Cannot recommend this studio enough. Neelu is an incredible instructor and so knowledgeable. Classes are the right balance of low impact but still make you feel like you’re getting stronger. We loved our birthing class as well. Any pregnant mama to be should come here!

Love Child is truly an amazing resource for pre and postnatal folks! The prenatal yoga classes were a great way to stay active and prepare my body for birth, prenatal massages with Brandy were absolutely wonderful and significantly helped my pelvic dysfunction (LIKE WOW, THANK YOU BRANDY), and the new parent circles have been a great source of support and information. I look forward to their baby and me yoga classes next. Love Child has really been such a lovely and intimate experience, something hard to come by these days. THANK YOU, NEELU. I highly recommend!

I have been going to prenatal yoga since I was about 12 weeks pregnant and have had the best experience! I am now 26 weeks and plan to continue through to the end of my pregnancy. Highly recommend Love Child!

Adding to my review since giving birth!

I continued attending classes up until two days before I went into labor! I did various yoga poses throughout labor and know it helped my little one come into the world safely (and swiftly!).

In addition to regularly attending classes, I saw Brandi (magician or masseuse, unsure) for prenatal and postnatal massages and Connie for acupuncture. While I loved all of the classes and supports, the best part of Love Child is the camaraderie, support and friendships with other moms as I navigated new motherhood. I so recommend all the supports LoveChild has to offer during such a transformative time. We love LoveChild!

I recommended Love Child to a friend, without ever having been & long before I was pregnant and in a position to join myself. I'd come across it online and it sounded like the most wonderful place to practice yoga, while also offering holistically minded advice in all aspects of pregnancy. Subsequently, I signed up very early on in my pregnancy and never looked back. As someone with a vigorous exercise background, having a grounded & calming, yet challenging, prenatal yoga practice that kept in mind growing bellies and exhausted mamas to be, while offering targeted strengthening to get them through the coming months and inevitable labor, was exactly what I needed.
The support outside of the physical practice was second to none. Neelu was instrumental in helping me to change care providers when I decided that I wanted to deliver with a midwife, rather than an OBGYN, and spent time before and after class, as well as over email, helping me to figure out options. Among many other things, she helped me understand what certain aches, pains and general changes in my body could be a result of, reducing my stress and worry and making things feel normal! The resources available - such as the amazing massage therapist Brandi (honestly, best massages I've ever had!) and the incredible Connie who offers prenatal acupuncture (I was terrified of acupuncture before I had a session with Connie, but she soon changed that with her calm and thoughtful treatments) all add to the Love Child experience.
While everything around me felt like it was changing - physically, emotionally and mentally - knowing that I had my regular, almost daily, prenatal yoga practice kept me feeling grounded and in control.
Despite my pregnancy falling throughout the pandemic and therefore classes being online I never felt like I was missing out, rather the opportunity to practice, without having to travel to class (I live in Brooklyn) made things so much easier.
I am so grateful that I found Love Child – I feel like my pregnancy and birth would have been very different without the support it has offered me. And as much as I learnt to let go and enjoy my changing body as I moved through my pregnancy, the post-natal yoga is now helping me to thoughtfully rebuild my strength and readjust to my post-partum body. Thank you Neelu & love child!

I walked by Love Child many times before I was pregnant and loved the peaceful looking space. Mere days after seeing my positive pregnancy test I popped in, feeling overwhelmed by all the newness coming my way. I spoke to Neelu and Holly inside about membership, and left with a sense of calm and comfort.

Fast forward a bit to the end of the first trimester. I finally felt up to more movement and was already noticing the effects of my body changing. Now was the time to sign up, although looking back I wish I’d done it sooner for the energizing and relaxing effects to take hold even sooner.

Throughout my pregnancy I went to yoga classes, childbirth classes, and more and absorbed the knowledge and positive energy shared amongst everyone who came through those doors. Any questions or worries I had were met with kind, thoughtful and comforting answers. When I felt uneasy about my initial OBGYN choice, I was given a wealth of resources and information to help me make the decision that was right for me. I hired Holly as my doula which was the best investment I made for the birth of my son. Both myself and my husband felt educated and empowered throughout the end of my pregnancy, during and after the birth.

