I look forward to my sessions with YooMi every week! I take private sessions two times a week, and I feel so much stronger–mentally and physically. Yoomi is an attentive, considerate, encouraging, and knowledgeable Pilates instructor. Plus, she's inspiring! I can't wait to be as skilled as her one day. I have been working with YooMi for over half a year now, and she has done wonders for my posture, mobility, and back/knee pain. I feel stronger, lighter, and more relaxed after every session.
As a coach, YooMi is really kind and attentive. She is super knowledgeable about anatomy and alignment, so she corrects my form and makes adjustments so I don’t hurt myself while working out. She changes up every workout, so I’m challenged each time, but she never rushes me through anything. I feel really comfortable and well cared for with YooMi. Her studio is also extremely clean, tidy, and smells amazing!
I can’t recommend her enough. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s made such a big difference in my physical and mental well-being!

I am currently 12 sessions in with Yoomi for 1:1 classes, and I definitely feel a difference in my strength compared to when I first walked in. I am able to do some of the exercises now without struggling haha! I have no background in working out nor exercising, and am quite weak especially my upper body. I also have lower back pain due to a previous injury, as well as terrible posture and anterior pelvic tilt. Yoomi pushes and works me every session while making sure I have the correct form. I also appreciate that she has a background in somatics which makes the entire session therapeutic and relaxing. I always leave the class in a good mood! Highly recommend Yoomi!! :)

Excellent pilates class. Helps my endometriosis (and all the problems that come with it) tremendously. Yoo Mi is an amazing instructor, takes everything you tell her into account when planning the classes, and she’s super patient. The equipment is super modern, the place is spotless and really nice. Can’t recommend enough!!

Mind & Body Pilates is a game changer for anybody who wants to feel amazing in their own skin. Yoomi is an amazing instructor and challenges me to push past my physical boundaries while also being mindful of my limitations.
Yoomi always spends the first few minutes of the session assessing your body and finding areas that are imbalanced. This is pivotal not only for having great form during the session, but also helps build your awareness in your day to day life and enhances the quality of life as you age.
Throughout our sessions, Yoomi guides me through each exercise and ensures that I am working out in proper form. After each set, she makes sure that you stretch and shake off your muscles in order to avoid cramping and enhance recovery.
By the end, I always feel sore and filled pride that I made it through another an intense hour of Pilates. Every. Single. Time.
Yoomi makes me feel extremely comfortable throughout our session, which is a pivotal quality for an instructor, in my opinion, because, like most people, I feel insecure about my body. If you’re like me, and you’re a little shy, book an appointment right now! You won’t regret it.
In fact, I recommended her to my friend, W, and we agreed that Yoomi is probably the best Pilates instructor in NYC. I highly recommend Mind & Body Pilates. 100%

I've been doing pilates private trainings with Yoo Mi few years already. Due to my work related and gym, I always get injured and tightness in my body. She helps me aligned my body posture, stretch and loosens it.
She would always show me some moves that can help my body and prevent injuries. She is the best pilates trainer that I tried and haven't try others since training with her.

I have been going to private sessions with Yoo Mi for two months. I walked in with my left knee in pain even though I had already taken almost two months of physical therapy twice a week to avail of the pain and weakness I felt in my knee. I can actually go up the stairs normally again, my posture looks so much better, my core feels stronger. Yoo Mi explains what you have to be mindful of in terms of your body when you’re doing positions. I’m so grateful to her because she’s constantly making sure alignment is correct and I don’t hurt myself. I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s a very sweet instructor. I love the sessions so much I am onto my second package.

My sister and I have been going to Dr. Yoo Mi for a few months of private sessions and we LOVE her classes! Each session is different. We could be using the reformer, we could be using weights or the box, but she knows how to make it challenging and fun.
If you live in the Sunset Park area, do check her out! I’ve done Barre and Pilates classes before, but I truly feel like I’m getting the most of my workout with an expert like Yoo Mi who can gently correct our alignment and movements in real time! After each class we feel sore but accomplished. She’s the best.

I can honestly say I've never enjoyed exercising until I've tried the personal classes with Yoo Mi.
I've tried other classes, such as yoga and barre, prior to finding this studio on Google Maps and have always felt that the instructors were not meticulous enough and that they were potentially opening me up to injuries. Yoo Mi is on a completely different level as an instructor.
As others have said in their reviews, Yoo Mi is incredibly knowledgeable in the areas of anatomy and alignment. On the first intro class, Yoo Mi was able to diagnose all the issues with my posture and create lessons that are tailored to fix said issues in an engaging yet challenging way. She keeps a close eye on my posture and my movements and will make adjustments based on my performance/condition for the day. I feel completely safe and taken care of while learning from her.
I've been taking classes 2x a week for a month now and the classes never feel dull - there's always an introduction of a new exercise to the routine and a multitude of machines to work worth. I've also felt my posture and energy levels improve. I can't wait to see what six months of lessons will bring!

I love coming for a session with Yoo Mi! She really pushes you to keep moving and works out parts of your body you rarely do. She's great at explaining the positions and movements clearly. After every session I always leave feeling stretched and sore at the same time. It's never boring because there's so many Pilates equipment in her studio, even ones I've personally never seen before. This is a great workout and worth a try! You will really be hooked.

I have been taking private sessions with YooMi since 2018.
She is an amazing Pilate instructor who is very knowledgeable of anatomy and alignment, experienced and able to design personal program that is both safe and challenging for me.
There are enormous benefits that I have gained throughout the sessions:

Don't be fooled by the residential brick stone exterior. As you walk in the front door from the stairwell it looks like a legit pilates studio.
Clean, bright atmosphere with all new equipment, and even a private locker room.
I was impressed with Dr. Kim's approach of first analyzing my posture. I told her of my sports injuries and the parts of my body that chronically hurt. And she corrected my posture. Strange, but now, with the help of a skeletal figure, I understood what the correct standing posture is and how I should be pumping my legs when I run. (with the help of my hips)
I feel like I'm walking funny, but when I was running today, I really did feel like I was getting more out of my strides.
