Lovely space! I prefer hot yoga but in the summer months it’s too much, this is a great way to get a gentle, grounding, but still firm workout. Big plus it’s two blocks from my apartment. Fabulous vibes.

The studio has such an incredible vibe. I specifically come here from Manhattan to practice yoga, and I always bring a friend along so we can grab dinner at one of the neighborhood restaurants. It’s become a tradition. Lauren, who owns the studio, oversees the entire teaching staff diligently so the classes and teachers are consistent and high quality. I’ve always wanted to do the teacher training program at Lucent too. If you are looking for a clean upscale Brooklyn neighborhood studio this is the place. Lucent is a wonderful community you should not hesitate to join.

I love this studio so much. The community is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the instructors are awesome. They also have great workshops and retreats pretty regularly and every workshop that I’ve done with them has been incredible. I’ve done the yin yoga sound baths, the holotropic breathing workshop, and the 200 hour yoga teacher training….all were amazing experiences and the yoga teacher training changed my life (I know this sounds dramatic…but it’s true). I’ve done yoga for about 15 years and when I moved to New York I had a hard time finding a studio that consistently taught traditional vinyasa flow classes that focused on mind, body, and breath …but lucent does just that. The studio owner is very involved in the studio as well and is herself very welcoming and friendly, you can tell she is passionate about the work she is doing with the studio and for the community and it shows. Very grateful to have found this gem in greenpoint.

In 2024, I’ve already attended more than three sound baths at this location, and they’re absolutely incredible—lightly energizing with a touch of reiki. The woman who leads them is amazing, and I can’t keep this to myself—you have to try it!

I took a class in McGolrick park. I could only hear about half of the instructions, which was frustrating. I mentioned it to the instructor after class and she shrugged and said there wasn't anything she could do.

Cute local yoga spot, teachers vary so just try different classes until you find one you like. On ClassPass, has a great new student unlimited week deal. Mats are a little old/not cared for, so optimally you would bring your own.

Clean, bright, inviting studio with an unpretentious vibe. Lauren is a thoughtful and creative sequencer. Classes are challenging yet doable for most levels, and assists and support are offered so you can experiment in a safe way. Everyone got a little neck/shoulder massage during savasana, which was an extra treat. I always learn something new from Lauren. I also highly recommend Amanda's class and I look forward to trying out the other teacher's classes, as well!
