I never liked going to the gym until I found this one right here. The max has changed my life. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you move your body.Any level and we even are silly at times. Physical activity is the fountain of youth not only physically but mentally as well. I know I have a daily appt. To see my friends at 5,6,7,9am or 4:15 or 6pm.

The Max Staten Island - Arthur Kill is by far the best gym. I never was a gym person. I made a million excuses as to why it wouldn’t work, my age, bad knees not able to keep up. I waited months to join but finally decided to try it, that was 7 years ago and now I can’t imagine not starting my day off with Lisa the owner and my 5am class. Yes, from thinking I couldn’t do to getting up and starting my day off at 5am. It was the best decision I ever made. Lisa helped me by modifying exercises I couldn’t do at first to just keep moving. Many of the exercises I modified over time I have been able to master. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Lisa truly cares about each member and makes everyone feel welcomed and capable of doing everything. It truly is a family not just a gym. Take it from a non believer, don’t put off joining. It will be the best decision you ever make for yourself.

This is hands down the best gym program ever. The instructors actually teach you the exercises. The people who participate in the classes do not judge at all. No one puts you down. we lift eachother up. The classes are great. Killer, but great and you go at your own pace. Ive been coming to max of sharrots and arthur kill for 8 years and hoping to continue for many more years to come. Lisa Cartolano is a fantastic owner and has become a good friend. I’m so glad I finally joined the Max Challenge on Arthur Kill after years of procrastinating. I’ve always hated the gym. I joined many different gyms in the past and in the end just never went. Max was completely different for me. The greatest 45 min workout with the best trainer and the best, most friendliest group of ladies. I enjoy it so much, I attend regularly, finished my 10 week challenge and have joined as a legacy member. Love my Max family and highly recommend. Give it a try!

The Max Challenge of Arthur Kill is an incredible place to go if you are looking for a better way of life. From the meal plans to the incredible workouts it’s absolutely life changing. I was an instructor here and loved every second of it. The staff and owner are incredible and great to work with and for. I learned a great deal here and have watched people grow into healthier people. The Max family here is truly a family. We push each other to strive for success and have seen incredible outcomes. Everyone pushes beyond their goals for success. In part that is due to a fantastic owner and an outstanding staff. Before becoming and instructor I had such an incredible max journey here and besides losing weight had the ability to learn things to have a healthy relationship with food. As an instructor I was taught by the best and learned from everyone I worked with. I highly recommend that if you have been afraid to take a step in your health journey that you go and start here. Wasn’t really sure what to expect 4+ years ago when I stepped into the Max for the first time. I was greeted by a fabulous trainer and friendly members. They took me under their wings and I fell in love. They provided the motivation to stick with it all these years. I am a proud member of the 5:00am family (yes, it’s gotta be really good to get up that early). We work hard but have a ton of laughs. Over the last 2 years, we have made memories that will keep us entertained for years to come. All it takes is a phone call to find out the class schedules and give it a try. No regrets, I promise.
