My son has been going to MyGym for over 6 months now and he absolutely loves it! It has really helped him build his confidence and learn new skills. They change the arrangement of the room as well as the class activities weekly, so a new adventure is always around the corner! It’s clean, they play good music, and the teachers are fun, kind and patient. (Shout out to the fantastic team — Ms. Melissa, Ms. Thayle, Ms. Dayanara and Mr. Sibat!!) As a first time parent and SAHM, it has also been a wonderful place for me to connect with others in the community; both my son and I have made many new friends there! I have been attending MyGym Astoria for 8 years. All 3 of my children absolutely LOVED attending their classes/camps. They take so much time to clean/sanitize in between each group so your child can play and engage safely. Ms. Melissa and her team are WONDERS with children. They love and adore them, all while developing their emotional/social skills in the MyGym environment. It is such a beautiful place to bring your child to learn how to socialize with kids their own age all while having SO MUCH FUN. They re-arrange the gym daily so your child is never doing the same thing twice.

My son just turned one in September 2024, and we’ve been attending MyGym since he was 4 months old. I can wholeheartedly vouch for their incredible programs. Since joining, my son has grown so much, and I’ve noticed significant progress in his development. It may sound silly to think of a 4-month-old benefiting from structured activities, but these classes are designed to enhance sensory development, motor skills, coordination, and memory.

The classes are not only fun, but Ms. Melissa and her team are constantly introducing new activities, ensuring no two classes are the same. However, to see the full benefits, I recommend committing to attending regularly. It’s truly a long-term investment in your child’s growth and it has honestly become our second home.

On a personal level, MyGym has been a lifeline for me during postpartum. Attending these classes helped me connect with other moms who are so supportive and going through this crazy journey as well so it’s been so nice to have others who understand parenting isn’t always easy, and seeing their little ones grow alongside mine has been so fulfilling.

We even celebrated our son’s first birthday at MyGym, and they took care of everything. It was a joyful reunion with our MyGym family.

We had such an amazing experience at Mygym Astoria and loved all their classes over a two year span. Ms. Melissa and her teaching team are just amazing. They bring wonderful energy, excitement and encouragement to each class. There is a good balance of structure and open play within each class. I really liked how the classes evolved as my son grew older. My son learned to walk shortly after starting and we ended with Preschool Prep which was a great experience and practice for school. We absolutely LOVE My Gym! Ms. Melissa and her entire team are wonderful! I started attending the Tiny Tykes Class when my baby was 4 months old, and we’ve been going for 6 months now. My daughter gets so excited whenever we arrive, and she absolutely adores all of her teachers. She’s learned a ton while there and gets to practice crawling, walking, and climbing in a safe, clean, huge space. I look forward to class as well, as it is a great way to meet other moms who live in the area. I highly recommend My Gym Astoria!

Love mygym and Ms.Thayla is the reason we love it even more! My son is in the waddlers group and this past Saturday 2/3 Ms.Thayla did an amazing job. It caught my attention that she was on her own this day and she went above and beyond to do a full class of activities, she was back and forth adding fun things to do! All on her own! I asked her if she needed any help I’m here! But she insisted! She’s so sweet to all the kids and personally always greets everyone. Her energy is top tier! I really hope she had help the rest of the day after! Love our waddler class!!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is warm, attentive, and they clearly love what they do. Melissa and the whole team really get to know each child, and the effort they put into crafting a fresh experience every week is obvious. This place is run so well. It's clean and efficient and always always always friendly. If you have a young child who isn't enrolled in daycare or a similar dedicated childcare program, mygym Astoria is your lifeline. Classes are unlimited so if you take advantage of that it's extraordinarily well priced for the value you and your child will get out of it. My daughter has been attending since she was 8 months old (now almost 15 months) and she absolutely adores coming here. I don't know what I would have done without mygym Astoria as a first time mom, this place has been an incredible resource for my family.

If you come and stay for the class as a parent/guardian, you'll see this place is not only about getting kids moving. The teachers are so amazing with kids of so many different personalities and they help each child accommodate to the class so easily. It was an amazing hour where I could watch my child play and have this time to myself (if you are a Mom, you'll know what I'm talking about). Very clean place, amazing atmosphere, hand sanitizer used all over the place. Worth the money!

