Was doing a nurse contract. No understanding with me dealing with a family emergency and charged me a month I didn’t even get to come in, not one day in the month. Explained this to them and had delayed response. Never got my refund. Just because I’m a nurse doesn’t mean I can just throw away money, especially when I specifically requested for the refund. Highly disappointed. Ruined my experience with the company.

This is a true 5 star gym. I did one month here while visiting the area for work. The classes challenge you and the coaches push you. I was soaking wet every class.. I wish there was one of these closer to where I live. I miss it already

I was a member at metabolic for about 2 years. I ended up leaving for year but found myself coming back because you just cannot beat the workouts. After trying several other gyms, none compared. The coaches are all so supportive and motivating. They treat you like family and genuinely care about the progress you make. It’s such a nice 45 minutes to be able to walk in, not have to think about what workout you’re going to do. You’re given everything, you just have to put the work in. It’s such a fast calorie burner and they’re just fun!

I have been a member of Metabolic CP for 6 years and you absolutely can not find a better gym around. They work with you, explain all of the exercises to make sure that you are performing them correctly and keep a close eye on you to make sure you are not cheating yourself. They are about your fitness goals and work to help you achieve them. I have loved being trained by Lyndsey, Tim, Ali, Laura, Molly, Drew, Courtney, Jeff, Abby and David. Highly recommend them

Great place to workout. This style of training can be part of anyone's routine. From strength training to muscular endurance, to cardiovascular health. You'll burn calories and get stronger. I have been a member in Clifton Park since May '23. I had researched and been told that strength training is crucial as we age (63) and for any weight loss plan. From the fellow members, to the coaches, to the ever changing templates and playlists, this workout is the perfect match for me. The coaches are fun, encouraging, motivational and knowledgeable. The exercises are challenging but doable. I have lost weight but more importantly, gained strength, balance and confidence in what my body can do.

Loving my experience at Metabolic in Clifton Park. Abby, Drew, Courtney, and Reagan have been really great to work with. Workouts can be very difficult, but every exercise comes with explanations and various options to tone them down to whatever level you are at. People of all shapes and sizes are welcomed and made to feel good about each and every workout. I'm older and larger and have never felt out of place. Trainers are also sensitive to injuries and provide plenty of alternatives to avoid further risk. Finally, the routines are fun and the time flies by. I'm a fan.

I joined Meta back in 2016, coming in as an accidental cardio bunny. I didn't lift heavy weights on purpose out of fear I'd get bulky. (I know, Tim. I know.) I fell in love with the workouts, but more than that the people. The trainers here are top notch human beings who push you to be the best version of yourself, who know just the right thing to say to get you into (or out of) your own head. It's a super special, incredibly welcoming place. Seven years later, I can say with confidence that lifting heavy weights won't make you bulky. But it will make you feel like a complete badass. And these people, this place -- it's just the happiest.

I’m entering my fourth month at Metabolic Fitness and couldn’t be happier with my decision to join. I’ve trained off and on since I was in middle school, at YMCAs, at small gyms, large gyms, with NY Giants players while I played football and beyond. Unfortunately I have had my share of injuries including a complete knee replacement. I need a gym that understands my needs, both physically as well as knowing that I need a challenge. The coaches at Metabolic in Clifton Park have taken all of my needs into consideration and challenge me each and every visit. They challenge me to push personal bests and to not give up. Their enthusiasm is intoxicating, energetic and in Drew’s case, dad joke funny! The workouts last about 45 minutes, just right for my super busy schedule. In the months that I’ve been here I have lost an additional 10 pounds and gained muscle back that I thought was long gone! I may even have a non-beverage six pack by Memorial Day! Can’t even believe that! I blame all of the success on fantastic coaches, Courtney, Abby, Reaghan and Dad Joke Drew, love them all after only a few months. I also love everything that the gym offers and can’t wait for the new rounds of exercises! Metabolic Fitness rocks!!

Metabolic Clifton Park is truly the first gym I’ve been able to maintain a consistent schedule. Every class is different from the last and it challenges you both physically and mentally. What sets Metabolic apart from the rest is the coaching. Every coach is genuinely invested in helping you become your best and strongest self. I was never naturally motivated to work out but somehow it clicks as soon as I walk through the door. Since I started almost 2 years ago, my physical and mental health has transformed, and I’ve lived a much happier and healthier life. Even on the rare occasion that I miss a day, I develop a fear of missing out. That in itself is a testament to the product Metabolic puts out and the community it has created.

