This place means a lot to me. After long-term of babysitting and parenting of four kids, I was so much exhausted and weak yet gained lots of weight. I wanted to change but I didn't know what to do. One of my friend told me about MAX VELOCITY, and I called coach KEN. That moment started to change me, my body, even my mind. I love to go to this place and work out there. A customized team training workout without astronomical personal training costs! Small group setting, clean and fully equipped studio with friendly, motivating and experienced trainers. I always feel challenged, but not pushed beyond my abilities. My back, hip and neck pain have vanished due to consistent strength training, core work and proper stretching all incorporated into the various workouts. Everyone that works out here is friendly and encouraging. A truly one of a kind experience. Parking lot is a major bonus, too.

I'm having a great experience at Max Velocity. My story: I came in with 3 different injuries: partial tear meniscus right knee, 99% healed fractured left ribs AND a frozen right shoulder. After finding MV (which is in the basement) & the blessing of Physical Therapist, I met up with Ken. He didn't blink at my injuries. Ken, Bryan, Aja & Alexa are super knowledgeable, awesome coaches always with a smile, a greeting & asking about myself. Its a small gym which means personal training on some days & group with others depending if other members come. Ken, Aja, Bryan & Axela's passion shines brightly. If the thought of a global gym is intimidating-please, come to Max Velocity you won't regret it.

Ken and the staff are highly trained and wonderful to work with. They are very technical and always make sure that movements are taught and executed correctly. They are very conscious of injuries and despite any personal limitations, they insure your get an incredible workout. Max Velocity is an amazing place to workout. Coach Ken and his team treated me like family, and was always there to help me out. If it wasn't for the fact that I moved out of the area, and my I didn't have a crazy schedule, I would still be going there.

What a find! This place is definitely the best gym experience I've had. They really know how to push you to the point where you can safely explore your limits. That is the proper way to get stronger, faster, more mobile, and they do it will. There are multiple classes that I have been going to. A lot of focus on functional exercises, core work, and endurance. I've been going here for over 1 month and it has been incredibly helpful.
I've mainly worked with 3 trainers here. Ken, Kim, and Aja (unfortunately Kim moved to another state). Ken and Aja are amazing, and they really make you feel like you're a part of something. My body and ability to do things in the real world has definitely benefited, and I thank them.
I can't say enough good things about this place.

Back in Bayside for the summer visiting family and Max Velocity was the perfect solution for my 1.5 month stay. Loved the convenience of getting there with plenty of street parking and class times were perfect for any busy schedule. Joining Max Velocity fitness is like joining a family. Coach Ken is incredibly knowledgeable in nutrition, mobility, strength training, and overall fitness. He understands the challenges advanced athletes face as well as the obstacles and concerns beginners have. Often times I have gone to gyms where I felt "not good enough" to perform certain exercises, leading to a lot of frustration and often times, resulting in injuries.