We visited for an open house. The staff were sweet with the children, the space is small but decent for small groups of children. The monthly price (for Sept 2022) was $169, expensive, and you'd only get about 2 weekend classes, if you're little one already has care/ daycare through the weekdays. So that wasn't practical for us. However if you're child is home throughout the week, you could go to as many classes for their age group throughout the week, as well as open play groups, which would make the price worth it. We're considering signing our child up during holiday months when she'll be home more, but even then it'll be pricey. Overall a nice activity for toddlers & babies, if they have the time & your not already paying for school/daycare through the week.

My daughter loves this place, she is only 1 year old but she knows where we are headed, even for a couple blocks away and stared clapping as soon as we are at the door, that is my biggest joy.
my son used to come here and he always had a smile on his face saying how much he enjoyed the class.

My son is ADHD and, especially through the shut-down, the lack of routines was so hard. But every Wednesday he does a virtual class with Melissa and he looks forward to it so much! They do a special skill every week and she knows how to get the best out of every kid. He is so much better physically and mentally because of this. I fully recommend this gym!

My Gym has been a great experience and learning environment for my three year old daughter. We do the unlimited classes and the preschool prep there. They keep everything clean and switch up the play area often. The staff is very friendly and professional. I definitely recommend them!

We had a birthday party for our children here. Overall, it was a pleasant and fun-filled party experience (especially given its price tag).

Good:
- The price was slightly cheaper than the comparable places ($595 for 20 children for 1.5 hours). There was no surprise additional fee (e.g., food, drink, extra kids etc).
- We could bring our own food and drink. Bring your own food/drink policy saved a lot of money for us (for the parties in the previous years, we had to use specific caterers and spent nearly $100 for additional food/drink).
- The manager was extremely helpful and she was willing to answer any questions about the party planning (both via e-mail and in-person).
- The party leaders were super helpful and took care of pretty much everything during the party. Parents had time to speak with guests.
- The space was not too big and we didn't need to chase around kids during the party. Parents were able to talk each other while they watched kids.

Bad:
- There was no phone reception. There was a free wifi service, but no phone service was available.
- The room was in the basement and was slightly dim (I really wondered why they didn't use better lightning).
- The party activities could have been more engaging. Random sequences of free playtime and center activities were not the best choice for our kids' age (5-6 years old).
- Music sometimes stopped playing and it made us feel somewhat awkward (maybe because the room was in the basement?)
- There was no seat for adults (probably because the place was small).
- Astoria Blvd (N train) was closed and guests had to walk from 30th Ave.

Overall, we had really good time and we highly recommend this place.

We joined my gym right after they opened and we go there as much as we possibly can. It is our main activity, and the classes basically structure our whole week.It is spotless clean, the staff is friendly and engaged and very helpful. My kid loves it. They have trampoline, ball pit, swings, puppets, songs, etc. they are very accommodating with makeup classes, membership freezes, schedule changes, etc. the owner is on site most of the time and is super friendly, helpful and nice. I have nothing negative to say about my gym at all. They have parties that are fun too.

We have been coming to My Gym basically since they open last year. My baby girl loves it! and we LOVE Mrs. Melissa and all the staff members. They are very nice, sweet and patient with my girl. The space is very clean and its so much fun to watch all the little kids practicing new skills.

We’ve have been coming here for almost a year now and the classes grow with my child. He absolutely loves it- a good way to develop his physical skills and burn energy, but also to interact with other children and listen to Instructions from the instructiors. The instructors are energetic and kind and the owner Melissa is very involved and passionate about my gym. We just recently had a second son, and I’m happy to have them both attend classes to get same exposure to development. I highly recommend this place for all ages they host and all genders! I wish the had a grown up version of this!

The staff is AMAZING. The owner is very nice, very involved and very accommodating. The place is immaculately clean. It is my favorite place to take my kid - he loves it and it exhausts him which is great and I love the staff and the music. You can meet moms if you want or just stay with your kid and do your own thing.
