LI Elite is a first-rate gymnastics facility with very knowledgeable and experienced coaches. After competing for 3 years, my daughter joined the LI Elite team last year and had her best season ever. Thanks to her coaches, Dina and Adrian, her skills for every apparatus greatly improved. They take the necessary time to make sure every skill is executed correctly and safely. Training at LI Elite is rigorous, but the coaches make sure it is also fun and enjoyable. The girls on the team are friendly and supportive, always celebrating when a new skill is learned, and consoling when things don’t go well. As most know, gymnastics is a demanding sport, both physically and mentally. The management team does a fantastic job of providing non-gymnastics opportunities for team members to just be kids and have fun. I applaud the management team for creating an environment that is supportive and emphasizes camaraderie and mutual care. Although it’s a longer commute for us compared to our previous gym (we live in Queens), we’re very happy we made the decision to join LI Elite.

Positive things to say! My daughter been going to Li Elite for 3 1/2 years. She has improved so much during the years. She currently has some awesome coaches that understand her and dont make her feel left out. Every child learns at a diffrent pace and her coaches have acknowledged this and understand her in her ups and down. Today she is a better gymnast thanks to LI Elite.

My daughter has been doing competitive gymnastics for several years. We joined the LI Elite team several months ago and are extremely happy here! The competition team is strong, supportive and pushes the gymnasts to grow in a positive, and focused, environment. What makes this gym so impressive is their knowledgable and dedicated team of coaches. They truly care about the girls and are a hard working group and talented group. I have seen tremendous growth since she has joined. I also appreciate the strong presence and involvement of their management/owners. The facility is beautiful and well equipped as well This is a great place for either competitive or recreation gymnastics is you want quality and to truly see results!

If you are looking for a gym with an amazing program and family environment, look no further! My daughter started her gymnastics journey with LI Elite 4 years ago. Starting in pre team and moving up to their competitive USA Gymnastics team. This will be her 3rd season competing for LI Elite and I can say hands down this is the best gym on Long Island. Having been to other facilities, LI Elite stands out from the rest, they have not only taken amazing care of my daughter but also great care of my son who attends camp during the summer months. We have done pre team, competitive team, summer camp and had their birthday party there and we couldn't be happier! The amazing support they have given my children and myself throughout the years, I will forever be grateful. All the coaches are knowledgeable, professional, kind and extremely supportive, always celebrating every victory, even the small ones. My favorite thing about being a part of the LI Elite family is how much they celebrate each child's individual accomplishments, the other day my daughter got a skill she had been working on for a while, when she finally got it the entire gym stops what they are doing and cheers. It is an amazing thing to see and be a part of! From the front desk receptionist Amy, the owners Dani and David, the head coach Dina and the other coaches, Adrian, Shenice, Sean, Steph, Chris we have always felt supported and encouraged and I can rest assured that when I drop off my children, they are in good hands!

I had a very disappointing experience with this gym. Over the summer, I clearly stated that my daughter would not be attending because she was away at camp. Despite that, my card was still charged for two months. When I called to ask why, I was told I needed to give one month’s notice to stop payments. The owner then told me I would receive a credit for September, but instead my daughter was dropped from the program and no credit was ever applied.

What frustrated me even more is the inconsistency. At one point, when I mentioned that I wanted my daughter to compete, the owner told me she was “so good” and gave me hope she was progressing. Yet, after taking just two months off for summer, I was told she would have to remain in the exact same class for another year. How does a child go from being praised for their talent to being told they can’t move up at all simply because they missed a short break?

In over a year of attending, my daughter was never moved up a level, and the only evaluation she had was because I specifically requested one. Communication has been poor—no updates on her progress, no check-ins, and no follow-through on promises made to me as a parent.

As a paying client, I expected better communication, fairness, and accountability. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I’ve since decided to remove my daughter and find another gym that truly values its students and families.

I am writing this review with deep disappointment after what my 8-year-old daughter experienced at this program. During camp, another boy touched her inappropriately. When I called to report this, the owner, Danny, initially defended the coach (Chris) and implied that my daughter should have told someone—when, in fact, she did. Only after I corrected her did she say she would investigate, and later she called back to apologize for the situation, which I was fine!

