Metabolic is a necessity for my girlfriend and me. I need the group atmosphere and the organized workout program to keep myself motivated and committed.

I tried going to other gyms on my own prior and found myself doing mostly one muscle weight exercises. I lacked the knowledge to incorporate smaller stabilization muscles. Motivation decreased and commitment went extinct.

At Metabolic there is no shortage of motivation. The coaches there (Emma, Molly, and Jess) are the best. They are beasts too. Pretty sure they track down full grown elk during full moons for there monthly meal prep.

Im not exactly sure why, but I was hesitant to join Metabolic for quite a while. I’m not sure what finally pushed me to give it a try but it was the best decision. I LOVE it! The coaches are awesome, the atmosphere, the music, it’s all so fun and motivating! Everything is so organized and has purpose. It pushes me out of my comfort zone. I sweat like I’ve never sweat before. What’s the saying, if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you? It is challenging, but being constantly surrounded by strong motivated people and coaches that cheer you on only pushes you to dig deep and find it in you. And then you start to see the changes and feel stronger and more confident. If you’re considering joining, just do it, it will be the best decision! I look forward to it every day.

My good friend had tried getting me to join metabolic for a while but I was always hesitant because I never enjoyed working out especially in group settings. I have now been with metabolic for a year and I can genuinely say it was the best choice I made. Molly was the first coach I spoke with and she made me feel so comfortable and always encouraged me. Pros: positive atmosphere and a great workout in a clean facility. Plenty of people of all abilities and ages. Great music and no thinking into what your workout will be. The community is awesome and it is nice to be around great people.

Cons: it's expensive, and in recent years their prices have gone up and up. Including increased rate if you want classes before 7 "peak hours" and around 280$ for a 6 week macro program. If you don't cancel your macro program after the 6 weeks you'll be automatically billed for it like a rolling subscription whether you receive macro coaching or not.

Unfortunately reduced hours aren't great for working people. There are 5 am classes, if you can get in and book a week in advance.

If you're running late be prepared to have the doors be locked and charged 15$. If you realize you can't attend a class within 12 hrs and decide to drop, you'll be charged 15$.

Additionally aggressive marketing techniques can be annoying. Be prepared to have their clothes and own protein/pre-workout pushed on you. It definitely feels like the trainers get a commission based on how much product they sell.

I have heard several stories of miss billing or double billing clients. The process to get the charges reimbursed is tedious and the communication is sub par in this area. Several of my friends had to hound the billing person to set things straight.

With all this being said I still go and I love it. I still think it's worth around $80-110/month for the experience.

Straight up predatory business model.

I signed up for the free month in queensbury and was told I could cancel before the end of renewal with no issues. I kept going for another month but it was too difficult to make class times and was wasting money. I attempted to cancel the day before the next renewal and didn't get a response until after renewal. I was then informed there was a 30 day cancelation notice and an additional $200 fee on top of that. They are now giving me issues canceling since I won't fill out their form saying I consent to their cancelation policy... because I don't.

I would avoid this place at all costs. Spend your money on a decent personal trainer who will be transparent and meet your needs.

Edit: in response to the comment from the establishment, your store level employees would not likely have come up with your policies, so I did not see the point in bringing the stress to them regarding the matter. It would clearly come from the corporation. Please provide a copy of your contract as it is not provided at the time of intake for my records, nor does it appear to be within your app that you utilize. I would like to provide a copy to my attorney since you are still attempting to charge me a fee that I refused to consent to on your cancelation form.

I am coming up on my 2 year anniversary of joining Metabolic. It has been the best gym I have ever been apart of, and I have tried out my fair share of gyms/work outs. The coaches and work out templates are just unmatched. It is evident that the coaches have a life passion and goal to make each member feel welcome, encouraged and strong when they leave each class. When I feel myself getting caught up in life and falling off and missing classes, I will get a personal text from a coach, holding me accountable and encouraging me to get back in there for the next week of classes. They are such a great support system and I am so thankful to see them every day when I head into that gym.

Metabolic is like my therapy on hard days and I can honestly say that after 2 years, I am the strongest both mentally and physically that I have been in my life. I strongly encourage anyone to give Metabolic a try and see if it changes their life like it has changed mine.

The studio manager, Molly Mason, could single-handedly manage the country, that's how hardworking, reliable, dependable, and passionate she is about the gym and more importantly, her clients. Seriously, I would trust her with managing my life LOL. Not only are her administrative skills top tier, but her coaching style is unmatched. I always feel challenged, seen and heard! I started at Metabolic Saratoga almost 5 years ago. I am a runner and was looking for something new. What truly first drew me in was the wide variety of class times. Any gym I had ever been a part of structured classes were only offered in the evening, and with small kids I needed options. I was immediately welcomed by not only the instructors but the other clients as well. The amount of talent and time put into each and every workout, is something you won't find anywhere else. The year of the Covid-19 shutdown, in this area of my life I would say was a blessing. We all got news of all the closings, and almost immediately all members were given access to an online platform that was very comparable to the in-studio experience, that provided a new workout every day. They undoubtedly care for their people. When you walk through those doors (no matter what location), your only competition is yourself and you've got a room full of cheerleaders every time. I could say so much about this community and what it means to me, but I can promise that the only regret you'll have is not having joined sooner.