Our son was born mid-February 2020, and a few weeks into his life the world changed with the spread of COVID-19. I had had the opportunity to attend in person postnatal yoga classes and a few new parent circles prior to the shelter in place order, and was so impressed with how well Love Child pivoted to support new and becoming mothers throughout all of the upheavals. From live streaming the in studio classes to zoom classes and on demand content, they have been doing everything to be relevant and helpful as ever. Now we have had the joy of joining some socially distanced outdoor classes for myself and my son. Between the physical recovery, the text support, and the social connections and support offered through Love Child’s online components I was able to feel very much a part of the community, rather than the isolation of new motherhood compounded with that of life during shelter in place orders.

My experiences at Love Child made me feel calm, supported, and educated throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods. I would whole heartedly recommend membership to anyone interested.

Love Child has been an integral part of my family life since last April when I was 4 weeks pregnant. Holly, Sarah-Grace and Neelu supported me throughout my pregnancy and my son's early life. While pregnant, Love Child's pre-natal yoga classes helped me stay physically fit and emotionally grounded, and every teacher helped me (and the other expectant mothers) tweak their routines to accommodate the evolving aches and pains of pregnancy. I took Holly's prenatal circles and Neelu's childbirth ed course during my second trimester, and by the time I was nearing my delivery I felt well informed, incredibly well supported and thoroughly prepared for birth.

After my son was born I continued with postnatal strength classes which truly helped me regain my abdominal strength after nine months of growing a human. Tiffany's new parent circle was so informative and supportive, and it connected me to a network of wonderful new moms who regularly share resources and help one another out.

When Covid moved classes online, I continued postnatal yoga and strength classes which helped me stay active and grounded, and also began taking several online baby classes each week. From music classes to baby sign language and itty bitty baby yoga, Love Child have a diverse schedule which has helped create fun, developmentally driven activities for my son (which I look forward to as well!)

Whether you are reading this review during social distancing or in a time when we can once again gather in public, if you are pregnant or have a young child I can't recommend Love Child enough. I hope they can become a part of your family too.

Love Child Yoga has easily been one of the highlights of my pregnancy. The prenatal yoga classes are incredible--very well-informed yet enjoyable teaching in an intimate setting, where the teachers spend time getting to know every single member and checking in on them throughout their pregnancies. I also took the childbirth education classes via Love Child and found them to be very thorough and informative. Love Child connected me with my doula, and offers many other services and referrals to acupuntunture, pelvic floor, and nutrition specialists. Several months into my membership, the physical studio was forced to close due to COVID-19, but the team managed to seamlessly transition to online classes immediately, which have been a lifesaver during the past three months of quarantine. The silver lining is that now the studio is accessible to people outside the immediate geographic vicinity! It is rare to find this level of community and personalized, inclusive support, especially in a big city such as New York, and the care and intention that Neelu and Holly put into everything they do is really extraordinary. I look forward to continuing my membership into the postnatal phase. Thank you, Love Child!

Love Child is much more than just a yoga studio. The team go above and beyond to create a community that makes every member feel valued and supported. They helped me navigate through each stage of pregnancy and new motherhood with such care and kindness. Through the pandemic they’ve continued to provide a five star service; all yoga, community and kids classes moved seamlessly online, and recordings are available so you can join when time / baby allows! I cannot recommend Love Child enough for yoga, support groups, pregnancy and childcare education and as a way to meet other parents; it’s a very special place - either at 1 Horatio Street or on Zoom!

I’ve been a Love Child member since being 3 months pregnant and have literally taken all of the services they have to offer because they are stellar -- from prenatal yoga, birth classes, and doula services to postnatal yoga, new parent circles, and baby classes with a now 3 month old. The new parent circle is especially great - helpful discussions when you need the support most AND meeting new friends and babies in the area :)

Love Child is a very special place— building a community of parents in the West Village with a neighborhood feel that you don’t find anymore (especially in NYC). All of the instructors are warm and welcoming and know you and your baby by name. Neelu, the founder, is especially amazing - a great teacher, incredibly caring, and an expert at what she does. I couldn’t recommend Love Child more as it has simply made my maternity experience. Thank you LC!

I fell in love with Love Child Yoga from prenatal yoga all the way through my son's first year with the children's classes. They create a community of moms and expertise that is informative, non-judgemental and warm. I really don't think I could have gotten through my pregnancy and birth without their classes and guidance. I loved my at-home post-partum yoga session. I honestly can't wait for future pregnancies so I can do it all over again!

