I have been going to mindful movement for about a year now, and I love it! The instructors are so supportive and caring and foster a really positive environment. I am so glad I found this studio! Tina is patient and thorough and I feel like I'm doing something to really help myself! I'm 71 and want to stay limber and strong and these classes are helping me to do so. I love the smaller group setting because the instructor is never far away and able to make sure I am doing it correctly. Because Pilates is fairly new to me, that's important. Definitely worth the ride from my home in Mattituck!

This is a great studio, I had never done Pilates before but the instructors here are so kind, supportive and encouraging, it has been over two years now- probably the longest I have ever stuck with an exercise routine. The mindful movement pilates studio is outstanding. I have been attending for at least 6 years and I'm a life-er. The staff is very experienced and qualified to handle any injuries you may have and work with or through them. The studio is spotless with state of the art equipment. No class is ever the same and the instructors somehow whip up such innovative classes. I've always felt comfortable here with my body type which can be difficult for some people. This studio is definitely a judgement free zone for men and women. My husband takes a private class weekly and he feels a difference while he works. He drives a ton and does a lot of lugging and lifting. In addition to all of this the people attending are a warm and friendly bunch. I have made several friendships from the studio. If you are looking for a safe, private and competent studio. Don't miss out. It's a special place.

I have always loved doing mat pilates and yoga, but needed to add the weight bearing exercises that Pilates Reformer classes offer after a diagnosis of Osteoporosis. Mindful Movements Pilates has the very best reformer classes. The instruction you will receive at this studio is outstanding! Tina and Courtney structure the classes to meet the needs of all the students by differentiating the exercises. They offer options for every level of fitness, so that each client receives instruction that is safe and effective. I especially love how they are able to switch up the exercises we do, so that the classes are never exactly the same. Besides being both challenging and fun, you will quickly see growth in your balance and strength. Great total body workout!

I've been taking classes for the past 3 years. I really love this place because all instructors have different styles so you have options, the building has spacious parking lots, and people I met here are very nice. There are morning and afternoon classes so have many options to take. The lesson fees are very reasonable. I took group lessons with a instructor Tina. My instructor (Tina) differentiate her instructions for the different levels, individualize instructions into the personal level (she remembers each client have what physical capacity), and annunciate instructions so clearly.

I admit I was skeptical that someone like me who’s been out of shape for a few years could jump right in and actually enjoy Pilates classes. I was pleasantly surprised! This studio has small comfortable classes with instructors who are kind and invested in providing individual assistance to meet each student where they are today in their fitness journey- no judgements! Just over a month ago I made a decision. One of the best decision I've ever made. I booked my free intro class with Courtney at Mindful Movements Pilates. The last several years my body had been taken hostage, by ongoing chronic back pain, thyroid disease and menopause issues. Ugh! It was time to take it back! I started coming to this studio after having an abdominal surgery that weakened my core quite a bit. As a former fitness instructor and personal trainer myself, it was a very hard adjustment for me to be the one that needed the modifications to get through the classes. I can't say enough about the encouragement and support both Courtney and Tina gave me as their student, and more importantly about their knowledge about the body and how i needed to heal my core and strengthen it with time. Their classes are not only challenging but they are fun as well and their studio is the perfect cozy setting that makes you feel at home.
