Moving Strength’s workout programs combine TRX, Yoga and classic Pilates exercises with the scientific elements of Whole Body Vibration. Utilizing TRX exercises, Restorative components, Yoga poses, Pilates equipment & mat exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to improve flexibility, build strength & develop control and endurance in the entire body, Plate Strength creates the ultimate workout for those looking to “step-up” their exercise regime for faster, more efficient results; athletes (amateur and professional) who are desiring better sports results and/or may need rehabilitation, and the mature fitness enthusiast looking to stay healthy and prevent the negative effects of aging on their body, or simply just want a healthy routine.

Moving Strength pilates is an exceptional place in terms of teaching, availability of classes and friendliness. All the instructors that I have practiced with, in addition of being competent, are very dedicated and follow the students with attention. The studio itself is nice and clear. This place offers a significant number of classes at diverse times which makes it easier to find a fitting time. I definitely and strongly recommend this place.

Challenging, low-impact workout. Great, small studio that doesn't have a corporate feel of some of the larger places. Teachers are amazing - especially Sierra, Madelyn, Quinton, Desira, Lee.

The teachers are experienced warm and helpful. It’s a very easy going environment. All levels are welcomed. They modify for injuries. I feel comfortable and remembered.

My time at this studio was so beneficial to my growth as an instructor. I was exposed to many trainings with valuable information about Pilates and other alternative fitness formats.

I've been doing Pilates at Moving Strength since 2014 and I can't say enough good things about the experience. It might take a little experimentation to find the instructors with whom you "click" best on a personal level, but all of them are extremely competent. They helped me through a broken elbow much more effectively than my physical therapist and they are mindful of each student's weak points -- bad knees, bad hips, scoliosis, the whole gamut. Instructions are clear and classes are small enough that everyone can get some personal attention.

Moving Strength is a great Pilates studio on the upper East Side. The owner and all the instructors are motivating, encouraging, and kind, while still leading a challenging class. They make you look forward to coming to your next class. The variety of classes and times make it so easy fit into my schedule. I’ve made many good friends there by showing up regularly. Moving Strength is a community of nice people who appreciate the benefits of Pilates and similar forms of exercise. I highly recommend it!

I have to say Pilates at Moving Strength has had such a significant change on my life. I hadn’t worked out for many years and I now can’t imagine not having this great studio, fabulous owner and excellent instructors to go to five times a week. It will soon be three years at Moving Strength and through Weight Watchers and Pilates I have lost 27 pounds and the exercise was key in firming me up. I highly recommend this studio for Pilates. It is a lot of fun and there are great people as clients. Once you get started you will be thrilled you did it.

Moving strength is absolutely incredible. Every class I go I feel challenged . The teachers are so positive yet push you to go above and beyond! They have a holistic well being approach - from Pilates to massage therapists and more. Highly recommend this place!

I was playing basketball recently with my friends and hurt my knee. I was searching for ways to get better and came across moving strength. The first time I visited I immediately noticed how welcoming and prompt the teachers were. They gave me pointers on how to strengthen my knee to avoid future injury. After a couple weeks my knee felt more secure than it ever had. I was able to avoid expensive physical therapy cost but got a much better experience. As a man who’s not very spiritual, I was happy to find that no pressure was put on me that might have been at a yoga studio. Great find. Heavily recommend.