Everything about this place is amazing! The coaches go above and beyond to make sure you are doing things correctly and not injuring yourself. For 8 weeks, I gave the macros a shot and it showed me everything I needed to know to get the results I was looking for, with the help of a coach. They help you with the numbers, check in everyday, and give different recipes to never get boring. I have continued to go throughout my pregnancy, 27 weeks at this time, 5 days a week. They have all the modifications done, explain them before the workout, and are just as challenging. I truly love coming here every morning knowing they have everything set up for a 45 minute workout that is challenging but different exercises and templates per day so it never gets boring. You can show up to any location and they treat you like family, like your home location. It is a community of great people! This is my 3rd year and I will not be giving it up anytime soon!

When I took my first class at metabolic about four years ago my intention was to do one free class so my friend would stop asking me to go BUT before the class ended I knew I was going to keep coming back. Within that 45 minutes I realized this place was more than a gym. The coaches become your biggest cheerleaders, other members become your friends, a sense of community has been built within this gym. If you’ve never worked out before or if you workout regularly metabolic is for you. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been and I have metabolic to thank for that. I’m forever thankful for the trainers for pushing me out of comfort zone and helping me achieve goals I never thought were possible!

Metabolic clifton park is the best. I have been part of this community almost 5 years now and I couldn't be happier with my progress and how much I have changed in that time period. I started Metabolic to lose weight. Not only have I seen results in losing weight but wow have I gotten stronger! (Ask to see my calluses to prove my point ;) I not only feel great physically but mentally.
I was so nervous stepping into the gym knowing all the strength and abilities others have. But when I first began my workouts the coaches always checked in to see how I was doing and even asked if I had any injuries to prevent any more.
I appreciate each and every coach, their dedication and their support throughout my journey. They pump me up for a great workout and always are there to make sure my form is on point!

Since rejoining metabolic with my wife, it has now become part of our daily routine whichever time slot fits our busy schedules. The workouts are challenging but properly adjusted each day to provide you with various workout templates throughout the week. This community if you will, welcomes all those who want to better their fitness and health. For me, and having played basketball at the collegiate level, it’s brings back the competitiveness and satisfaction of winning once the workout is completed. Lastly, the trainers are second to none. I have joined so many gyms and tried working out from home but I could never be consistent. METABOLIC IS DIFFERENT!!!! I would drop just about anything to get there! The workouts are smartly planned and organized in a way that is easy for anyone to follow and put you on a track to make great progress and achieve results! Prior to metabolic, I didn’t have much knowledge on lifting any type of weight and how to build strength. I’ve learned a ton, gotten a whole lot stronger, progressed in my split times for marathon training because of better muscle efficiency, all while having the time of my life with the best people. I joined Metabolic during a free month promotion in January. I needed a change from my previous gym (high intensity/ frequency cardio) to something more strength based. Since joining, all of the training blocks have been full body workouts. I absolutely love this aspect, as it allows me to comfortably take rest days knowing I won’t miss out on working certain areas. I have noticed my strength has increased, I utilize weights I never thought possible and muscle definition. I have been part of a few other group fitness gyms, but Metabolic is the only one I get the same experience no matter which location I go to. The coaches are all encouraging even if it is the first time training with them. I am grateful for friends that encouraged me to try out Metabolic.

Best workout/gym around! I’ve been to many gyms around the capital region and got a good workout, but was never 100% satisfied. I started Metabolic and have been blown away, not only by how amazing the workouts are, but by how incredible every coach is. They are so accommodating to injuries etc. In a short about of time, I have not only seen physical results, but continue to hit strength goals as well! I have always had body image issues and for the first time in my life I wore a crop top to the gym and felt great! I can’t recommend Metabolic enough ❤️

