My 5yo has been attending since November and he loves it! The instructors are amazing and have the patience of saints. They are all patient and kind and I feel go the extra mile to give each students attention to help them reach their potential. They inspire confidence and help build the students up with positive their positive upbeat attitudes. I love that they offer classes everyday of the week so that we can fit it into our schedule. It’s also a plus that there’s an area for my younger son (3yo) to play while his brother is in class. This place feels like a family where everyone cheers everyone on.

They offer excellent instruction in the martial arts seven days per week in a very nice facility. Both my children attend and love it. I've seen a boost in confidence level, an added bonus to the physical activity they get while learning new skills!

We have had several belt testings at this location and we were welcomed with open arms. I immediately felt at home at this dojo. Mr. Levitz and his instructors were friendly and helpful to this new karate mom coming to attend her daughter's first belt testing. Mr. Levitz is a wonderful man who is caring, kind and inclusive of all the karate students and their families. I cannot say enough nice things about this dojo. I been doing karate for almost 8 years. At first i dint know anything about martial arts. They had a booth at the Ulster County Fair and i told my mom look i want to try karate. so i went to my first class. When i made my yellow belt i made my mom do karate. So she signed up and did her first class. I didn't want to be the only person to do karate. All of the staff there are so kind. They help you if you get stuck on a kata. The Karate school helped me improve that i can be brave all the time. This school is really great to help you improve lots of things. I recommend this school for anyone. this school is amazing. I am gald i came into karate because i didnt know if i had the guts to do things then. Now i can do stuff and not be sacred or nervous.

My nephew has been coming here for a few months now and it's been wonderful. Not only are they all great instructors but they talk about real life situations. One of the most recent classes they discussed bullying and how to deal with that and I was so impressed because as an adult we don't always know when these things are happening and so if they kids are prepared it can make all the difference. They are also helping to instill much more discipline in him and have a safe and stable environment to go to. We will continue to attend and are so grateful for all their warmness and real care for the kids and their self esteem.

Mr. Levitz runs a wonderful Dojo. This isn't my home Dojo (I train in Kinnelon) but I've visited many times to train and attend various seminars held here. I've made many friends here and really enjoy the spirit Mr. Levitz cultivates here. If you're considering any martial art, stop by here and check out Okinawan Karate, take a class or watch. You'll see something different. All instructors are dedicated to getting the best out you not just in training but also in learning the history and culture of how Okinawan Karate first came about.

This dojo provides the highest quality instruction in martial arts. The staff is extremely knowledgable and professional. This dedicated staff runs a traditional dojo that is fun to attend. The dojo itself is a beautiful building and the education one receives here is not just in kicking and punching but the educate and grow the whole student. While learning self defense, you learn self confidence, to be responsible, and self empowerment.

The staff here is extremely devoted and they have a large amount of kids from about 5 on up. There are many adult students as well and the place has a welcoming, caring feeling that is unusual in many martial arts schools. The Head Instructor Mr Levitz has created not just a school, but a community. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be a member of his school.

I've been privileged to be a student at NPK for several years, and it's been an amazing ride! The Head Instructor and all the staff are sincerely dedicated to helping students achieve their best, encouraging, pushing, and displaying patience on a case-by-case basis. The result is a school with an incredibly diverse student body where the atmosphere is friendly and motivating, and students are supported as they advance in their training. The curriculum encompasses traditional Okinawan karate, practical defense, and for the more advanced students, traditional weapons. Underlying all is a steady emphasis on non-violent conflict resolution and real-life-success through the development of confidence, poise, focus, and community. There is more here than just punching and kicking. As an educator myself, I'm constantly impressed with the skill and dedication shown by the Head Instructor, Mr. Levitz, the community he's created, and all of his instructors and staff.