My first class I was so intimidated by all of the people around me that were definitely way more in shape than I was, but before I left that first day I knew I was never going to work out anywhere else. Metabolic has been one of the best decisions I could have possibly made for not only my physical health, but for my mental health as well. The 45 minutes of class are “me time” where nothing else matters. The workout, your weights, and even where you’re going to stand for the workout are given to you daily by the coaches. Can’t do something because of an injury? No problem, they have a modification for you. They also have ways of making a movement harder, and really pushing you, even when you don’t think possible. Not only are the workouts the best, the community is unmatched. In the two and half years I’ve been working out at Metabolic I have not met a person I haven’t liked. The coaches are clearly passionate about their jobs, and the other clients are some of the best people I know. Phenomenal coaches and workout program! I have been going to the Saratoga location since it opened in 2017 and regularly attend about 5 classes each week. The workouts are fun, change often enough that I don’t get bored, and also target different movements/muscles so you get a balanced, complete workout. The coaches correct your form, make sure you are executing your exercises safely, but also challenge you throughout the workout. They have helped modify exercises whenever needed for injury or personal need. No matter what your current fitness level may be, I recommend trying out a workout (or a week!) at Metabolic. You may have trouble sitting for a few days, but the coaches, atmosphere and other clients will keep you coming back!

I started at Metabolic four months after having my first baby not knowing what to expect other than I was going to sweat... a lot. The first class I took was with Molly, who can light up any room with her energy and passion. She took the time to ask me a few questions (injuries, etc) and provided me with the necessary modifications for the workout. She checked in with me throughout the class and was incredibly motivating. I left feeling accomplished and was surprised by how quickly time went by. I liked that the coach knew everyone by name and while coaching was still able to make people smile and laugh (pretty sure she had me smiling doing burpees). Definitely the best and most welcoming experience I’ve ever had trying a new class!

Of course, I came back for more. Here we are approaching 2 years since I first walked through those doors and I have not been let down. Sure the workouts are killer, I lost the baby weight and gained an ab or two but what really keeps me coming back is the coaches and the community that they have built. Every coach brings something special to the table and takes time to get to know each member on a personal level. You are not just a number at Metabolic. They are dedicated to making you feel like you’re part of the family and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Something I haven’t found at any other gym is the community of people cheering you on and fighting right beside you. No one is judging you. No one wants to see you fail. If it’s not the coach on the mic pushing you, it’s the people working out next to you. You are not in it alone at Metabolic and that in itself makes this place special. I don’t know what’s in the water over there but it really is unlike any other.

I have been coming to metabolic for about six years now and have loved it since day one. When I tore my acl skiing, the trainers modified my workouts to fit with my physical therapy, and helped me build back muscle and confidence so I was able to return the following ski season even stronger than before. I joined Metabolic once I was allowed to work out, after having my first child. I'll never forget that at my first class Molly said "Rome wasn't built in a day" after noticing I was pushing myself too hard at that time. That has always stuck with me because it just shows how the coaches at Metabolic have a great balance of pushing you but not beyond your limits and always want you to be safe. That was when I could barely do a lunge. Now I am not only flying through jumping lunges, but I am capable of so much more than even my pre-pregnancy body allowed. This gym stands out from the rest because all of the coaches are amazing, the music is unreal, the workouts are challenging/interesting everyday, the community is positive, people of all different shapes/sizes/ level of fitness/ages are welcome, and all you have to do is show up and do what your instructed to do (at your own pace). What more could you ask for you in gym! I think the key to getting the most out of Metabolic is finding a schedule that works for you and sticking to it = consistency. This way it is simply apart of your daily routine. I can honestly say I'm in the best shape of my life and it is 100% due to Metabolic. Many problems with the form of membership and staff is rude. I saw another post that has the same issue as mine where it was difficult with my schedule to make it to 8 classes or more a month. I cancelled and was told I couldn't because of the contract and it had to be done within the first few days of the month. I said I wasn't told when I signed up and I was told that it is in the Contract. (This was the first time around.) The contract is very lengthy and in very small print on the app. I gave it a try again a year later and signed up and although I cancelled in time and spoke with Molly over the phone and was assured it would be cancelled for the next month, yet it was not. When I called and spoke to Molly again she told me that I had to come in to sign a paper form to cancel. I never had to sign a form the first time and she did not tell me over the phone I had to come in to sign a paper to cancel but insisted she did. I am certain I would have gone in to sign the paper form if that were the case. This place has ripped me off over $300. They change their "Contract" and their policies as convenient for them, do not own up to their mistakes, and will rip you off.