Iv been going to metabolic for 4 years and counting. I truly believe their workouts are the best out there. It’s a great combination of core, strength, power, endurance, and explosive movements with the coaches constantly preaching proper form to avoid injury. Three years ago, my typical workout day consisted of going to my big box gym and doing a little cardio, some weights, a few machines and an hour and a half later I’d walk out. I wasn’t making any progress; my workouts were boring and it was difficult to make that kind of time commitment 3-4 times a week. One day a friend of mine told me about a gym she had just joined, Metabolic Fitness, and how much she loved it and how I should give it a try. I was a little hesitant. I didn’t think I’d enjoy a group workout. I signed up for a free week and never looked back. The three most important things about Metabolic are: 1) The Culture: Culture starts at the top. Matt Phelps has developed an incredibly supportive, judgement free and member focused culture. You’ll often see Matt in a class, doing the same workout as you. He’s always very approachable and willing to talk. His passion for this really comes through 2) The Workout: This is the real deal. For someone that used to hate working out, the fact that I go 5-6 times a week should speak for itself. Lost 30+ lbs through the workout program and the macros program. Workouts are a bit repetitive but there's enough variety to keep it interesting. Coaches work hard and are very accommodating to individual needs. It can be pricey (which seems to be the industry standard these days) so take advantage of their free class or free month offer and test it out before joining. Coach Mikyla is so amazing too! She is always pushes me to be better and it is obvious how much she loves her job and desires for clients to succeed. The coaching experience feels very personal as class sizes are medium sized- this is essential to ensuring you use proper form and technique! This will go down as the easiest google review I’ve ever given. I started at Metabolic almost 5 months ago, and I’ve never turned back. To say I’ve made progress as an individual since I started Meta would be an understatement. I truly don’t think a workout has ever given me a better quality of life like this one has. Not only is it efficient, convenient and effective…it’s something I look forward to day in and day out (even on the mornings I wake up at 4am to make the first class of the day). The challenging, innovative workouts combined with two successful cycles of Macro training with one of the AMAZING coaches, Skyler Munson, led me to lose 16 pounds since starting up. However, what I’ve gained in mental and physical strength is even more of a personal best to me. My previous pesky injuries and imbalances are pretty much nonexistent, my body is more cut than I’ve ever seen it (and I’ve been lifting for about 7 years) and I’m making PR’s with weights I’ve never imagined touching. This gym is more than just a workout…it’s a community of like-minded individuals all looking to better themselves mentally and physically. Coaches like David, Court, Sara and Skyler are nearly 98% of the reason why I’m never reluctant to show up every day. They believe in us and more importantly they take the time to get to KNOW us, and therefore are the best coaches they can be to all of their clients. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. (and there’s a LOT of us!). They somehow know all of our names (this will never not blow my mind), our quirks, the exercises we hate, and the buttons they need to push to get us to work harder (they DO see you rolling your eyes, lol). I’m forever grateful for taking the plunge and I can’t wait to see how much more I can grow, because with Meta, it’s always forward, never back.

I was extremely nervous to workout in a group setting being as out of shape as I was. “What will the other clients think?” “Will the trainers look or talk down to me?” “Am I even in good enough shape to workout here?” These were all questions I asked myself leading up to finally walking through the doors.
I soon realized walking through the door was the hardest part. I was greeted by a enthusiastic trainer that clearly explained how the program works, learned about any past training and any current or past injuries. You are assigned some weights and just workout in a group setting where there is no judgement. It’s that’s easy. Even though you are in a group setting, you will still get personal treatment from the trainers. Whether it’s them assisting you with proper form or pushing you through one last rep, they are all amazing. The trainers truly care about you reaching your goals.
A typical workout is 45 minutes with a set of stations that combine strength training and cardio with limited rest in between. Each day there is a different workout so you will never get bored. The beauty of how this program works is that the workouts can be tailored to anyone at any age at any fitness level. Each station always has a modification that can be done. You certainly do not have to be in any type of shape to start at Metabolic.
From my first day I was hooked. The workouts are the best i have ever had. You begin to build a relationship with your trainers and other clients that is so unique from other gyms I have been to. Not only do I look forward to the workouts but seeing and being around people who I enjoy working out next to. People that I can now call friends. The family feel of Metabolic is what really sets this place apart.
Over the last year I have lost 40 lbs and 5 inches off my waist from working out at Metabolic. This place has turned my life around. I was hopeless that I’d never get back into shape and Metabolic was the place that finally helped me achieve my goal.