Absolutely love love love LoveChild. I cant say enough great things about their yoga and kids classes! I really enjoyed attending yoga throughout my pregnancy and was able to get right back into it after my child's birth with their mommy and me yoga class. Its a truly unique experience where you get to know other moms while also socializing your child in a warm and caring environment. My child lights up whenever the teachers greet him at the door.

I couldn’t possible adore Lovechild more! We started attending classes at the studio when I was pregnant for our prenatal prep, and also found our amazing doula through Neelu. After our son was born, we began taking classes with him and have never stopped! For newborns on up, their wide variety of classes gives you something new to try each day of the week, and for every stage of development. From music, to sensory art, to French and Spanish language class, our son is always engaged. It truly is our village in the village, where a community of parents and caregivers looking to expose our children to safe, happy, and engaging exploratory play can come together ♥️

Neelu, Holly and the team at Lovechild have been the most wonderful and supportive community for me throughout my prenatal, postpartum and parenting journey. Lovechild is SO much more than just Yoga and I don’t know how I would have prepared and survived the journey that is new parenthood without them! From amazing prenatal yoga which truly helped me to not only prepare for birth but through all the aches and pains of pregnancy to acupuncture, new parents circles, postnatal strength, baby and me yoga and other baby and children’s activities Lovechild is really a one stop shop for any new or expecting parent. The incredible, high quality services offered at Lovechild are really just the tip of the iceberg I feel so grateful to be a part of the amazing community that Neelu has created. Her true passion for Lovechild clearly shows every day through the genuine care and concern she has for all members of the community. I feel so fortunate to have met so many like minded people and have a warm, caring and open place to go that truly feels like an extension of my own home. I truly could not recommend Lovechild more!

Love Child is incredible. I've been a member since the beginning of my second trimester and can't speak more highly of the classes and community. Neelu has a truly well defined vision -- to make sure that new parents feel they are supported, especially in a city which is often times lonely for new parents.

Even though I was active before pregnancy, I would not describe myself as a "yogi". The prenatal yoga and post-natal strengthening is super challenging in a way that weight training and running isn't. I also love the New Parents Circle. Just come as you and your little one are! It's an incredible hang out spot as well. My husband has also enjoyed the Dads Group!

Most importantly, I didn't realize that breast feeding (especially in the beginning) would be challenging. Every member receives a free lactation consult and mine couldn't have come at a better time. As soon as I arrived home from the hospital, Neelu came over and walked me through certain positions for three hours. She was absolutely patient and thoughtful. I've also been to the breastfeeding support group and again have been super impressed with Neelu and her team!

We don't have any family in the City, but with Love Child it certainly feels like we do!

Love Child has been my go-to pre and post pregnancy. I started going to prenatal yoga and enjoyed the calm and inviting atmosphere. Neelu is an amazing yoga instructor, breastfeeding specialist and birthing resource (not to mention owner of this amazing place). She helped me prepare through my entire pregnancy offering different classes at Love Child such as labor and delivery and how to take care of a baby. Now, 3 months after I have given birth, my little one and I continue to go for Baby and Me Yoga, music classes and open play. The community at LC is one to become apart of during this very important and special time of your life. I am so happy to be a part the LC community.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

Love Child Yoga was a life saver for me! I met Neelu during one of her prenatal yoga classes. I immediately felt at ease in her studio -- small classes, personal attention, and overall great yoga routines. After taking a few classes I decided that Neelu was the right doula for me. Her calm demeanor and desire to help women plan their child's birth the way they want to was exactly what I needed. During my third trimester, she helped guide my husband and me through our many questions and concerns -- there were many, given it was my first pregnancy. On game day, she provided the perfect amount of support and advocated my needs at the hospital. In the end, I was able to have the birth I imagined and can't help but to think that Neelu played such an important role in this life changing experience! Afterwards, Neelu provided support and checked in with me on a weekly basis. I can't thank her enough for her postpartum support!

Love Child is the absolute best! I started going to prenatal yoga with Neelu last year and have continued to practice yoga there with my now 11 month old son. Neelu creates a beautiful experience for expecting moms as well as for moms with their babies. She has created a wonderful community in Love Child. My son loves going to yoga each week and is so comfortable in the space. The prenatal work I did with Neelu absolutely helped me through a very long labor and delivery. I can't say enough positive things about Love Child!