I was a member for 5 months. Cancelled because I am a nurse and I found it hard to fit in 8 classes a month with my schedule. The price is high. $160 a month. When I cancelled I was told I needed to give 30 days notice. So I was forced to pay for another month. I didn’t remember this in the contract. I don’t remember them verbally explaining this to me regarding the cancellation notice when I signed up. After a long 12 hour shift at the hospital, I made a mental mistake of signing up for a class the very next morning when I meant to sign up for Friday morning. I immediately corrected my mistake. This gym has a cancellation fee within 12 hours. $10. I was charged two days later for the cancellation fee and I emailed them explaining the reason. They told me they understand and they are unable to refund me. They told me to let them know in advance so I’m not charged. Earlier this year I was being charged for two memberships and didn’t notice. They were able to refund me that full amount then. So why not now? This is towards the end of my membership. I have 3 classes left that I could use but I wont be using them. I don’t feel supported by this gym. It seems like they’re in it only for the money.

I walked through Saratoga Metabolic’s doors the day it opened in hopes to start a new beginning for myself. I didn’t realize how much was waiting for me behind those automatic sliding doors.

As a former collegiate athlete I knew that there was hard work to be put in, but being in my 40s, having a child and battling injuries I did not know if I could physically or mentally hang with others in a gym setting like this. After my very first work out I knew that I could! I knew that I could because of the support I felt right away from the trainers.

The trainers show you exactly how to do each exercise movement each day and provide you with modifications to fit your needs. Sometimes the trainers are right there next to you telling you to do that one more rep that you did not think you could do. Other times they are yelling your name across the gym or doing the work out right alongside you. They are making you laugh with their crazy dance moves and singing abilities or asking you a survey question as you tremble and shake. These trainers get to know you on a personal level which in turn makes you want to be better for them!

The trainers may not realize that even though we see them 45 minutes a day that they set us up for success in and out of the gym each day. We accomplish something together. We get shout outs via Instagram. We get text messages and phone calls to check in and see how we are doing. They send us recipes and help us to fuel our bodies better. They are support system to our physical and mental well-being.

After walking through those doors I have no regrets. I have become stronger and have a sense of community that I know will not judge me by the weight I am lifting or how fast I may do an exercise or my current physique. I have created friendships and seen amazing transformations occur around me. The backbone to all of this is thanks to the trainers and the example they lead by.

I couldn’t ask for a better place to workout and also I’m beyond blessed on all of the friendships I have made with the trainers and the other people who workout! I feel like they are all family! Metabolic gives you the opportunity to better yourself on a daily basis. From top notch facilities, to even better coaches, it’s a special place that is more than a gym. Anyone can fit a 45 minute workout into their day, and doing that here while being pushed by these coaches will leave you stronger and healthier, both physically and mentally. If you arrive here ready to work hard on your first day, you’ll leave an hour later with great friends and an addiction to this community. Oh, and a hell of a lot stronger. The workouts are great. The trainers are amazing! They have great energy and are always welcoming. They have a way of motivating you and keeping you accountable without intimidation. During the shutdown, I got regular text messages from the trainers to make sure I was sticking to the workout. I love that I can get a complete workout in 45 minutes.

The trainers are top notch and always there to adjust your form and encourage you to achieve your fitness goals. They do a tremendous job of modifying the workouts for people at all fitness levels.

The workouts give you the biggest bang for your buck. They are fast paced, efficient, and always give you a great workout. Not to mention that Metabolic is a community. I’ve made some great friends at Metabolic and we all work side by side to get better!

Hands down, the best choice I’ve made training at Metabolic. The trainers are knowledgeable and caring who motivate me to work hard. They meet you at whatever fitness level you are at. When I was injured the trainers gave me modifications to ensure the workout was still meaningful but safe. This place. I have been a member of Metabolic since 2018. It has gotten me through the hardest years of my life after my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It is so much more than just a gym or workout to me - it is the people, the community, and yes the sweat. The workouts are never the same, you are always working different parts of your body, and the trainers are next level. They are never there to just yell the exercises at you - they are right next to you encouraging you to dig deeper, to move that extra inch, and always, always reminding you that you can do hard things. Metabolic is by far the best total body workout regime I’ve ever experienced. Whether you were a regular ‘work at your own pace gym rat’ like myself, or someone who is new to working out, the folks at Metabolic will tailor their program to get you into the best shape of your life! The gym is extremely clean, all the staff and clients are friendly and there is a one team, positive attitude! Every trainer is friendly, super motivating and works hard to bring out the best in you from a fitness perspective. This gym has changed my life. I was always someone who was on a sports team in high school, so having the opportunity to transition into this community was the perfect match. Every single trainer that I meet and learn from, has treated me with kindness and respect, and has created a motivational atmosphere for me to strive in. I have not only taken advantage of the amazing workout regime, I have also done macros with the coaches and have had wonderful results. Their facility is clean, and cared for, and it truly shows.