Metabolic is more than a gym, it’s a family, a community that is all struggling through the workout together, cheering each other on to achieve their goals and defy any limits! The trainers are all so motivating and encouraging! You feel as if you’re more than a client, they cheer you on each step of the way and celebrate right along with you when you reach a new PR or achieve something you have yet too do! They want to help you in any way possible! I wake up super excited for my metabolic workout and leave feeling exhausted but in a good way! I have never been an athlete. I have never looked forward to, or enjoyed exercise. I have never “squeezed in” a workout if I found extra time. Metabolic changed all that about 2.5 years ago. I get up, willingly, at 4:30am to spend 45 minutes grinding out a workout with a great group of people and some awesome trainers. I’ve never felt judged. I’ve never felt like I shouldn’t be there. I’ve never felt like I couldn’t do it. I now consistently get to the gym 4-6 days per week and get legitimately irritated if I’m unable to go. I’m in the best shape of my life and look forward to Tim, Ali, and Kayla finding new ways to keep me moving and motivated. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

I’ve been a member for almost 2 years at Metabolic CP and I’m still totally obsessed!!!! Not only are the trainers great, but the workouts are fantastic. I have never fallen in love with a gym like I did when I started metabolic. Since walking in the doors the very first morning a little over a year ago, despite knowing no one, I felt the community of the place and have been going every day since. This isn’t just a gym but a space that builds mental and physical strength. The trainers are knowledgeable, fun and really take the time to make sure each individual is succeeding at their own personal goals. They take the time to help you with form and when you achieve your goals they are right there celebrating with you. I’ve been going to Metabolic for a little over 3 years now. This place has changed my life. I was a former muti-sport college athlete and mom of 2 and struggling with putting my health first. I was at the heaviest I had ever been when I first walked through the doors but I am so happy I did. I have lost 70 pounds since joining and feeling stronger and healthier than I ever have!
Everyone is so welcoming - both the clients and trainers. The trainers take the time to get to know each and every client and know exactly how to push us. I was never an early morning person but it was the only time that fit my schedule. I have been going ever since for 5 days a week. I look forward to seeing my gym friends every morning. I wish there were five more stars to give. I’ve been going to metabolic for 3.5 yrs and I am stronger at 37 than I have ever been in my entire life. Prior to going to Metabolic, I was skeptical of group fitness because I would worry it would not be a good enough workout. That has never been the case at Metabolic. Metabolic.. a place that means so much to me (that it’s actually hard to put a review in writing). I joined Metabolic in 2017 and it has been a part of my life ever since. I remember sitting at my desk watching a YouTube video about what Metabolic (Meltdown) was, hearing everything they had to say about community, how it’s a workout for everyone, and thinking “this is one of those too good to be true” deals. But let me tell you- it’s all true and then some. The workouts are incredible and always challenging for any “fitness” level. From beginners to seasoned athletes: the trainers will find a way to challenge YOUR ability level. While I’ve always enjoyed my time at Metabolic, the past 10 months have been the most special to me (my postpartum journey). 4.5 weeks after I gave birth I found myself MISSING THE GYM (I never thought in my life that I would become that person). I walked in with all kinds of restrictions from my doctor and left in tears- tears of happiness because I was back at it, and tears of irrational frustration because the picking up the smallest kettlebell (pounds and pounds lighter than what I could lift before) felt like picking up a million lbs. But there was Tim, Ali, Laura and Lynsey- trainers full of encouragement, positivity and KNOWLEDGE to help me modify everything and cater to my new found challenges. You will not find trainers like the Metabolic staff (speaking for all of their locations- as I’ve worked out at multiple ones) anywhere else. Any personal trainer can tell you to lift some weights, give you a workout plan, and take your money. The metabolic trainers are attentive and take the time to get to know their clients (on a fitness level and on a personal level) which has created an environment like no other when you walk through the doors.. not to mention it adds some humor to the workout when they are in your ear using something that’s going on in your life to help you get to the bell. Above the trainers is a founder and team of program developers that are so full of knowledge and want what’s best for their clients. More recently they have been putting out content in the form of videos and podcast to answer questions and talk about fitness. Sharing their expertise in proper form, mobility, nutrition, etc. makes the difference to people like me, who rely on the things they have to share to make sense of the workouts and personal nutrition habits. Metabolic is a community where I feel welcome and where I WANT to be 6 days a week. I walk a little taller when I leave a Meta class and love any opportunity I get to talk it up- rather it be with someone who has never gone to a class and says “oh you go to Metabolic? That looks crazy hard” or if I run into another client (often strangers outside of the gym walls) and the conversation starts with “omg did you go today? What did you think?”
