Greatly disappointed and wouldn’t in good conscience recommend this gym to anyone.
