I can’t say enough wonderful things about Julia and her studio. She is an incredible coach—supportive, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to helping you become the strongest, healthiest version of yourself. She really knows her stuff and understands exactly how to challenge you in the right ways to meet your goals, whether it’s better movement, increased strength, or simply feeling more confident in your own body. She has helped me get a healthier path.

What makes her exceptional is how personally she approaches every session. She knows how to tailor each workout to your unique needs, limitations, and abilities so that you feel empowered, safe, and capable. Her guidance has helped me move better, feel stronger, and live more fully.

I highly, highly recommend her—she is the best around. If you want someone who genuinely cares about your progress and knows how to bring out your best, she’s the one.

I’ve been taking classes with Julia for about four years now, ever since I first met her through PiYo classes at the college and even back then I was raving about her to anyone who would listen. She is truly one of a kind.

She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the body, meticulous in her instruction, and genuinely cares about helping every person move safely and correctly. She doesn’t just cue shapes, she teaches you how to engage the right muscles, understand your alignment, and build real strength and body awareness. Her attention to detail is unmatched!

I’ve followed her from day one and will continue to follow her wherever she goes. Getting back into my first love (ballet ofc 🩰) has been pure joy, and her classes have reminded me why movement feels like coming home.

On a more personal note, I’m honored to now call her a friend. When I went through a really difficult period in my life, training with her was one of the things that kept me grounded and moving forward. She creates an environment that is supportive, encouraging, and genuinely healing.

Watching her open her own studio has been incredible. She’s built something special, intentional, and full of heart. If you’re looking for ballet, Pilates, strength-training or any mindful movement with an instructor who truly knows her craft and cares deeply about her students, you won’t find anyone better!

Making Moves Fitness and Dance is a supportive and motivating environment for anyone looking to enhance their movement practice. From Pilates to more general fitness classes you will not be bored, you will be challenged, and, most importantly, you will be instructed/lead with care and expertise. Owner and instructor, Julia, is knowledgeable, warm, and fun! I have multiple injuries and a chronic illness that affects my movement practice. Julia has helped me in numerous ways from rebuilding important foundations through Pilates to challenging me to engage my body in ways I never thought possible! I have been coming to Mat Pilates classes and Full Body Sculpt classes at Making Moves with Julia since she opened her doors in Clinton. I enjoy her bright energy, ability to meet her clients’ needs and to also modify some moves for those of us with some mobility issues as needed. I recently started Reformer sessions too and have enjoyed the 1:1 time working on some of my strength and agility goals. In addition to attending classes or sessions a few times weekly, my 17 year old daughter also enjoys coming to Julia’s studio too and is welcomed and challenged as a young athlete and dancer. We continue to look forward to growing in strength, focus, agility and mobility all with a welcoming smile and sometimes a good giggle with Julia at Making Moves.

Fabulous boutique Fitness Studio! Smaller class sizes give you the attention of a personal training session while still enjoying the community of a group class. Instructor Julia's energy and good-natured humor make it fun to get fit. Classes are invigorating but she is very sensitive to individual fitness levels and needs. Classes are designed to promote health and vitality without injury. The wide variety of class formats makes it easy to practice a favorite or try something totally new, no matter what shape you're in. I highly recommend Making Moves!