I move forward despite that rocky start. I had already planned to enroll her in classes and private lessons, costing over $600/month, to help her grow in the sport.

But after the incident, Coach Chris’s behavior toward her changed dramatically. He began to ignore her, refused to acknowledge her greetings, and even told her to leave in front of her peers during a private class day—embarrassing her and making her feel forgotten. My daughter kept saying, “Mom, I think Coach Chris forgot who I am,” even though she tried to interact with him.

I sent a detailed email to the owner, Danny, outlining my concerns and the impact this had on my daughter—but she never responded or even acknowledged it. That lack of accountability and communication is incredibly disappointing. This review is being posted only as a result of not being acknowledge for the lack of professionalism of staff.

My daughter did nothing wrong—she followed the rules, told an adult, and trusted the program to protect her. Instead, she was made to feel like a problem for speaking up. I cannot, in good conscience, enroll her in a place where a child feels singled out and unsupported after reporting inappropriate behavior.

A program that works with children must prioritize their safety and emotional well-being, communicate openly with parents, and ensure that staff handle sensitive situations with professionalism—not resentment.

This is now my daughter's third year at Elite and we love it! Mrs. Renee has always been super helpful and friendly so not sure how anyone could possibly have an issue. If you email questions and want advice she guides on what may be best. My daughter loves her coaches! She has grown tremendously and has benefited greatly from the ability to take privates on the weekend. I appreciate the feedback we get after classes when we inquire on how she did and what she can work on more. All her coaches have been very helpful. My daughter loves Coach Tyra! My only reason for leaving off a star is the inconsistency with the coaches for the Rec class levels 1 and 2. Especially the 2's. They will need consistency and coaches who see where they are to continue to advance to team levels. Sometimes the 1's and 2's are mixed and I don't think that is helpful. I do know they are working on it because I have asked so it is a work in progress for consistent strong staff for the Rec level classes.

Okay so I’m actually appalled right now. I brought my niece to her class and intended to stay and watch. However, the person at the front desk (I WISH I GOT HER NAME) came and let me know I couldn’t stay. I said no problem at all because I understand the times we are living in. This is my first time bringing my niece to her class which I also think is a red flag because anybody could’ve dropped her off or picked her up … No greeting smiles nothing . Okay so I ask the lady what time is this over, she says which class ? 7:30 !!!!! So I went to the parking lot and sat there waiting for 7:30 to come in and get her . It was 7:20 when I got a call from my brother stating my niece is hysterically crying because she thought I forgot about her and left her !!!!!! This is actually terrible . FIRST OF ALL, the class ended at 7:00 … & there was no attendance taken or sense of security because I’ve never brought my niece there and no one cared to even ask who I was or anything. WHEN I PICKED UP MY NIECE SHE WAS ALONE IN THE WAITING AREA WAITING FOR ME CRYING HER EYES OUT. She broke my heart and I’m very upset. I do not think how this situation was handled it right especially when dealing with children ….. DO BETTER !!

My daughter recently switched to LI Elite and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. This is a wonderful gym to continue my daughters gymnastic training. The coaches are amazing, hard working dedicated & professional. The staff is always friendly, happy and positive. Renee, the front desk manager, is especially warm & friendly. She really goes out of her way to greet everyone and is always smiling. A recent incident I witnessed showed Renee to rise above with class and professionalism. Please do not let one parents silly tantrum about a light switch deter you from checking LI Elite out.

My 3 year old just started couple of weeks ago and she absolutely loves it ! She talks about going to gymnastics everyday and can’t wait to go back! All the staff members have been very nice and friendly and very through as far as covid 19 safety measures!
So far very pleased !

What’s not to like? Gym and equipment is brand new, facility is clean and sanitary, staff has first hand knowledge of the difficulties of this amazing sport, coaching is top notch. I cannot express how happy my daughter and I are to be here!

My daughter just moved over to this gym and she absolutely loves it. This gym is brand new everything inside is new. The staff is profesional and pleasant. If you have a child that is serious about the sport this is the place to be. The coaches are experienced and pricing is fair. Can’t wait till they start to compete. 😁From A Happy Parent
